  1. Are you sure it was Gilmore and not Darby? I remember being at that game and Darby looking like absolute garbage
  2. There's no way that was the second or third worst game by any team in the league this year. I've already watched the Dolphins get shut out on the national stage TWICE (London game and TNF) and been forced to watch the Giants in prime time more than once.
  3. I'm not saying it's not a *good* win streak. They're doing what you would expect a team with a veteran coaching staff and veteran QB to do, beating teams that are worse than them. What I was really getting at is that we all know what the Saints offense is. And after the Detroit game, we would have all assumed that it was going to be another year where Brees and company had to score 35 a game to win. I've heard some buzz about their defense's "turnaround" in the past few weeks, which sounda great, but the truth is they have faced Hundley and Trubisky and then 1/2 a game each of Fitz and Winston. I think the defense is still beatable. They didn't turn into the 85 Bears overnight after being hilariously bad for the better part of 5 games
  4. + Clay coming back. + Jones seemed to be breaking through his early struggles.
  5. Nope just us. Battered Bills fan syndrome. Every team has a flaw. The Chiefs defense has looked bad for quite awhile. The Jaguars have to hide Bortles most days (not today). The Titans offense has been not great and their defense inconsistent. The Texans lost Watson so I'm no longer even worried about them being in the discussion considering their other injuries. The Dolphins are a wreck and it's amazing they have 4 wins. The Ravens offense is awful.
  6. I'm not going to deny the Saints are on a roll, and that they have been playing better defense since the shootout with Detroit, but let's look at their winning streak. They started out with a season saving win vs. Carolina to get to 1-2. Followed that up beating Miami in London. That team is a trainwreck. The shootout with Detroit got them to 3-2. Since that week, they have faced the Packers with Hundley making his first start, the Bears with Trubisky making his fourth start, and the disintegrating Buccaneers. I will not discredit them for the wins over Carolina or Detroit, or try to claim that they do not have a very potent offense. But the rumors of their defense's rise may be slightly exaggerated, considering who they have played recently.
  7. I believe he has been shadowing for most of the year
  8. No it wasn't that critical. They have SEVEN conference games left, four of which are in the division. If they don't get in this year, it will be because they couldn't take care of business down the stretch in winnable conference games.
  9. Kick return experience as well which means he can be the second deep man with Tate when needed
  10. He had a very specific role in the Saints offense under Payton.
  11. At the very least he should be a better weapon as a pass catcher then Tolbert. He filled that role very capably during his time in NO.
  12. This is a garbage attitude IMO. They have played 8 games. In the 8th, they looked considerably worse than they did in the previous 7, but a lot of the mistakes they made are coachable. It seems that a lot of the poor tackling was due to trying to force turnovers. The fix? When you return to practice, you preach the first guy wrapping up and all subsequent guys go for the strip. IMO Humber had a very bad game, at least early, and was caught jumping inside on outside runs multiple times. That's fixable, or they could just put Milano back in. On the offensive side, Dennison made some huge mistakes early in the 3rd, continuing to run big formations against a stacked box. When he finally spread it out with a 3WR set, they started moving the ball, but that drive unfortunately ended with the O'Leary fumble. Self-scouting. Play Tyrod in shotgun more to alleviate the poor OL play. Additonally on offense, you have Benjamin being integrated (I think we see his role slowly grow week to week for the next 8 games as he learns the offense and develops rapport with Tyrod) AND you get Tyrod's security blanket, Big Play Charles Clay, back too. Those are two receivers that HAVE to be respected or they WILL beat you. The Jets were able to stack the box because they weren't in any way scared of Zay Jones, Jordan Matthews and Andre Holmes. Things can and will change. They have already evolved as the season went on to implement the power run game and unbalanced formations that they excelled at the last two seasons. Don't give up yet. I believe this coach is obsessed with winning and will be mad as hell about a beat down like Thursday night. He will demand his coaches to fix everything that can be fixed from that game.
  13. I DON'T KNOW WHAT WE'RE YELLING ABOUT
  14. No but he was calling the jumbo under center sets when the Jets were stacking the box instead of even attempting to spread it out at all. They finally went to a shotgun 3 WR set and were moving the ball until the O'Leary fumble, but it took him the entire 3rd quarter to pull his head out of his ass and even try to spread it at all.
  15. PSE should take all the money they're paying the clown that runs the Sabres account and give it to the whoever runs the Bills account. Night and day difference.
  16. He would be on IR if he wasn't coming back
  17. Love the tenacity this kid plays with. I saw it mentioned a couple times already, but I'd venture a guess that his career may not be a long one. He's got that killer instinct. He wants the big hit and is willing to sacrifice everything for it. We saw it in the preseason when he came flying into the pile late like a heat seeking missile and took Jerel Worthy out for over a month. There was a similar play yesterday where either Washington or Richard was wrapped up and almost down and he came flying in and just missed knocking them into next year.
  18. Say that McCoy or Taylor get injured, do you really see this team winning another 5 games with Peterman at QB or Tolbert, Banyard and Jones sharing carries? I don't. That would be one way the season could crumble and you could still have faith in the direction of the franchise.
  19. Pretty sure the Bills gain next to no savings because the dead cap hit will spread across this year and next year
  20. Guessing? They don't have a choice.
  21. Just using Edelman as an example, they also have a suitable replacement for him in Amendola. Do the Bills have a Hyde clone ready to go? They don't. So you don't risk getting him hurt returning kicks or punts
  22. People do heroin, but it doesn't mean we should. Just because someone else does it, doesn't make it a good idea.
  23. Even better. They have to be close. It was probably a 5-6 week injury.
  24. It's 6 weeks from the injury period they agreed upon in the settlement. For all we know it could have been a 2 or 3 week settlement and he could be eligible to return here soon
