  1. Hotrod was holding us back. It was because he can't throw the football that far. he had time. it wasn't because guys weren't open, they're not supposed to be. It's kind of the point. he was trying to break Fitz' record of longest run by a QB for a TD. 31 yards. How did he think he was going to score with 4 defenders camped out in the EZ?
  2. After what the Bills are doing, the NFL should just settle and write him a big check and be done with it. If they can't bring him in because some rednecks wouln t like it,THE PROCESS has no balls.
  3. If only one were to be fired I'd go with Beane. McDermott has at least shown he can win with a semi talented team even with a competent QB. Bean e took over a decently talented roster and gutted it to the point even 90 mil blah blah blah won t be enough to fix. Seats are starting to heat up.
  4. i think he took off running because he physically can't throw the football that far.
  5. sucking is like Bill Murray describes dirty laundry in Ghosbusters. "There are many subtle layers."
  6. and can win. You left that part out.
  7. I think McD and B could actually be fired because of this. Last year we made the playoffs. 9 games later and we're even more of a punch line than before. I was at the game today and they were being laughed at and mocked by their own ticket buying fans. Terry has an itchy trigger finger. Oh, and EJ IS right. Peterman?? Barkley??Anderson?? Really??
  8. True, but it's a little different when you trade out of the pick and the team you traded with takes him. OUCH
  9. who woudn't? Both of those teams have good Ds year in and year out btw. What I'm not willing to do is tank and suck in the eternal quest for the golden armed franchise QB which we have and are doing. Losing sucks I watch Bills games on Sunday and it's just so much more fun when we win. Last year was fun because watching other games late in the year meant something. What do we know about being a team like that? How about we just be competitive and make the playoffs first. Build from there.
  10. I don't know about you, but I would be tickled pink if the Bills were to put together a nice 3 year playoff run winning multiple playoff games.
  11. Even though technically not fired, Doug Marrone. Pete Carroll a couple of times. Bruce Arians Mike Mulrkey won a playoff game last year George Allen Gene Stallings although he won his Championship in college football Marv Levy Dan Reeves fired by Denver and got Atlanta to SB Chuck Knox got Seahawks to AFC Championship game after leaving Buffalo Tony Dungee John Gruden
  12. Blake Bottles was in the ARC Championship game last year and his team beat Big Ben's team to get there. Not saying you don't need a qb, but you can still be successful (i call making afc championship a successful season) with an average one on a good team if you play your cards right. That said, hopefully Wonder Boy rewrites the record book and wins multiple Lombardis FOR US.
  13. We made the playoffs last year and came within a TD from advancing and would have probably the year before if Rex could coach D. Pair this D with Rex's #1 rushing offense teams (which was top 1/3 in league in scoring btw) and we'd be contenders. I'm not saying run a 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense. But we don't have to tank and cry woe is us if we don't have a QB like Drew Brees on our team either. Jaguars didn't have a high powered offense last year and they made it to AFC championship game. Titans didn't either and they won a playoff game. (before you ask, after what we've been through the last 20 years, yes, I would be very satisfied with that). Final 4 QB last year were Foles, Tommy, Case, and Blake freakin' Bortles. All four had top 5 Ds.
  14. We could still make the playoffs and even win the division even if we went 0-2 against them. I'm not that concerned with building my team to beat them because they cheat and the refs help them. And I'm100% serious about that. That, and I know I think this every year, but their stranglehold on the division won t last much longer. I of course want to win the division but for just want us to concentrate on getting back to playoffs as WC.
  15. I find it disturbing. Whatever happened to the concept of the melting pot or the dream of all men living together as brothers? Feels like we are going backwards to me. This whole white privilege rhetoric is counter productive and will serve to create MORE animosity as we are seeing. Children are listening. Minority children will feel they have no chance because they don't have "privilege". I actually heard a minority child say this a few yeArs ago. That said, there is still racism in AmericA. But instead of trying to even the past score we should try to just treat everyone the same regardless of color. Easier said than done.. It's what I try to do in my every day life.
  16. I don't know your friend's race, but I read an interesting editorial by David Brooks in the Buffalo paper Saturday that may help explain it. One thing he said i totally believe. He did not provide where he got it from however. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/11/01/opinion/2018-midterms-realignment-partisanship.html
  17. The decision making this off season is disturbing. It's also the first full off season with Beane at the controls. I hope it was a fluke and not bidness as usual for him.
  18. In baseball, you just want to go.home.
  19. Do they make their plan and stick with it no matter what? Those guys were gone pre FA. Sometimes one had to change plans when situations change. If not, you and your plan will go down with the ship. Like we are watching this year. Odds are probably 90%+ something unexpected happens this off season too. Sorry, but it's a lame excuse IMHO.
  20. When the Bills came up at number 10 in 2017 I yelled at my TV "TAKE WATSON" so there is no armchairing going on here for me. You're right though. We will see ...
  21. The Tredavian Nightmare is one of my favorite Bills, but I would trade him heads up for Watson or Mahomes in 1/2 of a New York heartbeat.
  22. Like the Seahawks in 2012? Or Washington in 2012? Or the Falcons in 2008? Amen. Why put all your eggs in one basket? I'd also try to sign a competent FA QB.
  23. In today's free agency era, I'm not even sure this is possible. Rookies are on 4 year contracts. In 2 years those contracts are going to start to expire. How much do you think it will take to re up the Tredavian Nightmare? And then it Wonder Boy works out, the year after that. Hello cap hell or let them go and hope we can draft someone as good while hopefully drafting in the 20s. Other players contracts expire as well like Jerry and Shady and they will have to replaced as well. Or re upped at high cost. This is essentially what is happening to Seattle. They had a great 4 year run but with the cash they have to pay Russell now they can't afford to keep guys like Sherman. They haven't been able to draft replacements drafting in the 20s. After pages and pages only 1 free agency era team has been able to make it work. maybe Atlanta.and their coach didn't survive. Others have tried and failed miserably like Cleveland and Jacksonville. Jacksonville didn't really get better til they abandoned the rebuild philosophy and hired CoAch Moron and made some trades and FA signings.
  24. I'm confused, are you saying we are not tanking and are in fact trying to win this year? i don't know what's worse, tanking, or actually trying to win and being this inept on offense.
