Wild Card Sunday: More FA targets to watch
reddogblitz replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Golden is my #1 FA WR target. Great hands. League leading RAC. A true baller of the highest order. With at least 1 SB win would be a great influence and example for the rest of our WRs. Would look great in a Bills suit. Please. Pretty please. -
As could have Hotrod one year ago today from the 1, but I digress. So we are in agreement. It's not all offense
-
Except there was :26 left and Seattle had one timeout and it was 2nd down (they gave it to the Beast on 1st down). How ya gonna run it 4 times? https://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2015020100/2014/POST22/patriots@seahawks i would argue that Russell also "brung ya". No argument that Atlanta blew it. D could have helped but didnt. Tommy's D helped him and they won. No doubt rules are slanted to O. I just disagree that it's ALL offense which is what I initially responded to. The final 4 teams in 2017 all were in the top 5 in fewest points per game given up. We'll see what happens this year. Of the 8 teams left, all are in top 14 in fewest points given up except Rams and Cheaps. NE at 7 btw. Am looking forward to seeing what Rams do vs Cowboys D (#6). Cowboys D did a number on the Saints O a few weeks ago. Likewise Cheaps vs Indy D (#10).

thanks for responding. You make some good points. However Seattle did not give the football to the Beast because he was like 1 for 6 on the season on 3rd and 4th and 1. AND, Russell Wilson IS one of their best guys too. Wether they should have or not is irrelevant because they didnt. Butter made a great DEFENSIVE play to seal the win. Butter said he knew it was a pass because RW came out of the huddle and looked over and signaled something to WR. Wouldn't do that on a run so he did what he did. Had Bill Bellyache followed your strategy and just put some guy out there because all that matters is offense he d have one less Lombardi today and Pete one more. And as far as Atlanta goes, regardless of it Brian had run of not, if they could have gotten one stop, they win. Again, why does it have to be one of the other? Best TEAM wins. In 2017, the Eagles had the 4th best defense in both yards per game and fewest points per game btw. NE was 5th in fewest points per game given up. But they do it all with offense, right?

WR Duke Williams of CFL’s Eskimos Signs with Bills
reddogblitz replied to LEBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like it. But if he uses the football as a prop its gonna be a problem. Last time we had a Grey Cup champ on the team we made the playoffs 2:years in a row :). -
IIRC the Patsies** won the SB a few years ago due to a defensive play. Patsies** would have one less Lombardi if Atlanta could have played any D in the second half. Why does it have to be one of the other? My theory is you gotta be great on one side and above average on the other.

Buffalo's reputation amongst free agents
reddogblitz replied to clayboy54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
you think we should make the other team comfortable? F@&% 'em if they don't like it. i think we should do like Hayden Fry and paint their locker room pink. It's a calming color. -
I am on record while eating an Earl Campbell sausage with my brother in the Jerry Dome parking lot pre-drsft saying "My night mare scenario is we trade up and take Josh Allen" which we indeed did. Now I'm thinking he might be the guy. All the running and stuff is fun, but you ain't gonna win a heck of a lot of games that way. Still worried about his passing ability. Sure he can throw it a country mile, but we don't necessarily know where it's gonna come down. I think he is a gamer and has good leadership which is HUGE. We could play a similar style to Seattle with the scramble drill plays etc and he can make some big plays. Still concerned if he is a good enough passer to make it work. He's got a lot of work to do. So yes,it's changed.

Mitt Romney 2020?

Running as an independent would give him his best chance to do Trump in. -
Is the Pro Bowl worth going to?
reddogblitz replied to BattlinBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am. I have been to one, but it was a looooooooooooooooong time ago. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1973_Pro_Bowl Sold programs before the game and watched the game with a few brothers and my Grandfather. Good memory. Man it was cold that day. Danged ole Chuck Noll had Tom's number. The Juicer was MVP! Go for it I say. It's not a real game and means nothing but so what? Good Father/Son bonding opportunity. -
The Trump Shutdown

What exactly on his record indicates he "probably meant it"? Not trying to defend him, just curious. -
This is one of the main reasons I voted for Barack the first time and not the second time. I don't like Trump, but I will say he has gone after and even accomplished more campaign promises (whether you like them or not) than any other president I can remember.

If you want to know how it's done, read this book. https://www.kirkusreviews.com/book-reviews/david-daley/ratfked/ i got it for my birthday a few years ago. trigger warning - if you still think you have a voice, your representatives represent you, there is such a thing as privacy, and your vote counts, don't read it.

The economy has been humming along for the last 2 years. I just hope Trump and the HoR don't blow it with a long shutdown. So far, 800,000 government people aren't getting paid. Then you have the suppliers like food suppliers at national parks and IT consultants and office supply vendors and the companies that supply them and on and on. i was on an IT project that got shut down last time. A lot More people are not getting paid or paid less than just government workers. Trickle down in action. This could result in weakened consumer confidence which is the driver of a bad economy. Bill Maher might like it, but a lot of us won't

Does anyone else remember when transgender Dr. Renee Richards played on the professional women's tennis tournaments (WTA) in the 1970s? I saw her play once at the Virginia Slims Maureen Conally Brinker tournament in Dallas. -

I didn't know Nazis sported shaved heads. I thought the parted their hair in the middle and had funny mustaches. Somehow I think Art Del Cueto and Hector Garza would not appreciate being called "Nazi looking creeps". Diversity makes us stronger, unless Trump does it that is. -

I'm not so sure. China built a wall around their country and to this day no Mexican has climbed over it. -
Mitt Romney 2020?
reddogblitz replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I'd just like to see some R with some cred like say Mitt or Paul Ryan run as an independent to do a civic duty to make sure Donald does not win by siphoning off enough voters. Then if an independent won, all the better. Although it would probably just encourage Rs and Ds to work together against the Independent prez. Donald has showed us that Ds and Rs will work together to make sure some outsider doesn't get in. Or if one does, there will be hell to pay and maybe jail time if they get their way. Should Oprah or Snoop Dogg or some other outsider run and win, look the F*** out. -
Mitt Romney 2020?

As did I. He had the best bumper sticker. "Better than those other 2 fools." How about Mitt?
