Clay inactive for game due to birth of child (updated)

Just read this entire thread. I need to step outside to cool off from #BADOL's series of flaming hot sports takes. Giving old Skip Bayless a run for his money. Just read this entire thread. Rapoport: Expect off-season trade talks around Brandin Cooks
JM57 replied to JM57's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's not a free agent though so he wouldn't have a choice. Not that I would necessarily support the move -
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000750224/article/saints-brandin-cooks-could-be-at-center-of-offseason-trade-talks I know this board LOVES to talk about the lack of WR depth so here's something to chew on. With the pending free agency of...basically all the WR on the roster this could be an avenue to restock the cupboard

What if Darby doesn't drop an easy pick 6 week one? Then they're 7-4.

The only thing I can think of is that the simulator has the AFCN going to Pittsburgh and that if Buffalo is 10-6 with Baltimore also at 10-6 that's bad for Buffalo? I'm really not following it. Logic would say that you want to beat the team you're competing directly with for a wild card spot (Pittsburgh) more than the team playing for the #1 spot (Oakland) if you HAD to choose one game to lose

Current Bills make the playoffs pipe dream scenario: 1) Bills lose to Oakland, beat Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Miami and the Jets (10-6) 2) Broncos lose to the Patriots and Chiefs (10-6) 3) Dolphins lose to the Ravens or Cardinals (LOL!!) Bills and in week 17, the Patriots have to play Brady to get home field from the Raiders and win (9-7) 4) Steelers lose to Bills and Giants or Ravens (9-7)

Once per drive, give or take

Denver, and you want them to sweep the series to be honest. You want to get all the teams the Bills are contending with (Miami, Denver or KC, Pittsburgh or Baltimore and Indy or Houston) to 7 losses to get the Bills in at 10-6.

They waived him from IR, no injury settlement. Can't re-sign him this season.

Sammy Watkins has a chance to come back and be a hero

Hey its me EJ Manuel -
Any chance the Raider game gets flexed to Sunday night?
JM57 replied to dwight in philly's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Big negative. First, it's too late, they would have had to announce it earlier this week. Second, although the Panthers aren't good, Cam Newton and Russell Wilson are the faces of the new guard of QBs. They're not getting those guys out of primetime. Week 14 is Dallas/NYG, also not getting flexed. Week 15 is PIT/CIN, which is a flex candidate except CBS will almost certainly protect NE/DEN and the rest of the games stink -
Pittsburgh at Heinz Field is frightening. Pittsburgh anywhere else...not so much. It's been the better part of 3 seasons now, the sample size is now too large to ignore. Roethlisberger is a very different QB on the road. Just look at this year alone. Ben Roethlisberger 2016 home/road splits: Att/gm 39.3 / 39.2 Yds/gm 336.8 / 235.4 Comp %: 71.3 / 59.2 TD/INT 15/2 / 5/5 Rating 123.8 / 74.3 Ben Roethlisberger Home/Road Split since 2014: Home: 52 TD, 13 INT, 5,948 Yards Away: 19 TD, 19 INT, 5,034 Yards That game will come down to controlling the ball and containing Bell

There's nothing funny about this, it's like a middle school attempt at humor. D- troll job

Even on a limited snap count like Harvin had against Seattle, Watkins would command the attention of Jalen Ramsey. -

What would lead you to believe this since all that is stopping him from returning to the field is clearance from the Bills medical staff? -

JM57 replied to buffaloboyinATL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would think so, yes. If I recall correctly he visited a specialist right after he went on IR and the scan then confirmed that he hadn't re-fractured the foot and didn't require another surgery to insert a larger screw, rather it just wasn't healing very well with his level of activity and that was causing pain. 8 weeks of rest, if he is cleared, should be more than enough time for the foot to be actually healed this time around. -

That's why even though many here are rooting for Raiders losses, I hope they keep winning. Puts pressure on the Pats to keep winning to get home field -

Good article here regarding the injury. Mentions that Julio Jones also had it in the past, and its the same injury Edelman had last season... http://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2016/05/dez_bryant_kevin_durant_can_teach_us_about_bills_wr_sammy_watkins_foot_injury.html -
The Chiefs Have Real Problems

Bad math? For some reason I had them at 5-5 in my head. Assuming Buffalo beats them to get to 10-6 and Miami's other loss is to NE, both teams would be 3-3 in the division, so I believe the next intra-division is common games, which I think Bufflao loses to Miami. I think they need Miami at 9-7 to get in -

Please take your logic and facts regarding the difficult nature of Jones fractures elsewhere. Don't bother mentioning that Dez Bryant had similar issues returning from a Jones fracture, or that Kevin Durant also had the same issue with his Jones fracture. Our resident corrections officer has made it very clear Sammy Watkins has a "boo boo foot" and nothing more. -

For Buffalo to make it at 10-6, assuming New England and Oakland hold their bye slots, you need three of four teams to finish 9-7 out of the group of KC, Denver, Pittsburgh/Baltimore (one will win the division and be out of the WC picture), and Miami. Let's say KC is actually a bad team and falls apart to a 9-7/8-8 record with losses to Denver twice, Oakland once, and Atlanta or Tennessee. That drops them out of consideration. For Buffalo to get to 10-6, I think everyone assumes splitting Pittsburgh /Oakland and winning the rest. That gets Miami to 6 losses. One loss by the Dolphins to Baltimore, Arizona or New England and that's 7. That leaves your AFC North teams. You don't often see someone sweep the Ravens/Steelers series, but it Baltimore does it and the Bills beat the Steelers, that's the easiest way to get them to 9-7. The Steelers also have the Giants who I'm not sure if they are good or not. For the Ravens, they could get to 7 losses if they lose to the Patriots and Steelers. None of this is THAT crazy when you look at it. But the NFL isn't predictable. Buffalo's best shot, IMO, short of going 11-5, would be 10-6 with the loss being to an Oakland team that wins the AFC West and challenges New England for home field (to make the NE/MIA week 17 game matter) -
KC has Denver twice, Oakland and Atlanta left on the schedule. Denver has KC twice, as well as New England and Oakland. Whoever wins that matchup next week, you want them to win both head to head games, because that guarantees that the loser has at least 5 losses, and there's other tough games left to get them to 6 or 7.
-
Or just assume they win their respective divisions and catching them doesn't matter. There's two distinct scenarios we can cheer for with Oakland: they run away with the West and finish like 13-3, or they completely self-destruct and finish 9-7. Anything in between, they're helping Denver/KC and snagging the wild card spot you hope the Bills are getting.
-
I see a lot of people talking about Raiders losses on here the last 18 hours but I don't get it. IMO, you want them to run away with the AFC West because that means they're pinning losses on KC and Denver

Bills haven't beat a winning team
JM57 replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's only 14 winning teams in the league, only 5 of them are on the Bills schedule (NE, SEA, OAK, MIA, BAL) and there are games remaining against two of them.
