  1. Well I'm fairly positive LaCalifornia gets his scoops from Brandon, so there it is. Pegula's want McDermott, Whaley wants Lynn or Richard.
  2. He had head coaching interviews last year. San Fran brought him back in this year. I don't think race has anything to do with it.
  3. The hottest of hot takes.
  4. I'd bet money if they waited on Patricia, he would turn them down just like McDaniels did two years ago. Why would you leave New England for the muddied power structure in Buffalo AND have to face your mentor twice a year?
  5. His offensive line is also...not good, facing a DL with future pros at the starting and rotational spots.
  6. I've seen a couple of pro comps for Watson of....Tyrod Taylor. That being said I'd rather have a 21 year old Tyrod with the possibility of growth and progression than a 27 year old Tyrod who has maxed out
  7. If winners win and losers lose, then please explain the following: Mike Tomlin went to Pittsburgh after 5 years with Tampa Bay and one with Minnesota. Bill Belichick coached the BROWNS before the Patriots. Pete Carroll was a mediocre head coach in the NFL before going back to USC. Gus Bradley came from the "winning" Seahawks team and won 14 games in 4 years in Jacksonville. Your argument is fundamentally flawed. Coaches either have it or they don't, it has NOTHING to do with who they worked with prior to their promotion to head coach
  8. This definitely reads as there's a disagreement between who Whaley wants to hire and who the Pegulas found most impressive. Either let him make the choice and trust him or fire him.
  9. That's probably a perfect summary of Gilmore. He has his warts, but you're going to have a damn hard time replacing him and not calling it an immediate downgrade. But some fans just can't see past the warts, and they'll be the first ones to move on to Darby or whoever lines up in Gilmore's place as their new whipping boy.
  10. Another turd. Sully if you're reading this please retire and stop wasting my money.
  11. Round 1: Hooker, Mike Williams Round 2: Desmond King, JuJu Smith-Schuster
  12. Since day one, a ton of posters on this board have found and and every reason to dislike Gilmore. His reaction to being drafted, injuries, tackling, "heart," allowing one catch, whatever. You're all going to be very disappointed next year when he's gone and Ronald Darby is getting absolutely roasted by opposing #1s
  13. 75,000 people in the stadium and my seat neighbors end up in the article. Small world
  14. Considering he's playing the nose in Rex's scheme I'd assume Trapasso is saying that Coleman has done well as a space eater/block occupier
  15. I'm willing to give him a chance. Just because he worked for Rex Ryan doesn't make him a "Rex guy." If you had a crappy boss but knew you could ride his coattails to get yourself closer to the top, wouldn't you? Lynn already showed in the later games of the season that "his" offense is a little different than Roman's inherited offense. He's definitely taken some concepts from the Shanahan offense, for example one play they ran last week was a fake FB dive with a quick pitch to McCoy. That came straight from Mike Shanahan
  16. Sign me up. Any thoughts I had on Lynn as HC were directly tied to who the coordinators were. Bring in another Nate Hackett type and I'm off this ride. Bring in some respected coordinators and I'll give it a chance. Gus Bradley as DC would meet the criteria.
  17. The talent for a 4-3 is there. Lawson/Hughes at end, Dareus/KW at DT. Ragland can play MLB, Preston Brown at Sam. The question is if they can retain Zach Brown to play the Will/coverage role.
  18. Man they really blew that one.
  19. They would save about $3 million by cutting him but still have to pay a little over $4 million in dead cap. I think its more likely they restructure/extend than cut him. Groy will likely spend one more season as the interior swing man. I think he's done well since the Wood injury. In 2018, he can have the chance to unseat Wood or replace Incognito. Let's not forget Richie is closing in on 35 years old and if the Bills cut him after 2017, they save over $6 million ($7.575 cap hit vs $1.15 dead money)
  20. Your team was screwed 15 weeks ago if you had Doug Martin
  21. Carolina would make a ton of sense for Gilmore if the Bills let him walk and they can make it work under the cap. Very close to home for him.
  22. Agreed 100% and I'm one of his biggest (only?) fans here. He's a bad tackler but a very good press man corner
  23. Not too big on Jim Haley, I like Todd Bob Cooter myself.
  24. Enough with the Schwartz love. He was already the head coach of a Lions team with great talent on the defensive side of the ball. His teams were plagued by a lack of discipline and poor game management. Those are the same issues as Rex Ryan, except with a 4-3 base defense instead.
  25. I don't think they're great but I think outside of Wilson and Graham they're a little limited in talent as well. That OL is bottom of the barrel. The WRs all have their niche but they're not stars or gamebreakers. Rawls is a decent back but again not a game changer. I think the biggest appeal to me with Bevell is the possibility of Bradley as DC, and you hope he hires an OC and lets the OC do their thing. I want a head coach who delegates to his coordinators and spends game day focusing on game management.
