  1. Make sure to keep an eye on your cooler out there...
  2. The time management...if can call it that...at the end of the first half was awful Me and my friend watching were screaming for EJ to spike the ball, Ray Charles could have seen that that was the right play. Bills lost at least two additional plays because of that blunder.
  3. "The Scrounger"
  4. Haven't seen the Wegmans' name mentioned anywhere...don't they have the available assets to make a run also?
  5. I was at the '93 Jets game and remember watching HBO's "This Week in the NFL" later that week and it opened the game's highlights with Marv and Jets coach Bruce Coslett talking at midfield before the game. Marv: "It's brutal today, I don't think we'll have many people here." Coslett: "I just looked out at your parking lot, it's packed!" Marv: "These people are amazing..." I also remember on Christmas Eve the Bills put out a call to come clear the stadium for $5/hour I believe and many showed up...and more then a few were not dressed for the weather. Seeing this, Marv went into the locker room and grabbed hats, gloves and other gear to give to the folks clearing the snow. In my view, Marv made the Hall of Fame on that day.
  6. I go back to the D & C message board days (of which this site was born) and Bob Lamb deserves a hat tip, along with Scott, for creating this site. Bob helped me out back in '99 in getting a version of Shout! on CD (high tech back then). He was a great source on Bills history and alawys kept his posts informative and classy.
  7. The teams set the preseason schedules, not the NFL; notice how the Bills always finish either hosting or at Detroit? If you have a beef, and I can't see why you do, you're complaint should be aimed at the Bills.
  8. If/when the Bills ever leave, the NFL is dead to me.
  9. Lou Saban should be up there, but we all know the story behind that...
  10. When asked to comment, Charlie Brown's teacher replied, "WahWahWahWahWah."
  11. Gawd, she was so deserving of the abuse...the nastiness she displayed was over the top, and still one the best TSW threads ever.
  12. Thanks for posting this Hammer...glad I finally got to meet you this year. How you explained the local gin joints is spot on...for every Applebees, there's four Big Trees or Gabriel's Gate. Already looking forward to next season (you have to, right?)
  13. Often times, I back into my garage, so when I'm leaving I feel like I'm driving out of the Bat Cave.
  14. Remember when we could always count on 80,200?
  15. Seen this many times, as have others, but each time, doesn't Bubba McDowell get more bitter?
  16. Jack, are you talking about Amtrak or Bills playoff appearences?
  17. AMC (if you can sit through the endless commercials) FMC and TCM are running some good war flicks, which should be the norm on Memorial Day weekend...caught the final hour of The Longest Day earlier this morning on FMC; one of the greatest WWII movies ever made.
  18. Wow, just last week, I met a woman who's last name was Cyr and I asked if she was related. She said she never heard of him.
  19. Pretty comprehensive list here Jabber. I would only add the home opener several seasons ago where Jax won on the last play of the game. I was there, in endzone seats where the Jags scored, and couldn't remember a more depressing walk out of Ralph/Rich. Forgot the CB (Clements?) where just a few plays before on fourth and long, only needed to bat the ball down but instead went for the INT and was burned for a big gainer that set up the Jags' TD.
  20. Hmmm...another $100 for Red Zone? Guess I'll need to make that August call to DTV after all...
  21. This coming from the guy who signed Albert Haynesworth...
  22. Sadder yet, looks like her dad is wearing a Slug jersey.
