Question about the plays where Allen runs for big gains
reddogblitz replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One thing is for certain. This wide open field in front of him will go away. Teams will watch "film" and game plan for it and figure out how to stop it. The strategy will be, make him be a QB. Then we'll see if he can adapt. -
I voted for number 1 but I'm not sure if he's my QB or not, yet. He makes some good plays but unfortunately he is inconsistent and the fabled inaccuracy has been evident. With all the running and all, it is fun to watch, sort of. He looks like the kind of QBs we've gotten before that are gunslingers (Fitz) or good runners (Hotrod). They are fun at first, but when we don't win after a short while they don't seem so much fun anymore. While he ran for 100+ the last 2 weeks we were 0-2 and averaged 20 points per game. Yet in the last drive of the game with the game on the line he came up short. Not good enough. True his supporting cast is not great, but I saw him have time yesterday and after a few seconds in the pocket, take off running. While his WRs have dropped some passes, he has also horribly under thrown and over throw wide open WRs. Opportunities have been there that went unrealized. I would rather see him trying to throw from the pocket more than do all this improv running around stuff that while exciting, you will never win that way. Russell Wilson can get away with it but he is a much more accurate passer.

The NFL has killed the Golden Goose - ITSELF!

Psychoanalyze it however you want. I don't like negative racial stereotyping of anyone. -

At this point I'm just hoping they can come with someone I can vote for. Too early to say. -

ok cool. I had no idea who it was directed at. FYI - if responding to a specific post or comment it's good practice IMHO to quote what you are responding to so we all know. We're not mind readers. i did look at the original post again and I guess you were worked up over the word "thug". I had forgotten it was a racial slur. It's hard to keep up these days. And, are you sure the OP is an "old white man"? it's kind of racist/sexist/ageist to assume so if you don't know. -
Gonna do it, flying solo...

I watch with a die hard fan who has discovered the wonders of social media since becoming a die hard fan and she now has to operate during games and keep me updated on latest Trump blunders and funny memes about it. And what people I don't even know are doing. Has changed football forever. Sad. -

Old black men are OK with these chages? Are you sure? How do you know? Have you asked them? How does race play into this at all? Please explain. And people wonder why racism is getting worse. Everything is about race even when it's not. Unless you can convince me otherwise. -
Is Brian Daboll a HC candidate in Green Bay?
reddogblitz replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it's a great idea. I hope the Packers do it. It was the.Defense (or lack thereof). -
Kupp didn't need 3 years. Heck, he didn't even need 3 games.

I got some. We could and should have (IMHO) RE SIGNED Jordyn Matthews. Even though not great he would be one of our top guys now. He seems to be able to contribute in Philly. stop letting our good guys get away. Am I the only one tired of watching our cast off WRs play and contribute on high powered offences? Thinking Sammy first in LA and now KC, Woods in LA, MAtthews in Philly, and Hogan in NE. What do the Bills coaches/GMs know bad about these guys that Andy Reed, Doug Pederson, Bill Bellyache, and the Rams coaches NOT know? draft better. We could have had Cupp over Zay without trading up. Could have taken Ridley in first. I like Edmunds, but our D was already pretty good and we drafted a QB at 7.

Romeny would be the perfect guy to do this. Too bad he just won a Senate seat. Would be nice for some real Republican to run as 3rd party that would take votes away from Trump. After Romney I'm not sure who. Maybe Paul Ryan? -
The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency
reddogblitz replied to Nanker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
this is the first I've heard of Trump trying to undo everything HW did. Who knew? all of these pundits talking about so and so talked to so and so and so and so has Russian connections so it's got to be collusion reminds me of watching Glenn Beck years back making a bunch of sketchy "connections" to prove Barack was doing Bi!l Ayers' bidding. -

In order to promote more offense and scoring, just dump the KO and after a score, the opposing team gets the football on their own 40. Why not just do this instead of the charade of a KO with the end result being a touch back most of the time? -

Are they ceding the 2020 to Trump? This is his best chance. If a D wins in 2020 he won't be able to run in 2024 and would a fool to run in 2028 if the D wins a second term. So then it's 2032 when he'll be 60 with a long track record and more baggage. If he's gonna run, now is the time IMHO. -
A vast majority of the fellow veterans (like Gug) I know have no problem with it. I view it as veterans served their country to protect our FREEDOM. So honor a veteran by using your freedom even if it is not popular. Whoever said standing for the anthem was to honor veterans? It is to honor America. All of it.
