  1. I actually think no one talked about it here. Which is really a stretch.
  2. I figured NGU was Overdorf and just gave up on the board.
  3. Bone injuries are usually 6-8 weeks. Is this some kind of Gronk style "infected bone"? Or did he just punch a wall when the press reported he was on the bubble?
  4. The Browns' uniforms should be primarily brown with white numbers and orange highlights (and white with brown numbers and orange highlights for the reversed uni). This "orange is the new brown" stuff is wrong. I do like the "Cleveland" on the chest though.
  5. I see 33 rushes, 26 pass attempts per game. That would put the Bills near the top in rushing attempts overall, but not above historical trends. Barring injuries: (Expect 1 injured RB and 1 injured WR during the year! The names will therefore change.) ---- McCoy 20 rush, 4 pass targets ... project to 320 Rush, 64 targets (50 receptions) RB #2 5.5 rush, 2 pass targets ... project to 88 Rush, 32 targets (20 receptions) RB #3 1 rush ... project to 16 Rush Felton 2 rush, 1 pass targets ... project to 32 Rush, 16 targets (11 receptions) QB 2.5 rush ... project to 40 Rush Watkins 7 pass targets ... project to 112 targets (71 receptions) Clay 4 pass targets ... project to 64 targets (40 receptions) Woods 4 pass targets ... project to 64 targets (40 receptions) Harvin 1 rush, 3 pass targets ... project to 16 rush, 48 targets (28 receptions) Others 1 pass target .. project to 16 targets (10 receptions) Total Rushes: 512 (Would rank #3 in 2014) Total passing: 416 Att, 270 Comp ... 64.9% Comp Pct (We can hope, right?) So the above has no basis other than guessing, but I figured I might as well try.
  6. He certainly retired that style of mustache permanently.
  7. Whaley claimed we are not going to give up any picks. I hope that is bluffing. We should continue to look to trade quantity for quality.
  8. You can tell us Whaley wanted him gone? How do you know that... Did he tell you personally, Bryce?
  9. Did the rules against crusading get dropped somewhere? Because I am not clear on how this thread adds anything to the previous threads on Fred. And the poster who started this thread talks about this subject constantly. We get it, you want Fred gone, and so do a few others. But I think that you made that clear IN 10 other places. Find something current to talk about!
  10. Cutting McKelvin is illogical. He has to have trade value... Even for a late round pick. No way he gets straight cut, his contract is not too heavy for another team to carry when you look at his skill level. More likely he sticks around. I am a big Fred Jackson fan but I still see a good chance he gets cut at some point. The whole way it was happening and then suddenly stopped is suspicious.
  11. Besides you know he wouldn't have done it himself. A simple nonverbal cue, and two ball boys would have been waiting at Stevie's house with a gun, duct tape, and cement shoes. It's the Patriot way.
  12. They might want to figure out how much restructuring they need to do with Mario so they do not have to "keep going back to the well" but also don't "over" restructure and load down future years unnecessarily.
  13. The odd thing is, Lee Smith has higher market value than Chandler...(?)
  14. I am really pleased with this signing. It is interesting because when asked Hughes said "I've never really heard of a hometown discount when it comes to the business world" (true) and yet this seems like a slightly below market deal. I think it is a good signing for both sides because Hughes has a real chance to see the full value of the deal. Also I wonder if playing on a great D he will see fewer double teams and other abuse... Possibly less injuries?
  15. A couple of days ago there were a lot of reports he was being released. So there is something going on here. I am not sure I buy the story of the owner saving him a spot. It could be true but I am not convinced.
  16. Another scenario here is that the front office leaked the "cut" rumor in order to try and force a pay cut, rather than a real desire to cut him immediately. The public reaction along with rumored interest from other teams might have bolstered Fred's negotiating position and the FO backed off. For now, that is. The "Pegula getting involved" is almost more logical in this scenario because if they do not get a pay cut from FJ then they may lay out more total cash to restructure other deals... Especially in light of their bid on Clay.
  17. A source who doesn't seem to like FJ, EJ, or Russ Brandon but does like Pegula. Has criticized the FO earlier as well. Strange mix.
