  1. If he makes it, fine. Good move.If he fizzles out, fine. You tried. But if he goes crazy and either disrupts team chemistry or gets suspended, you fire the GM for bad judgment.
  2. I give more credibility to the idea that the Bills might sign Incognito than the idea that Pegula would get near him.
  3. Someone ask Massare if his source reads this board. Then we'll know how to interpret this. Because it is all about us.
  4. Wait I thought we needed Tight Ends that don't get injured?
  5. He said his family is looking forward, not backwards. So should we. This is a thread about Jacksonville's OL coach. I do not care about the Jaguars OL coach because I am a Bills fan.
  6. The question is, what do we need to give up for the player? I think (conditional) picks are good for an RG3. I worry however that the "little talked about" route is a trade involving players. As in, Washington asks for Kiko and a 2nd round pick for RG3. Take your pick, maybe it's Mario or Dareus to give us more space to sign Revis and the new QB.
  7. Do we get to count their punting average? I think Brady might be the top pure QB. But Sammy Baugh as an all around player, with his records at the time (and still holding a punting record) has to fall into a special category. Of course people would hate his quick kicks now.
  8. Trading up to get a QB Jamarcus Russell Open Tryouts Ryan Fitzpatrick There has not been much talk about those options. For good reason I hope.
  9. If the whole thing comes down to one deflated ball that was intercepted, it is a non story. There is a world of difference between one and 11 in terms of intent or plausible explanations. And if the other 10 were at 12-12.4 then it is also a non issue. In which case the entire thing is a botch and a lot of people end up looking stupid. But then I want to know where the 11/12 info came from.
  10. If the story is now that just one ball was significantly deflated, why would the NFL not have made a more direct statement about that fact earlier? Ridiculous. But this is probably how it is going to go... Soon they will blame the Colts equipment manager.
  11. I've determined you are a Bills fan. However I kind of wish you weren't.
  12. You know the DB did make a great play. But in that situation with the game on the line, you have to expect them to go all out. The consequences of a great play against a run are probably a 1-2 yard loss. Then you pass it. Sure a fumble can happen too but it is less likely.
  13. I'd say it was very closely matched. I think if you play it over and over, the Pats win only 50-55% of the time.
  14. The way the Hawks went down left me feeling a little less pissed about the Pats win. Not just Irvin but at least 2 other guys took shots at Gronk. He looked like he was just trying to shove people out of the way. Irvin and any others who threw punches should get minimum $100k fines for that garbage. And the Patriots played their ass off on every down. I hate them but they deserved to win.
  15. I nominate Bob Kraft for the role of villain on the X-Files revival.
  16. So you take all of the balls (starting at say 11.5 psi) just before giving them to the refs and drop them in a jacuzzi for say 10 minutes. Inside heats to say 100-120 degrees. Then you take each one run them under cold water for 30 seconds and wipe. Quickly take to refs for testing. Ball has internal temperature of 110 and external of 70. What are the chances they even notice?
  17. Good news: the Patriots will be fumbling more going forward with their fully inflated balls.
  18. So the Patriots are going to blame this guy and say he was actually trying to sabotage the team from the inside, since obviously they did well with the fully inflated balls in the 2nd half and Tom has already said "no one should mess with them after they're picked". Call him a disgruntled employee and move on. Right?
  19. Yes, they definitely should check with the center. Maybe deflated balls are easier to snap. Let's start a thread.
  20. How about this. Make the Patriots play the SB with their balls inflated by +2, so 15.5. Also fine em $275000 (11 balls x $25000). Seems reasonable.
  21. I think NE is going to claim that someone else tampered with the balls in order to hurt them... After all one got intercepted.
  22. Like the ending of the Sopranos? "But wait what happened to the Russian??"
