Week 17: NJ Jets at Buffalo Bills PostGame
MDH replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Roberts is as sure handed as it gets returning punts. People are forgetting how questionable McKenzie is returning punts. early in the year they decided to have Hyde fair catch every punt instead of putting McKenzie back there. If the Bills could find the roster spot I’d rather have Yeldon active than Duke. -
Tannelhill was a converted WR that was always going to be a project. He was never going to have an immediate impact. Jets’ offense struggled vs a Bills’ D that had 2-3 starters on the field for most of the game. Darnold had 2 INTs dropped and another called back on a penalty that didn’t effect the play. Game offense ftw! Gase is a guy I want to be with the Jets for as long as possible. I’m not sure what he’s ever done that would lead you to believe he’s a good coach.
-
Or Gase doesn’t know wtf he’s doing.

I will say that I think that @Hou might be an easier game than hosting TN if Fuller is out for Hou. The TN running game plus the way Tanneyhill is playing plus that TN defense seems like a much harder task.

Anyone else watching McCarron and thinking, “he doesn’t look great but he looks a whole hell of a lot better than Barkley”?

Crowd Reaction when Lorenzo's was pulled

How would you like them to do it? He called a time out and pulled him out of the game. That’s the way it’s done. -

Foster is a huge part of the Bills’ ST. Fans don’t notice those contributions, or lack thereof, until a big return happens. If you want to be WR 5, you better contribute to STs. Otherwise you’ll never see the field. -
Call me crazy but I think @KC is a more difficult game than @Balt. Bills played Baltimore offense really well last time and with a 2nd game I think they’ll improve on that performance vs. an offense that counts on being a one of a kind entity. I don’t trust the Bills to be able to shut down that KC offense or the Bills’ offense to be able to keep up.

I saw guys running open and Allen missed them. Allen hits those plays and the offense puts way more points on the board. It’s okay to admit Allen played poorly and still believe he can become a quality starter.
-
Couldn’t you have just put “Duke Williams” somewhere in the thread title so I would have known to avoid it?

They didn’t have enough CBs to sit Wallace. He was going to have to play. Same with some of their rotation on the DL and OL. They have a 90 man roster in the pre-season. They have a 46 man roster in the regular season. They can not sit all the starters/heavy contributors. They sat as many as they could.

TJ yeldon is a playmaker

Yeah, you’re right, given the CB situation they might not be able to sit a S. -
Bills at Texans Playoff Game, Saturday 4:35 pm

We need Wallace and Johnson healthy next week. Even if Fuller is out their pass offense is good. -

Bills dress 4 safeties every week. Sit one of the backups and activate Yeldon. -

For a coaching staff that preaches fundamentals I’m going to pull all my hair out watching this defense miss tackle after tackle. Before this game they had the 2nd most missed tackles in the league. Wouldn’t surprise me if they finish with the most. -
I hope I never see Barkley play another down for the Bills.

I'll reserve judgement until I see where both QBs top out in their development. If I had to choose right now I'd say I'd rather have Mahomes than Allen+Tre, but Allen was a raw QB when drafted and is still developing (for that matter, so is Mahomes.) If Allen keeps progressing I'll be fine with the trade.
-
Yeah, the Bills should definitely be in the top 3 but given the Bills' recent success and the fact that the Browns haven't made the playoffs in 17 years (and only once since their team came back) I'd go with the Browns on this one. For the team with the most miserable fan base I feel pretty F'n happy right now and was ecstatic two seasons ago.

I think if you're going to compare stats from two different areas you need to show how much above average, for their era, that the QB was. So instead of comparing Brees to Marino, compare them to the averages of their era and see which one was more elite in their time. Given the rules changes that favor the passing game a direct comparison isn't exactly the best way of doing it.

2018 QB Redraft. - PFF Says Allen should have went as the 4th QB
MDH replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Even if a fan doesn’t think Allen is the guy, why the hostility? Someone has to agree with you to not be attacked? And I don’t disagree with you opinion of Allen just the way you debate your position. Just don’t see the point of attacking people who haven’t attacked you or who have a different take than you. -
There’s a difference between, “there’s no such thing as being absolutely safe” and “it makes no difference what you do.” Playing football poses a bigger risk of injury than sitting on the sideline. If you don’t understand that I don’t know what to tell you. You’re argument is utterly ridiculous. I’m sure those who are debating this issue and are on your side would prefer it if you sat this one out.
