  1. Negotiating lower prices or PSL caps wasn't part of the deal, apparently.
  2. I'm less concerned about Diggs dropping a pass or 2 than his lack of production over the second half of the season. I hope there was a hidden injury that he can recover from. I don't actually believe he doesn't care or isn't trying.
  3. They are referring to Smiley, the special teams coach... not Clappy, the head coach.
  4. I'm disappointed but not crushed. Of there wasn't a chance of losing, they wouldn't play the game so we have to accept it. I felt like we almost created another epic debacle with the fake punt. It would have been like 13 seconds again. But instead we got bailed out and fought until the end, then lost. So while it is essentially the same outcome as the 13 seconds game (we go home and the Chiefs go to the AFC championship), it doesn't feel as bad. Maybe that's because with the injuries I felt we were barely hanging onto this game, whereas in 13 seconds it really seemed like we had it won and lost it. Whatever the reason it isn't quite as bad emotionally as a game where we blow a late lead or one where we get robbed by the refs. We just didn't make enough plays to win.
  5. One has to wonder how bad Haack looked for them to choose to go with Martin.
  6. How can you distinguish "the Bills offense didn't do enough" from "the Chiefs defense made the difference"? Mahomes and the Chiefs offense scored 27 against an injury plagued Bills defense which was solid before injury. Allen and the Bills offense scored 24 against a mostly healthy (but less so after injuries in game) Chiefs D that was ranked like #2 in some stats. I don't see that you can easily say which one "made the difference". If our defense was healthier, maybe the Chiefs only score 20 or 23.
  7. He still hit some of them in their hands and they dropped the ball. I saw Mahomes miss some throws, I did not see any KC drops (other than those caused by a defender).
  8. If you put any of about 28 other QBs on our team instead we'd have been blown out.
  9. You do realize we beat Miami, and the Chiefs just beat them badly?
  10. I don't believe this. He was accurate on everything except deep passes this season. Tonight he was accurate on those as well but there were drops.
  11. So after June 1 he should be cut and replaced with an average kicker. Just because cutting him causes dead cap, does not mean that we can afford to have a roster spot taken up by a kicker who can't kick. I'm assuming he's not injured, if he is hurt then try him out again next year.
  12. For most kickers it's 90+ in that situation.
  13. This. Leave player "WAGs" out of it. Unless they s**t talk Buffalo first. Anything fans do to Taylor will only make them look like crap. You are talking about someone who is famous for actually performing and songwriting, not a Kardashian, influencer, or OF star. Just ignore her presence. Better options: - Taunt Kadarius Toney and tell him where to line up. At the trough maybe? - Call Mahomes or Andy Reid whiners for crying about refs.
  14. If it's that bad, it seems like they would be better off sending him to IR for a spot. There's only so much time to recover even if we win the next game.
  15. Easier said than done in 6 days. If he loses a step temporarily, he may not be the right guy out there. Let's just hope it is not worse.
  16. This whole "he'll never recover" mentality makes no sense. He's not even 85% back at his current level. It's very reasonable to expect him to be improved next year. Will he have a falloff due to being 35 instead of say 32-33 before that? Yes. Will he recover "100%"? Unlikely. However, people writing him off as "done" don't have a lot of evidence for that. Someone who tears an ACL at 34 can absolutely recover most of the way back, but they will generally recover far slower than a 21 year old. If he puts the work in, he can get back to NFL level. Elite level? Who knows, probably not. Still doesn't make him "done".
  17. "Plays" is not the same as playing at full capability.
  18. From NFL.com: Jalen Reagor reached a top speed of 20.62 mph on his 98-yard kick-return TD, the fastest speed by a Patriots ball carrier this season. In pursuit of Reagor, Bills kicker Tyler Bass reached 20.58 mph, the fastest play by a kicker in the NGS era (since 2016). So, who knew Tyler Bass was a speedster?
  19. I stand corrected on the rushing TDs. No doubt his knack for running in TDs is great, and has not declined. As far as the recovered fumble, people see a guy with a reputation for turnovers holding the ball out while getting tackled, the first thought in their minds is not "MVP".
  20. He started out absolutely red hot and has gotten less effective as the season went on. Yes, he leads the league in TDs but other than that his stats are dropping throughout the year. He has been inconsistent, showing flashes of greatness followed by lots of bad decisions or missed throws. He is near the top of the league in turnovers. Today he had a passer rating of 53.3 with 0 passing TDs, 1 rushing TD, 1 INT, and 1 fumble (which we recovered). His completion percentage has been dropping over the last several games. Is he still in the top ten QBs? Yes. But it is not his best year in terms of overall performance.
  21. He clearly had pain because he kicked his leg indicating it hurt. But, I think it was also a case where his equipment got knocked out of place. So hopefully he is not "injured" just bruised.
  22. I think he is definitely hurt - maybe something not obvious like a groin or back problem. Assuming he's not clinically depressed.
