  1. Good news. I still want to see a Bills team knock him around before he does retire. If that never happens then I can never have any satisfaction ever again
  2. Jason Peters was never going to sign here. We offered him 9.5 million and he turned us down and took the same money in Philly> We got what we could but this was all Peters forcing the bills hand at that point
  3. It does not matter.. Only the win
  4. sure throw it out of the stadium then bonks some unexpected person walking around perimeter. MAJOR LAWSUIT It will never and should never happen..... if it does its only asking for a possible regrettable situation
  5. There needs to be a balance.. Check downs are essentially smart plays, made smarter if you are aware of your markers and achieve the moving of the chains portion of the check down. Difference between Allen and Edwards is Edwards could not take advantage of the field vertically with any sort of mid to deep passing game, therefore opposing D's just crowded the LOS and put 8 in the box making that portion and his only portion of his game a limiting feature. Allen this year essentially became the check down option with his running ability. However he needs to improve in his awareness and get the ball into the hands of safety valves. That will come with time and familiarity to the offense. I do not ever see Allen being a check down QB, but hopefully he will master the ability to use it
  6. I have watched Allen like all of you the whole year... He has progressed some in his passing game, and showed off some mad scrambling ability, knows how to slide or get out of bounds, and has shown some smarts in when to throw the ball away and not take a negative play.... More importantly at the end of his rookie season, He has not regressed in any facet of his game. He does bring excitement in the form of being the exact opposite type of QB we've had here for almost 2 decades post Jimbo. A non check down, not smallish, but the cannon arm that actually needs to be tamed a bit and that uncanny ability to be a big boy scrambler. A strong finish will cement most fans offseason confidence. A pair of ho hum games to end the season will leave the offseason up for lots debate... Would love to see Allen have that game where he locks horns with Brady and we see some of his ceiling on display... Now that would really make the offseason exciting. Either way with both Allen and Edmunds looking good I'm going to be ok this year I think. It will definitely be nice to be able to be thinking about something else besides a starting QB.
  7. Dude you do not know this. Elway may have made a slight adjustment to his velocity that made a difference. Elway also had a long career and his early days were not much different then Allens. This signifies Elways may have also had very similar growing pains. Yes the WR's will have to adjust to the velocity of Allens throws just the same but I do not blame some of the drops on WR's and I do not blame Allen either. Both need to make adjustments.... Yes we need upgrades and that will help but right now Allen has to adjust just the same> it will only make him better and more complete QB
  8. Yeah he's gone after this year. Just not producing for the cost
  9. Allens zingers are way more zing than most if not ALL QB's..... and those finger tip grabs are not as possible at those velocities. Coming out of break and grabbing a football that's already on its way is easier at lower velocity and that will even haunt the best finger tip catchers WR's in the game As for Allen's speed cutting down on INT's well it goes both ways then.. Our WR's will be having issues at high velocity just like Opposing D's. Its a double edge sword, so its up to Allen to learn when to zip it with all he's got and when to take a few MPH off the throw in any given situation. Yes a full Allen camp next year will help the O
  10. None of the above dumb poll
  11. Yeah we have some wr issues but its not all on them either. Zay has improved from his rookie year to this year. Good chance he will improve again going into next year after playing with Allen for a full year, and next year Allen will get most reps in camp which will help. I fail to see why anyone is hating on Zay. Josh does need to make adjustments.... He still throws with too much velocity to often. He is getting better with accuracy but he is not quite there. Too funny how sensitive people get, and only a few have there heads on straight here
  12. Would love to see Allen go toe to toe with Brady is a shoot out. Be good to see him just take that next steps to finish this season. A changing of the guard type of game
  13. Honestly Baker Mayfield if we were drafting #1 overall.. 21Td's 3000 yds.... 63+% non adjusted completion rate. No arguing Mayfield is more polished early on But I think Allen is the proving to be the 2nd best rookie QB in this draft IMO
  14. I feel a heluva a lot better about the bills future than I did in October Josh is developing and the last few weeks it has been on display
  15. I thought it was his best game to date from a passing stand point. The last 3 weeks Josh has shown improvement in the short pass / quick throws, and accuracy overall. I wanted ot see him be more consistent and improve and he has done that I the 2nd half of the season. Still a work in progress but I am feeling better about his progression
  16. I found the analysis to be pretty spot on. Allen stil has a ways to go... I love how offended people become if you dare not crown him franchise right now
  17. Not here for debate. I made my observation. Josh needs to learn to hit those quick passes and put the defense back on its heels.. The running is a nice perk, but he is depending on it.. He needs to start hitting those 3 step quick passes with some consistency then the OL will look better the offense in general will look better.
  18. I notice Zay tries to catch the ball in his chest or gut, especially ion the drop.. You got to grab that football with the hands. Not try to cradle it in the gut He has gotten better this year, but still has lapses
  19. I like that Josh can run but its going to be his undoing if he doesn't learn to pass much better. As of now I keep seeing Josh take a step forward only to see him take 2 steps back as a passing QB. One moment I thinks its happening for him, and then he makes a few bone throws to offset it all. The drop by Zay was painful and could of been a difference maker though.... But As it stands right now I want a real QB competition. Because 2 with potential trumps one with potential IMO
  20. OL is not horrible Its not great but its not horrible. Josh holds the ball way to long. I can see lots of QB's having more success with this team in general. However Josh has to learn so it s painful. As it stand right now he has a ways to go. You're gonna crown that ass... Well you enjoy that Did I ask for anyone to trust me over anything.. I trust my 45 years of watching football and making a very obvious observation. Josh has quite a ways to go with the passing game.... But if you and the Josh gang want to crown him the best ever go for it. When he plays like a QB who can throw the football for 60% and 200+ yds a game I will be happy. Until then he is still a work in progress and nothing else I love how infatuated some Bills fans are that they can not see that Josh still has a ways to go. When he starts growing into that QB I will be happy..
  21. I never understood the impatience with Zay from this forum.
