  1. Sorry man, just don't buy this whole salary cap/rebuild nonsense. It was self inflicted. We didn't have to waste a season. It's been documented on here many times. And it looks like 9-7 or maybe 8-8 will get you into playoffs this year too. Hopefully you are right and next year we won't have to worry about this sucking non talent team nonsense anymore because all this cap room/draft picks blah blah blah will fix everything.
  2. The thing I remember most from that game was Matt Cassell's 70+ yard punt.
  3. You're welcome. It's what I've been seeing for the past 30 games under Coach McDermott. Thinking he's going to all of the sudden switch to the overly aggressive wide open offensive coach seems odd to me. He is who he we thought he was. Camping out on the 25 and settling for that last FG reminded me of Dick vs the Clowns at the Ralph which was followed by a Ryan Lindell miss (and a loss).
  4. I kindof thought the Jacksonville game in January was a big game.
  5. In other words, bend but don't break. Like Dick and Perry ran.
  6. THE PROCESS is very similar to Dick Ball. I don't expect that to change.
  7. We were able to do it last year. Bucs, Raiders, last fish game, and others. What happened? Now we're back to finding new ways to lose. I thought Coach McDermott got us past that which is why we made the playoffs last year. I also think it's because they (McDermott and Beane) are not really trying to win this year.
  8. If he were above average he could have made it this year too. An above average coach at least has the sense to not go into the season with Nasty Nate as starter with only a rookie to back him up. It probably cost us at least 3 games.
  9. This IS THE PROCESS. Get up by a TD or so in the second half and sit on the football and let the D win it. Maybe pick up a FG or two if you can, but don't get too crazy. We saw it last year and we saw it yesterday. I don't expect to see it change. it is what it is.
  10. Does anyone remember Ballot Box 13? As far as gerrymandering goes and what's happening now, this is a great read on how it is presently working. And, it's all legal. (The actual book, not the revue). https://www.kirkusreviews.com/book-reviews/david-daley/ratfked/
  11. I like the ones that refer Justice Thomas as a "historical figure".
  12. Actually I'm hoping for a Potatoe
  13. One thing is for certain. This wide open field in front of him will go away. Teams will watch "film" and game plan for it and figure out how to stop it. The strategy will be, make him be a QB. Then we'll see if he can adapt.
  14. I voted for number 1 but I'm not sure if he's my QB or not, yet. He makes some good plays but unfortunately he is inconsistent and the fabled inaccuracy has been evident. With all the running and all, it is fun to watch, sort of. He looks like the kind of QBs we've gotten before that are gunslingers (Fitz) or good runners (Hotrod). They are fun at first, but when we don't win after a short while they don't seem so much fun anymore. While he ran for 100+ the last 2 weeks we were 0-2 and averaged 20 points per game. Yet in the last drive of the game with the game on the line he came up short. Not good enough. True his supporting cast is not great, but I saw him have time yesterday and after a few seconds in the pocket, take off running. While his WRs have dropped some passes, he has also horribly under thrown and over throw wide open WRs. Opportunities have been there that went unrealized. I would rather see him trying to throw from the pocket more than do all this improv running around stuff that while exciting, you will never win that way. Russell Wilson can get away with it but he is a much more accurate passer.
  15. Psychoanalyze it however you want. I don't like negative racial stereotyping of anyone.
  16. At this point I'm just hoping they can come with someone I can vote for. Too early to say.
  17. ok cool. I had no idea who it was directed at. FYI - if responding to a specific post or comment it's good practice IMHO to quote what you are responding to so we all know. We're not mind readers. i did look at the original post again and I guess you were worked up over the word "thug". I had forgotten it was a racial slur. It's hard to keep up these days. And, are you sure the OP is an "old white man"? it's kind of racist/sexist/ageist to assume so if you don't know.
  18. My response is the same as to the Packers rumor in another thread. Sounds like a great idea. I hope they do it.
  19. I watch with a die hard fan who has discovered the wonders of social media since becoming a die hard fan and she now has to operate during games and keep me updated on latest Trump blunders and funny memes about it. And what people I don't even know are doing. Has changed football forever. Sad.
  20. Old black men are OK with these chages? Are you sure? How do you know? Have you asked them? How does race play into this at all? Please explain. And people wonder why racism is getting worse. Everything is about race even when it's not. Unless you can convince me otherwise.
  21. I think it's a great idea. I hope the Packers do it. It was the.Defense (or lack thereof).
  22. Kupp didn't need 3 years. Heck, he didn't even need 3 games.
  23. I got some. We could and should have (IMHO) RE SIGNED Jordyn Matthews. Even though not great he would be one of our top guys now. He seems to be able to contribute in Philly. stop letting our good guys get away. Am I the only one tired of watching our cast off WRs play and contribute on high powered offences? Thinking Sammy first in LA and now KC, Woods in LA, MAtthews in Philly, and Hogan in NE. What do the Bills coaches/GMs know bad about these guys that Andy Reed, Doug Pederson, Bill Bellyache, and the Rams coaches NOT know? draft better. We could have had Cupp over Zay without trading up. Could have taken Ridley in first. I like Edmunds, but our D was already pretty good and we drafted a QB at 7.
