Josh Allen turning non-believers into believers
ddaryl replied to IgotBILLStopay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He is still woefully inaccurate and has not found any touch on his passes. He holds the ball way to long and has almost 0 ability to hit the 3 step quick pass drop. Looking better but he has a long way to travel before I would crown him anything -
Josh Allen has become the leader of this football team

LMAO.. Make sure you use some scope when your done. He has a long way to go still -
OK. I'll Say It-Allen will be best Bills QB ever

Bills have released Kelvin Benjamin and Andre Holmes

nobody will miss BJ's lack of production -
his inaccuracies are not overblown at all. His low completion percentage is a testament to that. His pocket awareness is improving and his ability to scramble is becoming an asset however it could lead to his undoing just the same.. Right now Josh still struggles in the passing game quite a bit with his ability to make a quick read and then get the ball out quickly. If he can throw into tight windows consistently then this part of his game will start to shine. He still holds the ball for a long time, and this leads to half of our holding calls on the OL. Cut down the time Josh holds the ball and we won't be as penalized on the OL. I thought he showed some progression against Miami... But Josh is still a pretty big project.... and very much still a We shall see situation

Until you have a QB you have to keep bringing them in.I am very under sold on Allen at this point and would not want to go into next season with just Allen as the franchises p[ossible future. We will see more of Allen but if there is no improvement in the 2nd half then you really have zero choice but to look heavily at QB's> problem is will there be one worthy of the pick.

I exect a professional organization to field an Offense an do do what it takes to groom a rookie QB into the NFL which includes a reaql established vet.. And to field an OL that doesn't get our RB and QB destroyed in the process I'm sick and tired of it 9-7 -3-13- 8-8 - 4-12s..... but no team in their right mind fields this offense on purpose
-
mentioned that and he did little to nothing with a rookie qb a year QB and a backup QB on the roster at camp.. I mean what GM would be ok with that ? I expect him to go out and get OL and a real Vet QB before anything had to be said Seriously you going to defend Beane complete screw up with a rookie QB on the orster

For Those Calling For Mahomes, Check This Out.
ddaryl replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mahommes is obviously a ranch guy -
I want to see him scan the field. Make the right reads and fire the ball into tight windows accurately. Something he has show very little ability to do with any consistency.
-
it all comes down to one thing QB play.. not feeling it
-
I blame Allen because even a moderately unsuccessful QB would of produces more than 100 yds of passing Allen is not dissecting at the LOS and is not making quick reads on any type of consistent basis. He takes way too much time holding the ball looking and waiting for open WR's, or even worse becoming a scramble 1st QB.. the very thing we want to avoid with a pocket passer

Peterdouche won't be here much longer. he has been given every chance to demonstrate. no stone was left unturned here.
-
LMFAO.. Its not impossible.. Its very possible. Allen has to get better quickly its blatantly obvious
-
the only way you can beat 8 in the box is for Allen to make those quick reads and throws that force the d to not stack the box. EVERYTHING is on the QB's shoulder to at least produce something, and the QB's cannot therefore opposing tams focus on stopping the run and challenge the Bills to beat you with the arm which we cannot because Our QB play has been very subpar

I sincerely don't get all of the negativity.....

This is sad. We just drafted a QB and we moved up to get him.. I expect that QB to be capable of putting up 150 yards per game on a bad day. Allen's struggles are his own. There is still a chance he gets it, but my feeling as of now is he doesn't have what it takes to be a franchise QB. I've seen this all before.. You dissect all the throws and all the times Allen is scrambling around. Most of the blame belongs to Allen's decision making and ability to make quicker decisions. yes our O is not very talented but with a better QB play we would of won the houston game. -

I expect us to bebetter on O than the crap fest we are swallowing. Defense is playing awesome and at a playoff level. All our O has to do is produce moderately and this is a playoff team. In fact 3 games Allen has passed for less than 100 yds in a game... I don't care if you are a rookie that is unacceptable at any level.. Even a piss poor rookie should be able to put up 150 yds average minimum IMO. Instead we have 2 TDs 5 INT's and 21 sacks. He has to improve quickly because if the O stays flat negativity will rise -

how does anyone not get the negativity. Once again we have an completely inept offense, and little to show at QB. How does one not be negative, and unfortunately I don't see it getting much better this year and to be honest not sure it would get better next year no matter what we do because we could very well be still looking for a QB. All the help in the world isn't going to make up for what we are seeing from the QB position. Maybe much more patience and hope to god the light bulb comes on for Allen.... As of today the light bulb is barely lit in regards to reads and decision making I'm not blaming Allen for it all but he has also done so little to bolster the belief he can be a franchise QB in the NFL. oh well keep suffering through more seasons and one of these decades we will be good again.... -
Bills Have Worked out FA WR Bennie Fowler
ddaryl replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
well of course. He is a professional that has to do things right before the rest really comes into the equation. Allen has accuracy, pre snap read, and field scanning skills that must be improved, and those improvements will correlate into better success for the rest of our WR / TE / RB catching passes. From there we will improve the skill level of the supporting cast in the near future... but this year Allen is key to getting better quickly. Yes we could use improvement at WR.. but the biggest quickest easiest to come by improvements for the offense will come from Allen getting better quickly.
