After Talkin Proud the Bills used "We Can Make It Happen" for a while & then switched to Shout. Back in 1993 the Bills got into a dispute with the owners of the original Shout song & made a new Shout song. They played it in preseason and the fan backlash was so strong, the Bills were forced to pay more money & bring back the old version (Yes, Ralph was even cheap on songs). At the Super Bowl in Atlanta in 1994, the 1st time the Bills scored, they played the wrong Shout song. Then someone gave them the right version later in the game. https://buffalonews.com/news/local/why-the-bills-make-you-wanna-sing-shout-and-no-other-song/article_a9012af4-6d02-11ed-927a-efe30de7d3a7.html The song is probably irreplaceable: In 1993, when the Bills decided it was too expensive to pay for the Isley music, the team briefly replaced it with a redone version of another golden-oldies hit, Ernie Maresca’s “Shout! Shout! (Knock Yourself Out).” Fans revolted within weeks, and “Shout!” returned. We Can Make It Happen went something like this: We can make it happen, cheering on the Bills now. Buffalo makes it happen, climb on the Bills fan wagon. I do believe in Buffalo, I do believe in Buffalo, I do, I do, I do, I do, I do. We can!

1982 was my last year in WNY. I was living in Kenmore, but I couldn't go to the 1st 2 games because I had recently had my appendix out. The 1st 2 games were blacked out on local TV. For the opener, I found a UHF French speaking station that was showing the Bills game, so I turned down the sound & put the radio on & listened to the Buffalo radiocast. The next game was the one above. Whatever the cable company was at the time they imported the game from Syracuse & put it on our cable in Buffalo. So even though both games were blacked out, I got to watch both of them in my apartment. By the time the strike ended, I was able to go to the Miami game. Even though I went to many more home games, the Miami game was my last as a resident of WNY. I left for good that December.

Latest update. A new coach was supposed to come in, but he changed his mind, so they had a player retire & he becomes the new coach. The just fired coach is returning as an assistant coach to help the new coach who until today was a player, but coaches can't play in the league the Empire is in. https://www.outkick.com/antonio-brown-albany-empire-head-coach-change-12-arena-football-maurice-leggett/ With Porcelli out, Brown announced that Iowa Barnstormers defensive coordinator Terrence Foster was to be his replacement. That was on June 1. It was announced on Sunday, three days later, that Foster declined the job. Maurice Leggett was named as the interim head coach. Who is Maurice Leggett? Leggett was on the Empire’s roster as a defensive back until last week. His retirement was made official on June 2, along with multiple other roster moves. -

I knew Terry wasn't going to get through his speech without crying. -
My guess is Epenesa goes for a 6th round pick.

From a 6th round comp pick to the number 1 overall pick. 😄

I just heard on the local news that the Empire fired their coach of 1 week. He was the 3rd coach this season. Edit: On the 11PM news last night they said the fired coach is staying with the team as a "consultant". Edit again: Now he's not staying on as a consultant. Totally gone from the Empire. Note: Every time I turn on Ch 13 News & they do a report on the Empire, the story changes. That's life in Antonio Brown's world where every day something crazy happens. -
This is like when I hear someone is an influencer. What kind of a lemming does a person have to be to be influenced by some stranger on the internet? I vow never to be the influencee of an influencer.

He was only going to play if DeAndre Hopkins joined the team. -
It depends on the individual. Some guys need a wife & kids to settle them down while others get too distracted by family life. There's a big difference between handling the demands of a personal relationship & having a breakup with someone he'd been with for years and then having to go right out & play immediately after the breakup. Realistically, he's not going to have a bad breakup every season right before a playoff game.

I just saw him in Albany. I think he's planning on playing indoor football tomorrow with Antonio Brown, giving the Albany Empire the greatest WR duo in arenaball history. -

Actually, it is the former GM who should be blasted for signing him to an untradable contract. Speaking of said former GM, Steve Keim, I remember a couple of times when a bunch of posters were praising his moves over Beane's: 1st time: Beane gave up so much more to trade up for Allen than Keim gave up for Rosen. 2nd time: Beane gave up so much more to trade for Diggs than Keim gave up for Hopkins. Verdict: Beane 2 Naysayers 0. -

Because this season is a rebuild year in Arizona & they prefer to take the cap hit this year instead of extending some of it to the 2024 season, where they hope to have a better team. They really have no idea how long Murray will be out and how effective he'll be in 2023 (Think Tre White 2022) -
Here are 2 reasons why the Bills wouldn't have re-signed Araiza; 1) Martin got a lot of money & it would be a dead cap hit of $2,265,000 if he got cut before playing this season. So at least for 2023 he's the punter. https://overthecap.com/player/sam-martin/2246 2) Martin is a proven veteran holder. Araiza is still a question mark as a holder.

Giants fans #1 sidekick is Scott Norwood's Super Bowl XXV wide right. What? Too soon? -
I don't get the same MSG as Buffalo, so One Bills Live is rarely shown in Albany. So, since I don't watch the Knicks & Rangers, MSG isn't so great where I live.

That's about my schedule. Sometimes I go 3 weeks. I laughed when I saw the OP asking how many days a week. This week it's zero.

The 2020 line, when D. Williams had a good season at RT, was the best Allen has had, Hopefully, the 2023 line will become the vest so far. One of the things I point to about the 2018 season is that the Bills had a bad O-line & possibly the worst group of receivers on a Bills team in many years. In spite of that, Josh led the team to 5 wins in 11 starts (it could have been 6 if Peterman hadn't been put in the Houston game after Josh got injured) and made a pedestrian WR like Robert Foster look like a solid NFL player. Even as a raw rookie, he was elevating the talent around him. Yes, he made some bad decisions at times, but the good far outweighed the bad (at least IMO).

This shows the difference between fans who don't see the games & rely on stats and those who watch every game. The most critical people in the media were national guys who rely on stats & highlights and never saw a full Bills game in 2018. There were also plenty of fans who didn't like the pick & were ignoring those flashes of brilliance. I remember on another board telling a Josh critic "You don't know how to watch football".

On Jim Kelly's 27th birthday, he had played only 1 year in the NFL and didn't play in a Super Bowl until he was 30.

1971-1971: 1967 Plymouth Fury 1971-1978: 1971 VW Beetle 1978-1986: 1979 VW Rabbit 1986-1988: 1986 Mazda 323 1988-2001: 1988 VW Golf 2000-2010: 2001 Audi A4 2010-Present 2011 Mercedes C300 The only used car I ever bought was my 1st one. It was so bad I never bought another used car again. The only car that I didn't drive until it needed too many repairs to keep was the 1986 Mazda 323. I hated the car & traded it in after 2 years. It didn't help that it was stolen in 1987 & found by the police 2 days later when I was hoping I'd never see it again. The thieves burned out my clutch, left cigarette burns in the seats & broke my steering wheel lock which I obviously had to replace.
