I watched the Schumer/Fienstien press conference. Diane thinks voters are as stupid as Hillary does. She complained that she was only given 5 minutes to ask questions. In those 5 minutes she asked Kavanaugh if he had ever heard of Swaaatnick, Swetnick and asked him if he would ask for an investigation. Took less than 4 minutes..

I hope the Ds lose seats. then maybe they'll have the sense to figure out that this whole all racism, all sexism, all xenophobia, all anti-semetism, all the time is a loser. It lost them 2016 and they didn't figure it out. Hopefully this time they would. And I am no Republican fan either. There are a lot of non minority people that think all this stuff is bad but are tired of being accused of it because of their race and gender I know I am.

I actually was watching the interview when Bill said he smoked marijuana but didn't inhale. I decided at that point I would NEVER vote for him. That's a waste of perfectly good weed.

Senator Durbin (after doing his best Rick Lazio impersonation), said that the Senate weren't investigators. The FBI is. "Let them do their job". Now they did. Now you're saying they're not good investigators? Are you saying the FBI doesn't know what it's doing? Sounds un-American to me. Are the Ds back to hating the FBI again. It's hard to keep track.

Since we are so not competitive, it makes me wonder if we're even trying to win. This is the worst season since 2010 when we stunk and went 4-12 because we were "rebuilding" with Coach Gailey. Hopefully this rebuild works out better. Every year we pi$$ away makes the "one before I die" slogan less likely to actually happen. Sad.

But legally and procedurally, could they have asked for it, and if they did, would have it be honored? Grassley said any one of them could ask for it. Let's say Kamala Harris DID want to ask for it. Could she ask, and if so, would the Rs HAVE to go along with it? I suppose the final call is Trump's since they asked him for it.

I'm not sure what you mean by this. If the Ds wanted to re open the background check, could they do it on their own? Just ask. Or does someone from the majority have to do it? tha't the only difference I can come up with between Flake and them.

I'm confused about something about the process here. Maybe one of you will know. In the hearing, EVERY D tried to get O'Kavanaugh to ask for an FBI Investigation. Grassley said that any one of them could ask for the investigation to be re opened. Finally Flake asked for it and it was re opened. Could a D have done the same? Why could Flake do it and not them?

I noticed this as well. At first I was wondering who that #90 was at Defensive Tackle. Then I remembered it was Shaq LOL. All in all I think the D did it's job. Hold the greatest QB since Joe Montana to 22 points and get 2 turn overs. A functioning offense would be thrilled to get this.

This may be nothing, but one thing about her testimony seems a little odd to me. 2 things. 1. I would assume "pin balling" means they were bouncing off one wall and then into another as they went down stairs. If someone were that drunk that they couldn't even walk down a flight of stairs without bumping on both walls, I would question if they could physically pull off what she claims. Whenever I've been that drunk, I'm not thinking of of raping girls, I'm thinking "I'm never going to drink again as long as I live." 2. If she's locked in a bathroom, how does she know this "pin-balling" is happening?

I've been thinking this whole thing is getting to the be like the OJ Trial. If you watched the verdict with a mixed race crowd like I did (and has been reported on) when the verdict was read the people the same race as OJ were all happy and high fiving. All the people not the same race were asking, "what about the evidence?" It was like getting even for all the times black men were killed because some white woman said he did something, and now the Juice killed one of their's and got away with it. For women this is pretty much the same thing. Even the ladies in the elevator said this was for all women that weren't believed before. Meanwhile the men ask "What about the evidence?"

Since she hired the lawyer that Senator Fienstien recommended and they then tried to negotiate the FBI Investigation to "no scope" after the hearing, I think it's entirely possible they didn't tell her because they wanted th dog and pony show and the delay they got and are hoping to extend. Although it would probably be fellow college drunks next time. She did act surprised when Grassley told her they were making plans to travel to CA. when he said they didn't want her to have to fly out if she didn't want to, she said "Thank You".
