Tank losers, that record is part of history.

I agree. With our inept QB play, we can't really effectively run a NFL passing offense. So we should throw in some razzle dazzle. Double reverse. Halfback pass. Run some plays with Ivory and Shady in at the same time. Run some wild cat. Run the Philly Shuffle. FAke punt. Maybe 5 or 6 a game. Bill Bellyache and Doug Peterson ran a trick play in the SB. If you catch them off guard could be a big gain or a TD. -

It did count when the Steelers got in because Leodis picked off Fitz in the EZ in the 4th quarter vs the Jets at the Ralph 3 years ago :). -

I love this sentiment that if you don't want to tank and have 2 or bad seasons in a row in the hopes that maybe we might be good someday, then you are happy with 8-8- forever. Dumb. there is more than one way to skin a cat. how about we get competitive and stay there a few years. Establish yourselves as a place FAs WANT to come to Doubt seriously quality Offensive FAs will be lining up to sign on with the worst offense in the NFL on one of the worst teams in the NFL. We'll have to pay which will put us in, you guessed it, cap hell all over again. Winning begets winning. Losing begets more losing usually. -

Remains to be seen and far from a given. At the risk of sounding like a guy that is happy to go 9-7, before we decide we need to dump everything because we can never win the SB with what we have (no way of knowing really), how about we just try to be competitive for a while and build from there? Too late now I guess. I hope you're right. -

Rex didn't know how many guys needed to be on the field. With McDermott, we get 11, but they don't know where to line up. -

I did. We DID make the playoffs last year. All off season McDermott and Bean e trumpeted the win and rebuild line. I expected we would have a starting QB that could actually play the position. I didn't expect our O to be dead last in points by a wide margin. I fully expected us to be at least competitive. I did not expect our D to give up an average of 25Points per game. this is not a to be expected rebuild, it's a train wreck of a train hauling burning tires IMHO. -

I'll give you Darby because they 're did the whole secondary and did a great job. As far as Dareus and his"cancer", what I remember is our D got runned over in 3 strAight blow out losses immediately after he left and he sacked our QB in the playoffs. say what you want about Sammy, but one of the smartest offensive guys in the NFL thinks he's good enough to start for him and you and McDermott dont. Ok, I'll side with Andy Reid. And yes, Woods. I don't know if he wanted to sign here or how much bla bla blah. He wanted to be paid. Like all good NFL players. You have to have them to win. You get what you pay for. why do we never have money to sign people while Atlanta has Ryan (fat wallet), Jones (fat wallet), Sanu who the signed (fat wallet), and Ridley who they traded up into 1st round for yet we never do? I don't buy it. -

I hope Coach McDermott and Beane don't over estimate their runway. With as bad as they are doing, it could be shortening on them come next year if they don't win 7 or 8 games at the very least. A couple of points come to mind here. One, the Bills Parcells line "The coach that is rebuilding is rebuilding for the next coach that comes in." And the moniker for what NFL stand for "Not For Long". Rex blew it by not having a good D. but I liked his idea better. We got a 9-7 team, let's just build on that and make a run at this thing. Poor execution killed it though. Hopefully Coach McDermott and Beane can execute better (they did last year). What happened to win and rebuild at the same time? Don't hear that too much anymore. they might not last the season if that happens. -

Ooops. I was a week behind thinking we were still 2-4. Thanks for the correction -

Lot of "dead weight" starting for quality NFL teams including penciled in SB teams LA and KC. Also last yaer's SB winner and AFC Championship game participant Jax. -

Actually he does not. With Rex we were 15-16 .484 Coach McDermott presently is sitting on 11-11 .500 If you count playoffs, then yeah, he's 11-12. .478 Getting the coach fired worked for them with Rex. Why not crank it up again? They need clicks evidently. I think what they're doing this year stinks to high heaven. But I would give them the rest of this year and next. If the win total does not go up by at least 3, they'd probably be out. -

A -Freakin '-Men Bills fans are the most long suffering AND patient fans. we made the playoffs last year and this year we 're the worst team in the league but it's cool. Be patient. Trust the process. We're gonna rock in 2020. I hope I'm still alive. -
The True reason to fire McDermott
reddogblitz replied to cgg716's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
AND McDermott helped. He pretty much ran the first draft and passed on 2 QBs that are better, not to mention at least one we traded. Beane was busy drafting McCaffrey. McDermott is far from blameless when it comes to the (lack of) talent level on this team IMHO. Hotrod wasn't even on the team in 2014. But yeah, sign Kaepernick. Start him vs da Bears. -
The most depressing part about this whole QB business is we're making the exact same mistakes with Josh as we made with EJ. Cut the incumbent starter. Bring in a vet. Backup is an inexperienced project (if that). Vet doesn't make it out of PS. Bad OC/QB coach. Gotta start him cuz he's all we got. sign some other schmucks after PS. It's a dead ringer. And we expect different results? At least when they drafted EJ they drafted Woods the same year so he would have someone to throw to. These geniuses didn't even do that. We could have taken Ridley.

I was very wrong about Tyrod & have to own it.
reddogblitz replied to twoandfourteen's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
82 yards > 59 yards But really, is anyone saying "Tyrod would be the remedy for the current Bills ails"? I think we would be better on offense which would take pressure off our defense. Would give us a better chance to win (which is the point) IMHO. -

In last night's game (Cheaps/Bungles), all 4 starting units had a Bills cast off starting. This is not an uncommon occurrence. -

If McDermott were to be fired at the end of the season, he will have out lasted Rex. I think he gets into next year, but if it's not a lot better all bets are off. -
