  1. Beane does it just about in every draft. I can just see it on Embedded again. He likes someone, is hyper, panics and moves up to pick a guy they think will be a good pass rusher. Meanwhile, the experts like Kierlien on NFL.COM say the player could be a good backup but doesn’t have the quickness or frame to be a good pass rusher in the NFL. Rinse, repeat. As some of our fellow board members like to point out, the only first round draftee by Beane that was a major hit is our MVP Josh Allen.
  2. In a development season with few wins, they upset the Toledo Rockets (is there an aerospace company in Toledo?) , who are one of the better teams in the MAC. So, how long before Bryson Wilson enters the transfer portal?
  3. McLaurin is a deep threat. Why would they move him inside? Deebo is more of a slot receiver who gets handoffs, tosses behind the LOS and other short tosses, then uses his quickness, size and strength to gain yardage.
  4. So, what is this talk about the Bills having “informal” meetings with players? What’s the difference?
  5. Would anyone who watches these games even notice a difference in quality of play? Now, where did I put my cleats?
  6. I just flashed back to Mario’s red contacts. Bad things, man!
  7. I thought he was overrated. He’d have 10 or so sacks in a season but maybe 6 would be in 2 games vs crappy teams. Teams didn’t have to game plan for him.
  8. You can’t completely eliminate the human factor of the game of football but it always seemed odd to me that a multi-billion dollar (actually probably trillion now) industry relies on someone eyeballing where the ball is placed, then some guy eyeballing that spot to place a stick, then having a 10 yard long chain used to determine if the team got the necessary yards for a first down. With all the eyeballing, why does it have to be so exact and have games decided because of an inch? The Bills had a great season which unfortunately may have ended based on the eyeballing. Regarding the chain, I swear there was one instance in a Bills game where I found the measurement to be shady. The chain is attached to the stick an inch or so above the ground. Usually you see the stick guy pull the chain taut and sometimes shake it to remove any possible chinks before putting it down. In this instance the stick was put down and part of the chain was on the ground and they ruled the Bills didn’t make a first down. They moved the stick away real quick so it was down for less than a second.
  9. Yeah, he seemed too tentative, lacking aggression.
  10. Welcome to the 21st Century, NFL!!
  11. Chris Paul’s son is a LB?! 👍🤚✋🤲👐
  12. Well, the rise of the passing games resulted in teams playing 2 deep safeties. Soon, they may force all defenders to start a play within 5 yards of the LOS.
  13. We don’t know what happened with Amari Cooper after the trade but he had a career year in receiving yardage in 2023, playing with mediocre QBs. I don’t think he faded that much in one season. Sometimes coaches make things too complicated, increasing the difficulty for a player to pick things up when joining a team in mid season. It can also be that players are just slow to pick things up. The main thing I like about Cooper is that he’s not a bigmouthed diva. He’s quiet and nothing was heard about him not getting playing time and targets. I think, with Brady staying and a full offseason adapting to the system, Cooper could be a good weapon for this team.
  14. Well, there are things like the salary cap and being able to put together a 53 man roster.
  15. Wasn’t it Beane who made the comment about Kincaid needing to get stronger to better compete? Maybe that had something to do with the trainer being let go.
  16. I had just read something that they were like one of the top teams with the fewest injuries for the 3rd straight year.
  17. When I went to the Super Bowl at Stanford, YA Tittle sat behind me.
  18. Anyone want to wager he gets another job?
  19. Yeah, he had a good game but I think they should’ve given it to the whole Eagles defensive line. They were awesome. I came on here the other day and said the pass rush doesn’t matter if KC runs the short pass game like they did vs the Bills. Boy, was I wrong! Mahomes got so antsy from being hit, he was rushing passes with a clean pocket, which I know was rare in this game. it was the kind of game that pretty much ended Tony Eason’s career after the 85 Bears harassed him or Jared Goff’s performance for a couple years after the Patriots pummeled him. Mahomes seems to be a different breed who shouldn’t be affected by this game but who knows.
  20. And he’s a horrible actor.
  21. I bet he’s not ‘smiling’ now. Why did it take them a month to make this decision?
  22. I watched an Eagles national game late in the season, when I was convinced the Bills would have a hard time beating them. Their lines are arguably the best. They are so big and physical and would likely have also dominated the Bills.
  23. I believe this management team will try to do something big. They have the track record in making all the moves to go get Josh, the trade for Diggs, and the signing of Von Miller, even though that didn’t work out.
  24. With their current structure of offense, they don’t need a #1 WR. That’s the point of their approach.
