  1. Presser still hasn't started but I found the right link: https://www.wivb.com/secondary-live-stream/
  2. I wonder if this still exists & offers the best solution until they can get all the legal stuff figured out: https://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2014/9/17/6333759/nfl-exempt-commissioners-permission-list-explanation-adrian-peterson-greg-hardy The Minnesota Vikings took advantage of a rarely-used NFL protocol Wednesday, placing Adrian Peterson on the exempt/commissioner's permission list while the running back goes through the legal process after being indicted for child abuse last week. The list, used to allow players who are dealing with significant off-field situations, will allow the Vikings to remove Peterson from their 53-man roster. Peterson will be barred from all team activities in the meantime, which sounds like a suspension except that Peterson will be paid during his leave. The decision whether to pay the player falls on the team. Players placed on the exempt list can be held with or without pay at the team's discretion. Players must consent before being placed on the list, allowing the NFL Players Association to call Peterson's placement a "voluntary leave with pay." As the name of the list suggests, players can only be placed on the exempt/commissioner's permission list with clearance from Roger Goodell. From the NFL Player Personnel Policy Manual: The Exempt List is a special player status available to clubs only in unusual circumstances. The List includes those players who have been declared by the Commissioner to be temporarily exempt from counting within the Active List limit. Only the Commissioner has the authority to place a player on the Exempt List; clubs have no such authority, and no exemption, regardless of circumstances, is automatic. The Commissioner also has the authority to determine in advance whether a player's time on the Exempt List will be finite or will continue until the Commissioner deems the exemption should be lifted and the player returned to the Active List.
  3. If he gets cut, he will have no income in Tennessee & there will be very few NFL openings.
  4. The problem is that if Araiza had sex with her it's still statutory rape even if he wasn't involved in any of the other stuff. If they have any proof they had sex, consensual or not, he's toast.
  5. He's the Giants only punter & is their emergency kicker.
  6. There are currently 3 teams with 2 punters, the Chargers, Titans and Bengals. Also, when Haack signed with Indy, there were about 5 punters trying out. There might also be a punter or 2 from the USFL who is good enough to bring in for a tryout.
  7. Darnold has the durability of Rob Johnson.
  8. Watched too many games with Drew Bledsoe at QB.
  9. Then how did she call him from the police station without knowing his name & phone number?
  10. There's a list called the Sexual Offender Registry, which if he's guilty & convicted he'll go on.
  11. That's not true. Terrell Prior was suspended for stuff he did in college: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/7040047/nfl-upholds-terrelle-pryor-5-game-ban-cites-integrity
  12. I'm going to do the prudent thing and reserve judgement until more facts come out. A few years ago the Bills had a player who was accused of sex crimes in the off season (I think it was peeping tom) & it turned out he was completely innocent.
  13. Giants: Terminated the contract of WR Robert Foster with an injury settlement, per the NFL transaction wire.
  14. Interesting. Miami opens the season against NE & the new chef at the Dolphins' facility has a striking resemblance to Bill Belichick.
  15. I remember in Josh's 1st 2 seasons people were getting on his case because of his completion % and I'd watch other teams with #1 WRs making plays and thought that if the WR I just watched make the QB look good was on the Bills, nobody would be criticizing Josh. A #1 WR makes things a lot more comfortable for the QB.
  16. Giants: Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to play in the NFL after being cut by the Bills.
  17. So PFF doesn't know what they're talking about. I guess that's not a big surprise.
  18. Makes sense to get rid of Howard. From the OP's attachment TE O.J. HOWARD, BUFFALO BILLS It was notable to see tight end Quintin Morris, not Howard, start in place of Dawson Knox in Buffalo's Week 2 preseason matchup, which Knox missed to be with his family after the tragic death of his younger brother. Next off the bench was Tommy Sweeney. Then Howard got reps. Morris played seven snaps in the first quarter, while Sweeney received three snaps and Howard was on the field for just one play in the opening quarter. It wasn’t ultimately all that shocking, however, since PFF was told by a source earlier in the week after Jalen Wydermyer was released that Buffalo believed Morris was one of their most improved players this offseason. That source believed Morris could push Howard, who was identified as a training camp “faller” for a piece earlier this month, off the roster. Morris, a 2021 undrafted free agent out of Bowling Green, boasts a 77.8 PFF grade through two preseason games. He has good size at 6-foot-2, 252 pounds and ran a 4.66-second 40-yard dash last spring. Sweeney has earned a 73.0 mark, while Howard has garnered a 59.6 grade and has played more preseason snaps than Morris and Sweeney. The Bills would save $2.25 million if they traded or released Howard.
  19. At this point I can easily see Howard getting cut.
  20. It's very easy to get around the 8/31 IR thing by cutting a veteran who is not subject to waivers & then putting Tre on IR & bringing the cut guy back. They did this last season cutting Reid Ferguson & he might be willing to do it again.
  21. Drafted before Beane left Carolina.
  22. These are HOFer Bill Polian's picks as Bills GM. Every GM has his share of misses. Note the misses in bold among the 1st 5 picks. 23. I remember one of those re-draft columns written after the 2018 season had Foster going mid 1st round. This might be a good thing for Foster, instead of getting cut & making no money this season, he'll either make the league minimum or get paid some $ in an injury settlement.
