  1. Best Bills road trip: Green Bay. Great atmosphere and even better fans. Worst Bills road trip: Cleveland. Went to the Thursday night game there a couple of years ago and the place was full of a-holes.
  2. Ah, yes, the Roland Hooks game in 1981...and the catch before the Hail Mary was more spectacular than the TD. I remember looking down a tunnel in the upper deck and seeing guys piling out of the bathroom to see what the hell happened...many with their pants still down around their knees!
  3. Earlier in the season, Philly fans turned the 27k seat StubHub Center in LA into a home game and stomped the Chargers. I expect nothing less from West Coast Bills fans, who should fill 26k of the 27k seats. If it becomes Orchard Park West, the Bills should have little trouble from a Charger team that could be 3-6 by the time we play them.
  4. Umm...that game was in New England. Now, that was a great moment too. Freddy Smerlas leading some players back out onto the field and doing a victory dance, while we fans stayed and savored the victory.
  5. It's been awhile...the year we could have gone to the playoffs by beating Pitt in the finale, I think the Bills won in Seattle @SF in 1992 @ LA Raiders in 1991 I can't remember any others
  6. 1974 opener and oddly, it didn't sell out, which meant that if you weren't there, in WNY all you had was the radio.
  7. Halftime of the 1990 AFC championship and we were up 41-3. The high-fiving, hugging and other highjinx in the concourse...we knew we were going to the Super Bowl.
  8. I started with the 1996 D&C HyperBills, then migrated over to the TBD we know today.
  9. Got an F in "Beginning Weight Training" at SUNY Brockport. I never went to the class, applied for an incomplete, with every thought of finishing it the next semester after an internship on Capitol Hill. Well, I was fortunate to land a job on the Hill, never went back and needed only two classes to get my degree at George Mason. Administration at Brockport refused to pull the F off my transcripts after my numerous attempts to do so. I'm still bitter about it to this day. I have a 3.5 ungrad GPA, a 3.75 in my major, political science, and that freakin' F stands out like a sore thumb. Bastards.
  10. Really? Imagine in August buying tickets, a flight and reserving a hotel for a Sunday game, and only 10 days out be told, "Umm, we moved your game to Monday night." Not going to happen. And the above is the primary reason the NFL will not flex Monday night games.

  12. Chris Myers...ugh...
  13. Last night's matchup, Indianapolis at Tennessee, was only appealing to people in...Indianapolis and Nashville. Neither team with a hint of a national following. BTW, is there a bigger "I don't care" division in football than the AFC South?
  14. Checked my local beer mart, Total Wine and More in Fairfax, VA and they don't sell it...went to the website and see it's only indigenous to Maine. Dang.
  15. All summer, been high on Founders Session IPA, at about a 5 ABV. Comes in 15 packs and you can get it for around $16. Fall Oktoberfest beers in the fridge this year include Brooklyn, Flying Dog, Dominion, and Great Lakes. All outstanding.
  16. Surprised the 'Cuse is getting the Bills. When Bills/Jints on same time/network, Jints usually shown in Syracuse.
  17. I started Edison Tech in September 1972 also. Second day in, I got my ass kicked by some thugs at a nearby bus stop. Determined then that Edison wasn't the place for me, and transferred back "home" to Charlotte.
  18. May have missed if this link was posted earlier, but Rochester D&C recently did an article on the subject: http://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/news/local/columnists/andreatta/2017/09/22/andreatta-when-boys-swam-nude-gym-class/694542001/ I went to Charlotte High, featured in the story, in Rochester (pronounced "Sha-Lot") in the 70s and we did indeed swim in the raw. Never gave it another thought until I saw the article. The swim coach pictured, George Graham, was also my football coach.
  19. Orton? Simply put, no. Deserving Bills from the "Drought Era" are Freddy Jackson, Kyle Williams, and maybe Lee Evans. London Fletcher a long shot.
  20. My biggest beef is with the doofus in the tunnel end zone seats who waves that big, distracting florescent rag when the Bills are attempting a FG or XP.
  21. Jeeziz, a guy with a .30 BAC...dangerous, very dangerous.
  22. I saw that also
