  1. I'll believe they can draft and sign good offensive players, when they, you know, actually do. So far they are 0 for 2. KB, Zay, Tolbert, DiMarco, Wonder Boy... Passed on Mahomes, Watson, Ridley ... Impressive track record thus far
  2. This line reminds me of the BS line my Mom used to feed me that if I was a good boy Santa would bring me more toys.
  3. i don't know about you, but based on what we've had for the last 19 years, back to back conference championships and getting within a few yards of a SB win sounds pretty sweet. I would just hope our coach doesn't quit and bolt for college football. That's what destroyed that team IMHO.
  4. OK. I'll just look at the guy that went to back to back NFC Championships and was a few yards short of winning the SB.
  5. Thanks for the link. I did read it. However it nowhere mentioned losing. It was mostly conjecture by the author. There is only 1 quote from Beane in there which does not mention losing or getting worse to get better.
  6. I edited my post to address that while you were posting. I explain it there.
  7. That's your opinion. You have yours, I have mine. The decision to start Gabbert over Colin was based on contract, not talent. Once they got that straightened out, he started. In his final season in 11 starts he passed for 2241 yards and ran for 468 yards. He threw 16 TDs and 4 picks with a 90.8 rating. You're right, that sucks. We have guys that can do better right now. Right? We signed Barkley and Anderson who are turn over machines and also haven't played in a couple of years. How does that make any sense if you're trying to win? Evidently we are not which is sad.
  8. That's what they're saying now because they totally mis evaluated the QB talent on hand and have had to start schmucks. Surely that was not the plan. Now they're making excuses. When did the Saints "rebuild"? When did the Packers "rebuild"? When did the Steelers "rebuild"? This better work or they will be out on their bun shortly. They have pissed away any extra runway they may have earned last year by making the playoffs year 1.
  9. I think it's sad that some Bills fans have gone from playoff euphoria last year to not just accepting losing, but embracing it this season. Seems odd to me. Certainly not the way I was football raised. Being the starting QB on a SB team will have marketers crawling out of the woodwork to sign you to an endorsement contract. He's also really good at football.
  10. The usual result of a tank is getting fired. Bill Parcells said "The coach that is rebuilding is rebuilding for the next coach that comes in." Certainly was the case for Gus Bradley and Jim Caldwell. If these guys don't turn it around quickly they will face the same fate IMHO.
  11. Who said that? Beane and McDermott told us the plan was to rebuild and win at the same time. Seemed to be working last year.
  12. The D was massively improved pre tank. We didn't have to tank to rebuild the entire secondary and make it into a crack unit. I'm really not so sure our D is any better than last year. How is a "top 5" unit exactly? By what measure? NFL.com lists them at #6. However, in points give up which I believe is the true measure of a D, they are 21.
  13. Can't speak to Chuck Noll. Although the Cowboy one is often cited I'm not so sure. I lived in Dallas and was a HUGE Cowboy fan during the entire Tom Landry era and continued to follow and root for them somewhat a few years after that. In 1988, the Cowboys were 3-13 under Tom Landry. It was a bad team. But do you really think HOF Coach Tom Landry was tanking that year for draft picks? Really? They also already had Michael Irvin and some of the OLine (Mark Tuinei and The Kitchen) and some D players they made the run with. The JJs fell into the #1 pick. And it was fortunately in a year with a really good college QB coming out. Results may have been different if it was a class like say 2014, It was most definitely not a lose on purpose to tank and dump talent for them. they didn't have that much talent to dump and several of the veterans like Danny White and Randy White retired.
  14. Thanks. I kindof figured if he were asked he would make some long convoluted answer full of cliches sounding like a Management Consultant and mention "THE PROCESS" 3 or 4 times.
  15. Cal!ing BS on this one. I want Colin on the team and Don t give flying rats you know what about the political aspect. I wanted us to draft him. I just wanna win.
  16. I thought that was Trump sitting to her right.
  17. When? What was Coach 's answer?
  18. Of course he wanted to start. Do we really want guys on the team that DON'T want to start?
  19. If he's on the field, I'm rooting for him with all i got.
  20. You know I read this sentiment here frequently. We couldn't go to SB with Hotrod. Perhaps. But really, what do we know about Super Bowls? It's been 20 some odd years. How about we just try to be competitive for a few years first? Get in the PLAYOFFS and then improve from there.
  21. First rap song ever.
  22. Good. Now they'll just have to sell more personal data to raise money to pay the tax.
  23. you get -1 points in football for a pick 6?
  24. How does one score -1 points in football? I'm happy with winning. But that's just me.
