  1. 3rd year. If everyone ahead of me can keep bailing out, I'd love to get higher on the seniority list for when the new stadium comes
  2. I dOn'T gEt ThIs MoCkInG sPoNgEbOb FaD tHoUgH
  3. Physicals are a normal part of a FA visit I think, why would you offer a contract if he's not medically cleared by your team
  4. Anyone who had any position within the leadership of football operations at any point since 1999.
  5. IIRC Hauschka's KO stats were middle of the road for the league the last few years. He's an improvement over Carpenter there, but certainly room for an upgrade. If Rehkow were to somehow be a better punter than Schmidt AND able to handle the kickoffs better than Hauschka, that'd be ideal.
  6. I don't care how good of an advisor or marketer he is. I want anything with the stink of the last 17 years on it out of OBD.
  7. The key is to get people to commit early. My wife works every other weekend so we figure out which games she can't attend right when the schedule is released, then I find friends to fill in. By the time the team sucks, they've already committed to filling in....suckers
  8. Off the top of my head, Odrick, Barnidge and McCourty were all cuts so they wouldn't count against the formula.
  9. I think he is best as depth anyway. Let him rotate in certain packages or if Hyde or Poyer need a break
  10. No need to claim at that price if you can now sign him for the minimum
  11. Just scanned the thread, had it been mentioned that if he starts the season on the PUP list, that his contract, and the option, tolls to the next season?
  12. While I agree that McCoy and Clay have "escapeable" contracts after this season, why would the team choose to release them and pay a dead money penalty without having their replacement? They could just as easily keep two good players for 2018, find their replacement and then cut them before 2019 for a smaller penalty
  13. Slippery field certainly doesn't help
  14. I understand Tyrod's struggles down the middle of the field. But why does he have to throw down the middle to hit a TE? They can't run an out route or a flat route to the sidelines? It's a new offense now. Dennison comes from the Kubiak tree, who comes from the Shanahan tree...who comes from the Bill Walsh tree. Each man runs it differently of course, but the skeleton of the scheme is going to be a zone run game and passing game with a lot of horizontal routes...which should benefit Tyrod's mobility. If you can move the pocket and stretch routes side to side, he should be able to see the field better
  15. Oh you're one of those guys. Yes, his floor is probably "average starting QB" unless he's got issues with the mental side of the game and can't grasp a playbook.
  16. You're basing this off the last coaching staff though. The Kubiak/Dennison offenses have historically made good use of both their #1 and #2 TE. Joel Dreessen and Garrett Graham had decent production in Houston as the #2 guy. It didn't happen as much in Denver because Virgil Green is...well...not good. But they did use Green & Daniels on the field together frequently. I'm not saying this would be the best opportunity, because I don't know who else is looking at him. But this would be a *good* opportunity for him based on the number of snaps available to the #2 TE on this offense and the lack of talent to push for said #2 spot. Nobody is paying big money for a 31 or 32 year old TE with a season and a half of production.
  17. Yes. His floor is basically Tyrod Taylor, and at half the price.
  18. Based on your last sentence, I believe we have pretty solid evidence that Leroi is, in fact, Russ Brandon
  19. Is he better than "Shamiel Gary" or "Joe Powell"?
  20. Listenbee might be faster than Ross if 100% healthy, that's the crazy thing
  21. Imo you do NOT use a starter as a returner, especially at a thin position like DB. White and Hyde are needed on defense more. As far as WR I think we can safely lock in Watkins, Jones, Holmes and Brown as the top 4. Tate as WR6/ST maven. Battle totals for WR5 between Butler, Listenbee, Powell, etc. This is probably the end of the road for Dez Lewis though
  22. Floyd wouldn't really fit the character bill and WR doesn't look awful with the addition of Zay Jones. You've not got Watkins, Jones, Holmes and Brown as your top 4 with Listenbee and others competing for WR5. Assuming Tate will be kept as a 6th WR for his returning abilities. I'd take a look at McCourty, especially if he's willing to at least consider a move to safety - another DB who could move between positions would probably have McDermott giddy. He got cut by Tennessee because he wasn't willing to take a pay cut, IIRC he was due about $7 million. Maybe if he's still out there on June 1 when the $4 million or so from Aaron Williams comes off the cap, he's an option.
  23. Great job but please don't call it The Cap, it's so corny
