  1. That's a good way to create a holdout
  2. That makes me feel better. Pro Football Reference only shows makes and misses, not blocked. I just saw that he also had 2 blocked in 2015, so in total he has "missed" 10 extra points - 7 blocks and 3 misses. Bad math, it was early
  3. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the case either. Vet minimum deal, good locker room guy, basically McDermott throwing him a chance to stick, and if not no big deal it's just a vet minimum deal.
  4. He has missed 10 extra points since the new rule, more than Carpenter, in less attempts. I don't follow that logic. He is, or has been, a very accurate FG guy though, and can kick off so there's that.
  5. Also suspended 10 games for another(!!) failed drug test in November. Not sure how many games he has left to serve.
  6. Too bad the cap exists and is prohibitive for trading players with guaranteed money remaining
  7. I will say this: if Dennison is installing the Kubiak/Shanahan zone run offense, Gillislee's strengths fit that scheme really, really well.
  8. $32.7 million in dead money. Stop. If they cut him in 2018, their net savings are...wait for it...$25,000. It is not in any way financially feasible to get rid of Dareus until at least after the 2018 season. And even then, it's a dead cap hit of $7.8 million with a savings of about $10.1 million.
  9. You're kidding in regards to Carpenter's replacement cost right? He has the #8 cap hit for 2017 for kickers in the league. They could bring in a young guy at a paltry salary. There's a lot of young kickers out there that aren't bad at all that would still net nearly $2 million in savings. Examples: Boswell, McManus, Hopkins, Santos, Lambo and Catanzaro all have cap hits between $510k and $615k. Paying Carpenter's dead cap hit of $537k and a young guy at $600k or so and you've still saved $1.75-$1.8 million from Carpenter's scheduled $2.9375 million.
  10. Carpenter and Graham would be another $6.175 million. Nearly 13 million to cut those three. Enough to pay Gilmore or cover picking up the option on Taylor.
  11. I don't think I mentioned special teams. Sometimes it's just nice to have a cheap backup with experience in the league who can play in case of an injury. P. Brown could fill in (maybe not excel, but fill in) at any of the LB spots in the case of an in-game injury, at the low price of $900k for one year. Unless someone comes knocking with a 4th round pick or higher, you keep the value.
  12. For one year at 900k or so his value would be serving as cheap, reliable depth at a position where the team has none
  13. No need to trade Preston Brown, he's on a dirt cheap rookie contract with one year remaining.
  14. $200 for the season if you add it to your bill or $30 per game for those of you who don't have seasons or don't read your mail
  15. Thank you. It should be required to pull up the player's contract on Spotrac before posting a thread
  16. Completely disagree, Tate was the best returner this team has had in years. McKelvin had his moments but you also had to worry about him fumbling. Every. Single. Time.
  17. I was in first grade and now I'm married with a 2 year old so there's been some changes
  18. My thought process is that I think I'm somewhere in the mid 40,000s on the list. I bought mine right after the 2014 season before Rex was hired and there was a big push to 60k. Anyone that gives them up moves me up the list when the new stadium comes. I want to be as high as possible when that time comes.
  19. Absolutely. If anyone's on the fence, please go ahead and cancel, I'll gladly move up the list
  20. Two seats, two seasons as a STH, only a little over $1000 per season. Barely went to any games between 2011 & 2015...definitely not over $5000. That makes me feel much better
  21. Releasing McCoy would save exactly $1 million on the cap. His 2017 hit is $8.875 million, but it would be a $7.875 dead cap hit to cut him. You lost me right there. Most realistically, McCoy has one, or more likely two years left here, depending on the dead money hit they want to take ($5.25 million after next season, $2.625 after the 2018 season)
  22. So strange that ATL moved him to WR coach considering he's been a DB coach most of his career
  23. Major Dad! I knew I recognized Tusk from somewhere but I couldn't pinpoint it
