  1. Actually he does not. With Rex we were 15-16 .484 Coach McDermott presently is sitting on 11-11 .500 If you count playoffs, then yeah, he's 11-12. .478 Getting the coach fired worked for them with Rex. Why not crank it up again? They need clicks evidently. I think what they're doing this year stinks to high heaven. But I would give them the rest of this year and next. If the win total does not go up by at least 3, they'd probably be out.
  2. A -Freakin '-Men Bills fans are the most long suffering AND patient fans. we made the playoffs last year and this year we 're the worst team in the league but it's cool. Be patient. Trust the process. We're gonna rock in 2020. I hope I'm still alive.
  3. AND McDermott helped. He pretty much ran the first draft and passed on 2 QBs that are better, not to mention at least one we traded. Beane was busy drafting McCaffrey. McDermott is far from blameless when it comes to the (lack of) talent level on this team IMHO. Hotrod wasn't even on the team in 2014. But yeah, sign Kaepernick. Start him vs da Bears.
  4. The most depressing part about this whole QB business is we're making the exact same mistakes with Josh as we made with EJ. Cut the incumbent starter. Bring in a vet. Backup is an inexperienced project (if that). Vet doesn't make it out of PS. Bad OC/QB coach. Gotta start him cuz he's all we got. sign some other schmucks after PS. It's a dead ringer. And we expect different results? At least when they drafted EJ they drafted Woods the same year so he would have someone to throw to. These geniuses didn't even do that. We could have taken Ridley.
  5. I was told, by Beane, that the plan was to win AND rebuild at the same time. Seemed to be working last year ...
  6. 82 yards > 59 yards But really, is anyone saying "Tyrod would be the remedy for the current Bills ails"? I think we would be better on offense which would take pressure off our defense. Would give us a better chance to win (which is the point) IMHO.
  7. Help me out here please. What point am I trying to make? What does it really say?
  8. As was Tom Landry. If you are really good at one side of the football, how can you not be intimately familiar with the other side?
  9. Patsies** 100 Bills 0
  10. Yet in 5 of the 13 games yesterday (38%), the winning team scored less than 25 points.
  11. In last night's game (Cheaps/Bungles), all 4 starting units had a Bills cast off starting. This is not an uncommon occurrence.
  12. If McDermott were to be fired at the end of the season, he will have out lasted Rex. I think he gets into next year, but if it's not a lot better all bets are off.
  13. Strong, steady, silent type.
  14. It's hard to be an effective OC when you have young guys that don't respect the football.
  15. Yeah, because all backup QBs are the same. Nasty Nate = Nick Foles Really?
  16. I'm also thinking Greg Roman could coax a good run game and middling pass game out of this team. Match that with our monster D and we'd be right in this thing. I'd go with Hackett. Although our offense was bad, it wasn't nearly as bad as this what ever you want to call it.
  17. 1. I grew up in Dallas as a YUGE Cowboys fan during the Tom Landry era. I rooted for them from 1960-1988. Then JJ came along and I didn't like him. but I gave him a chance for a few years. When they played I'd half cheer for them to win and half cheer for them to lose. No way to be a fan. Then I met my current wife who was from up there and a YUGE Bills fan. So i started watching games with her. Since they were good then they were on TV often. I decided, I can cheer for these guys. So I officially switched my fandom to the bills in 1996. 2. It's a family thing. My wife and daughter and I have a lot of fun watching the games and talking about them and making a few trips back there to see games like the Monday Nighter and Bears games coming up. I like how the guys play hard and as a team (most of the time). 3. Since I've only been a fan since 1996 I have no memories of the glory years except Jim's last season in 1996. Still can't believe we lost that playoff game to the Jaguars. Anyway. My favorite memory is probably something to do with Flutie. Or maybe Kyle rubbing the fish's nose in it going in for a TD to seal what we needed to do to get it. The opening day vs the Colts butt whoopin' the year after they went to Deflate Gate AFC Championship game was a lot of fun too. Or when EJ and company beat the defending SB champs Ravens. Lot of good times.
  18. At least he didn't go all Dan Pastorini on him.
  19. Shoulda just kept Hotrod and let Josh ride the pine like Mahomes did. Put Nasty Nate on the PS if you must.
  20. AJ is a smart guy and been around a football fields and seen other QBs enough to know that Nasty Nate sucked and he would get his chance. If traded, he d probably get no chance. Doesn't make sense. Makes more sense to me that rookie GM Beane, thinking he's Ralphie's Dad at the Christmas tree lot, was thinking of all that cool stuff he could do with a 3rd round pick in March and forgot our line sucks and we got 2 QB s injured in PS. This whole off sea son/season has been a series of shots to the foot.
  21. Looks like Derek is getting some chemistry with Clay.
  22. Sign Tyler "Hope and" Bray off the Bears practice squad. He's in shape. He's been practicing. AND we play the Bears in a few weeks. Win. Win.
  23. Good to see he got a McD haircut before showing up. Unless the guys taped him to a goal post and cut his hair
  24. Actually I meant next week when he goes up head to head vs Happy Gilmore again. But TDs this week are good too!
