  1. So does Cutler. Cutler has the experience with Gase, but not anywhere near the same mobility of Tannehill. Kaepernick could mimic Tannehill in the offense a lot better IMO
  2. Yes I'm sure they paid him $10 million to be a backup
  3. Incentives could also be snap % or # of games started, not necessarily number of catches
  4. Better get Joe Flacco fitted for a jacket then
  5. Troy Aikman. Got to QB an offense with one of the greatest RBs ever (is Emmitt top 3 or top 5?), a top notch blocking FB, an amazing talent at WR in Irvin, and unbelievable OL. He's 34th all time in yards, by my look 16 of the guys ahead of him retired after him or are still active. 68th in TDs. Career stats averaged out over his 12 years: 2745 yards, 13.75 TD, 11.75 INT. Even though he didn't play in the same era as today's QBs, that's....kind of putrid. The only thing he has going for him is 3 rings.
  6. Agreed. Partial tears are basically a ticking time bomb if they aren't surgically repaired. Sure, you can let it heal and go back to your athletics...but it's almost guaranteed to fully tear eventually.
  7. Closest comps based on the measurables on Mockdraftable include Graham, Gronk, Thomas and Austin Hooper.
  8. He was the #1 TE in the recruiting class of 2009 over Arthur Lynch, Auburn legend Philip Lutzenkirchen (RIP), Levine Toilolo (Falcons) and Dion Sims (Dolphins). It's not like he's a complete clean slate, he's just going back in time a bit. Fun notes...Ra'shede Hageman was the #6 tight end in that class and Zach Ertz was #10
  9. Walt's train doesn't leave the station until October
  10. I'm on the hype train
  11. Yeah, Timmons hit Ajayi so hard that Timmons helmet popped off. Ajayi ended up with a concussion.
  12. Sully has roughly 5 columns drafted up and then just fills in some blanks like he's playing mad libs
  13. I've been saying it since he left without a deal. After this many years in the league he probably has zero interest in training camp. If teams are willing to sign him after camps break, he'd be dumb to not wait.
  14. No. Getting rid of him in any way now will cost money against both the 2017 and 2018 cap. Silly. http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/reggie-ragland-18990/
  15. Well I haven't seen him for awhile so I'd hope he got shut down, I mean it was pretty obvious from his very first post he had nothing to add here. I'm not trying to be overly critical of you guys. I've been reading this site a LONG time. Longer than even my registered date would show. I have noticed a clear degradation in the quality of discussion here in the last six months. I know that getting such a sudden influx of new posters makes a task like moderating a forum, which is already difficult, even worse. Which is why I feel the need to call this stuff out. I want TBD to continue to be the place to go for quality discussion as it has been in the past. I don't want to see it fall to crap.
  16. I don't understand this--this guy is contributing literally nothing to this thread past some middle school "humor" and yet I got my peepee slapped, to borrow a Tim Murray quote, by the mods for calling someone a doofus. What?
  17. I'd agree with you. The good coaches adjust their scheme to suit the players they have. Rex Ryan does the opposite
  18. Okay so because Roscoe Parrish, a tiny human being by NFL standards, was hurt frequently playing a position where he was hit regularly by much larger players, he is equivalent to Marcell Dareus, who plays a position where you hit people? Am I following your logic properly?
  19. What does that say about the strength and conditioning staff
  20. I'll multi quote if it makes your heart a little less hurt. I don't care if there's 73 replies in the thread that say the same thing, saying "of course" and nothing else doesn't add anything to the discussion. Not that there's really anything to discuss, injuries can and do happen to any player
  21. Thanks for your interesting and thorough input on the situation. Bucky/Sully is that you?
  22. I understand it, but he's old enough and has accomplished enough where he can and will take the Kyle Orton route. No need to sleep in a dorm for 2 weeks when the same teams will want you once they're back home and you can sleep in a hotel bed or an apartment
  23. I'll be surprised if he doesn't wait a week or two to sign anywhere. Why go to camp if you don't have to
