  1. Col. Flagg from MASH
  2. Absolutely...no question about it.
  3. Dale Dye has become the modern day Richard Jaeckel...
  4. Yeah, sorta takes the small, independent brewer label away from DB but they continue to make some fine, very drinkable, products. If Mr. Budweiser showed up at my door with an open checkbook, it would be tough to say "no." I know some small brewers have told the big boys to go pack sand, and I respect them for that, but I also can't blame any business for considering an opportunity.
  5. Devil's Backbone, a Virginia brewery, just put out Earned Run Ale in the DC area, a session pale ale that was only available at Nats Park last year. Comes in a pack of 4 16oz cans. Will also inbide soon in some Hennepin, a saision from the fine folks from Ommegang in Cooperstown. Great brewery and a very good ale.
  6. I'm sorry, but MASH went quickly downhill after Frank Burns left. BJ became a jerk, Margaret's hair was perfectly coiffed and making Klinger a featured part of every show grew tiresome. I'll sit and watch any episode, seasons 1-3, but when scanning the channels and see a "newer" MASH, I keep surfing.
  7. Which is better, speaking no English at all or speaking Howard Cosell?
  8. A Garbage Plate at 4:00AM is better than a steak at the Ritz.
  9. We had an Apple's in Brockport when I was going to school there in the early 1980s. What I remember most about them is that they took every bottle you brought in, even the Canadians, which no other local store would touch. One time, we took back enough bottles to buy a Trivial Pursuit game, which at the time was about $40...which comes out to be 800 bottles at a nickel each...probably a weekend's worth...
  10. I'll go through the usual song and dance once my contract is up in August...I hate doing it, but there's no way I can pay the list price. They've been pretty fair in the past, but as others have noted, since AT&T took over, the loyalty discounts are not certain; it may take several calls before you hit a sympathetic CSR. In my area, Fairfax, VA, I've got two other competing choices, Cox and Fios. That's been my strong hand in years past when negotiating with DTV.
  11. Just fought with an hardboiled egg for what seemed like an eternity to rid the bastard of shells...yesterday's egg, cooked in the same lot, was much easier to peel, however. What the hell gives?
  12. I seriously doubt we get a Sunday night game...it's probably in Al Michaels' contract that he doesn't have to come to Buffalo. I'm predicting an early November Thursday night game against the Jets (yes, again) in NJ, and a home Monday night game in October vs. Jax.
  13. Thanks for the laugh!
  14. I still have an unopened bottle of Project Pasadena champagne...almost opened it after the Bills clinched the playoff spot, but it remains stashed away for the big celebration (I just hope I'm still alive to see it)
  15. Brits find NFL football second only to golf as "most boring sport." https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/early-lead/wp/2018/01/11/london-will-host-three-nfl-playoff-teams-this-fall-but-survey-shows-little-interest-among-brits/?utm_term=.377da9763160
  16. This sequence, and the one that gave the Jags the FG right before halftime, determined the game. Passing the ball from your own 10 with less than a minute to go, only gave the Jags free timeouts which they use to kick the FG. That sequence was on Dennison alone.
  17. AJ McCarron would be an interesting pickup. Not sure our boy Nate is NFL potential. Had the "deer in the headlights" look when called upon yesterday and promptly ended the Bills season with an INT. That being the case, is Tyrod kept as a backup?
  18. That's sounds about right. Could the Bills do it? Maybe, but that's a pretty big price tag. What's sad is that the Bills, or anyone else, could have nabbed him just a few years ago for a fourth round pick. He was drafted by the Skins the same year as RG3 and Cousins was viewed as a career backup.
  19. From the article: There’s also a signed Doug Flutie jersey—and the fan wearing it selected it for the precise reason that Flutie was the quarterback for that last playoff game. “I’m literally partying like it’s 1999,” says John Griveas.
  20. I remember some of the bars in Rochester were showing the replay via VHS to big crowds. Great time to be a Bills fan in WNY...it's on the way back!
  21. njsue was just starting her homework... Heitz still had his cooler...
  22. I fly my Bills flag every game day here in Northern Virginia. Every once in awhile, I meet a person from the neighborhood who says, "Oh, you're the one with the Bills flag."
  23. Great player, granted, but Billy Shaw did not play in the NFL and he, as you know, is in the HOF. Ron Mix played primarily in the AFL and Lance Alworth would have made the HOF even if he didn't play for the Cowboys.
