  1. Did the rules against crusading get dropped somewhere? Because I am not clear on how this thread adds anything to the previous threads on Fred. And the poster who started this thread talks about this subject constantly. We get it, you want Fred gone, and so do a few others. But I think that you made that clear IN 10 other places. Find something current to talk about!
  2. Cutting McKelvin is illogical. He has to have trade value... Even for a late round pick. No way he gets straight cut, his contract is not too heavy for another team to carry when you look at his skill level. More likely he sticks around. I am a big Fred Jackson fan but I still see a good chance he gets cut at some point. The whole way it was happening and then suddenly stopped is suspicious.
  3. Besides you know he wouldn't have done it himself. A simple nonverbal cue, and two ball boys would have been waiting at Stevie's house with a gun, duct tape, and cement shoes. It's the Patriot way.
  4. Travis Henry should have taken us to the Super Bowl.
  5. Maybe he dropped the contract. Imo
  6. They might want to figure out how much restructuring they need to do with Mario so they do not have to "keep going back to the well" but also don't "over" restructure and load down future years unnecessarily.
  7. The odd thing is, Lee Smith has higher market value than Chandler...(?)
  8. I am really pleased with this signing. It is interesting because when asked Hughes said "I've never really heard of a hometown discount when it comes to the business world" (true) and yet this seems like a slightly below market deal. I think it is a good signing for both sides because Hughes has a real chance to see the full value of the deal. Also I wonder if playing on a great D he will see fewer double teams and other abuse... Possibly less injuries?
  9. A couple of days ago there were a lot of reports he was being released. So there is something going on here. I am not sure I buy the story of the owner saving him a spot. It could be true but I am not convinced.
  10. Another scenario here is that the front office leaked the "cut" rumor in order to try and force a pay cut, rather than a real desire to cut him immediately. The public reaction along with rumored interest from other teams might have bolstered Fred's negotiating position and the FO backed off. For now, that is. The "Pegula getting involved" is almost more logical in this scenario because if they do not get a pay cut from FJ then they may lay out more total cash to restructure other deals... Especially in light of their bid on Clay.
  11. A source who doesn't seem to like FJ, EJ, or Russ Brandon but does like Pegula. Has criticized the FO earlier as well. Strange mix.
  12. Can we add Demetress Bell to the list?
  13. We are not 2 days into FA so EJ is safe.
  14. Those YAC stats must be a lie... He's too slow to play on the NFL! /sarcasm
  15. Let's start a thread criticizing people who criticize other threads.
  16. My feeling about any kind of inside information, regardless of whether it is presented as "probably" or "definitely", is the same: take it with a grain of salt. Since we are talking about anonymous posters with unknown agendas it is reasonable to be skeptical. The good news is, we are talking about football here, not something where inaccurate information is going to ruin your life or harm you. So... Question all you want by all means, but try to avoid outright "attacks".
  17. Except Leroi has (kind of) denied that happened and still insists Fred will be a cap casualty. So the jury is still out.
  18. Fred had 1,062 yds rushing in 2009. Along with just over 1,000 yds returning kicks making him the first to achieve that dubious double milestone.
  19. Only one source clearly indicated Pegula stepped in. The latest article says the executives discussed it and decided not to cut him at this time.
  20. Exactly. I do not doubt that Leroi's posts reflect the views of some in the Bills' FO. I also want to hear any followup matter2003 can provide.
  21. I think Leroi is associated somehow with Whaley or someone who had insight into the pro player analysis. And you know even though I don't agree with everything he says or his view on Fred, I value his input and do not think he is "trolling".
