  1. A quick Google search also notes that he was the ref for the MNF against the Patriots last year. The inadvertent whistle and running clock gaffes.
  2. It's a very experienced crew top to bottom, per Football Zebras. One member with 3 years, one with 11 years, Steratore and the rest with 14 or more. Steratore, though, is THE "Calvin Johnson rule" ref, making the call on the initial play by Megatron a few years back, and then also against Dez Bryant in the playoff game against Green Bay. So, Bills receivers, DO NOT LET GO OF THE BALL.
  3. I'm not too concerned with Baltimore. Their schedule has been pretty soft and they're still 3-2. If only Darby held onto that pick week 1. But really they have lost to Oakland and Washington, but best Buffalo, Cleveland and Jacksonville. Not exactly a murderers row of teams there. They play the two New Jersey teams on the road back to back before the bye, then it should get dicey for them. Beginning on 11/6, they face Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Dallas in Jerry World, Cincinnati, Miami, New England in Foxboro, Philadelphia, then cap the season off traveling to Pittsburgh and Cincinnati. I don't think they're going any better than 9-7
  4. I think it's hilarious that so many guys have decided it was a "kitty move" and refuse to watch the replay and see how it actually happens. Its such an awkward play. Blount and Gilmore seem to do the football field equivalent of the "which way are we going" dance that you do with a stranger walking in the other direction. Gilmore wants to go low, Blount gears up for the hurdle. Gilmore notices Blount getting ready to hurdle and doesn't go low, Blount notices and doesn't hurdle. What results is an awkward "I don't know what to do with my body right now" exchange between both guys.
  5. Absolutely no question you rotate him in slowly. He will probably be the first one in to spell Hughes and Alexander, with the opportunity to overtake Alexander should he be more productive. Huge addition to the depth on defense.
  6. WR (Woods is gonna get paid stupid money as a FA), S, interior OL (Graham, Wood and Incognito are not young)
  7. The hate for Gilmore on this board is hilarious
  8. Listenbee is on the NFI list, I believe all that happens with that list is that the guy immediately goes from not counting to counting on the 53 man as soon as he is medically cleared and begins practicing. Whereas with the PUP list, Lawson (or Easley) can begin practicing the day after the week 6 game. The team then has 3 weeks to either activate the player to the 53 man.
  9. Very weak call, in my opinion, but also the reds probably trying to keep the game in check after the pregame mix up. He and the Patriots DL he was engaged with both took little shots at each other, which is normal. Incognito kind of grabbed the guy by the edge of his shoulder pads on the chest and gave them a good yank down. The other guy shoved Incognito. Incognito shoved back. If he doesn't take the second go at the guy, maybe no flag.
  10. Shaq is on the PUP list, not IR. Also the IR-DFR designation is gone now, teams don't have to specify ahead of time. Everyone goes on IR, then the team can take only one player off it.
  11. I think The Donald posts at TBD
  12. You honestly believe that the 7-8-1 Panthers from 2014 were a more deserving playoff team than the 10-6 Eagles (who beat those same Panthers 45-21?) Or the 8-7-1 Packers in 2013 instead of the 10-6 Cardinals? You don't think maybe the 10-6 Jets last year would have been better in the playoffs than that 30-0 stinker Houston put up against KC?
  13. The divisions are fine, he says, as "division winners" continue to sneak in at 7-9, 8-8, 7-8-1....
  14. Yes, they do, but also no, they don't. New England will run their bread and butter pick plays to get the ball into Edelman's hands Every. Single. Week. Some weeks that is 90% of their offense because it works so well. Other times its only a small part. But its always there. The same is true with Bruce Arians and the Cardinals. He will run his verticals and try to get it to his burners in John Brown and JJ Nelson, but those shots vary based on success. But they're always there. Roman didn't really have anything like that.
  15. I'm not at all defending violence against a woman but I like to remind people that one of the victims in this case was all over Twitter the day after bragging to her friends about pressing charges and calling Kane a n***er. She's white. So lord only knows what a character like that would find it appropriate to say to someone when the alcohol was flowing. I have a strange feeling that's guilt by all parties involved.
  16. Then why bring him back now
  17. Bruce Arians calls all the plays on offense for Arizona. Just sayin.
  18. 5 catches, 19 yards. Yeah, he really slapped them around good.
  19. Evidence is on the fact that they're eating $750k in dead money for cutting Felton and still brought him back. If they were happy with his previous salary he'd still be making it. Instead they get him back at a fraction of the cost, and because it is now week 2, with no guaranteed money.
  20. Didn't watch but looking at the stats it seems like Rohach (sp?) was an absolute tire fire. Jackson looks like he performed better even with the late turnovers. Give the team to the kid and let him cut his teeth.
  21. Interesting move. Wonder where he lands.
  22. This is pretty much the way I see it too. First 4 games, they need to go 3-1 and the most preferable team to lose to is Arizona, as it doesn't hurt them in the division or the conference. A loss to AZ and a 3-1 record would make them 3-0 in the AFC and 2-0 in the AFC East. Q2: Again, you hope for 4-0 but 3-1 is ideal. 2-2 would be disappointing. I'm going to do what everyone else does and expect a win over Miami and a loss to NE with Brady back. That leaves them at 4-1 in the AFC and 3-1 in the division. Sitting pretty(ish) at 6-2 in the midst of their nightmare stretch of 4 games. Q3: Go ahead and chalk up Seattle and Cinci as losses, now they're 6-4 with the REAL important games left. 4-2 in the AFC, 3-1 in the division and games left against most of their possible competition for a wild card spot. Oakland, Jacksonville, Pittsburgh should be right in the mix assuming KC, Houston and Cinci are the division leaders. Gotta beat two of those three to put yourself on top of the heap. Beat the first two and now you're 8-4 and 6-2 in the AFC with head to head wins over two potential competitors.
  23. I didn't get a chance to see the Cover1 piece, but it was pretty obvious that Jerome Felton and Bruce Miller were vastly different players. Miller caught a lot (of passes (for a FB) during the Roman years in SF.
