How long to close the competitive gap?
reddogblitz replied to Ga boy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
if we draft a CB at #9 I'm going to throw a brick through my TV. i would argue that as long as we have Clay we are in DIRE NEED of a TE. we lost a game because he flubbed a catch in the EZ this year and last year, 1/2 of Hotrod's picks bounced off of Clay's hands. One in the EZ. ENOUGH ALREADY. -

As i recall, our defense was historically bad under Chan Gailey/Dave Wannstedt. Within a few years of signing Mario, we were the 4th best Defense in the NFL giving up 18.1 per game. Then Rex arrived and mesed everything up. I think Mario contributed his fair share in making that happen. That DLine with Mario, Kyle, Jerry, and Mr. Big Stuff was STOUT. They could even make Rodgers look silly -

If we're talking Bills in general (like I am) there's Jason Peters. -

Yet somehow the coaches that can get their teams to the playoffs seem to think they're good enough to have on their team(s). Sammy also had a bunch of nice catches. 6 catches for 62 yards on 8 targets in a playoff game ain't too shabby. 10 less yards than Tyreek Hill on 5 less targets. -

My bottom line is still in the hunt going into week 17. Anything less and seats get extremely hot if in fact they have seats left at all. -

If I had the Morgan Freeman "He's right you know" meme I'd post it here. -

Did you forget 2016 R candidates Carly Fiorina, Ben Carson, and Ted Cruz? -
You have to have stallions to win i the NFL. the teams playing this weekend have them. We don't. You can't do it with high motor lunch pale process believers. I would suspect we at least try very hard to get a few top notch FAs at WR, OL, and TE. I hope we don't trade down. The lower you go the longer the odds on landing said stallions. I'm hoping for a great off season. Beane needs to produce.

I see your point. When I think of the nanny-state I think of the government telling you can't do something and punishing you for it if you do because they say its bad for you. They removed locking you up for it. May be over regulated. But I see it as an improvement. No different than alcohol ? really. It's taxed. When you go to the store it's labeled as to alcohol ? by content and you can count on if it says it is 40 oz it is 40 oz. You're not gonna walk out with 40 proof wood alcohol. You'll see when it becomes legal in NY.

maybe it's just me, it seems that not locking people for doing something they're gonna do anyway and hurts no-one else is pretty liberating. I've been thinking about it, but am having a hard time thinking is any product that is not overly regulated. Food? Ladders? Baby pajamas? Automobiles? Beer? (Ever heard of the ATF?) Wood? Furnitue? Smart phones? Paint? Would you be okay making the alcohol industry illegal because of too much regulation? We tried that once.

just irritates me. All racism all the time Trump's a racist all the time was a big time loser in 2016. Seems they are doubling down on it. If they can't figure out a way to beat him this time they should disband. -

Bernie very well could have beat Trump IMHO. Had he run 3rd party after getting screwed by the Ds, he very well could have beat both Hillary AND Donald. -

I won't discount the possibility that she mis-spoke. -

I wasn't going by the tweet. I watched the video and transcribed what she said. "his (Trump) ultimate goal is to make America (air quotes) pure in the sense of not having immigrants, not having folks of color here " That's what she said and I didn't quote her out of context. I include the whole thing. Not having people of color here. This is to help make America "pure". What do you take that to mean? -

I don't know man, I heard her say "his (Trump) ultimate goal is to make America (air quotes) pure in the sense of not having immigrants, not having folks of color here, shutting down every form a legal immigration." What am I missing?
