  1. Oh hey a post from 8 years ago. cool! in all seriousness, if Gordon takes targets away from living, breathing players, then it's a positive for us
  2. Like the ancient saying goes, it's a shame we can't just play Miami every week
  3. Yeah most of my coworkers live in the tri-state area. I can definitively say that there is a class gradient between Jets fans and Giants fans.
  4. if daboll decided on that, there would be 3 4th string special teams players running in long slow arcs behind the LoS, with Diggs and Beas blocking in front
  5. I mentioned this in another thread, but on those long balls, and most others, he's throwing off the back foot. Seeing him underthrow is just so strange, it reminded me of Kelly towards the end when he just didnt have the arm to force it long any more, and he would throw these pitching wedge passes that went nowhere
  6. FinHeaven is absolutely paradise today
  7. This passes the eye test. He looks faster, and has maintained the shiftyness. Once the OL gels he's going to have some solid gains
  8. At some point soon, the WFT DL will get their act together. They have a ton of talent, and at the end of last season they were terrors. Let's hope Daboll remembers that he is allowed to call run plays, and that short passes are also ok. Let's try not to put the fate of the team on the OL being able to hold blocks for minutes at a time
  9. He was throwing off his back foot all day. He knows better.
  10. And it seems like it's been that way for a while, years
  11. I'll take one Travis Kelce and one Trent Brown please also a CB2
  12. To South Florida! pass pass pass, now 4th and 1 Huh? what's a punter? Miami week now! "Josh, are you ready to run?" Daboll, calling plays Hard Rock Stadium Veritable Smorgasboard Daboll Eats too much
  13. Dolphins Week Again! Hard fought, very close battle Daboll for the L
  14. The point he makes is that the Bills O has been, frankly, terrible over the last 3 games. 4 TDs in 3 games? I dont see why anyone is making excuses for Daboll at this point, and maybe McD should take over some of the play calling, at least if Daboll cant get his act together, like immediately. Things I hope McD said to dogballs this week: No more planned QB runs. We just paid that guy a ton of dough, let's not get him killed in the hope of gaining 3 yards. We have RBs that can do that. No more slow developing plays. I dont know if it's the play calling, or Josh Allen, but hanging onto the ball forever behind a pedestrian at best OL isn't going to work out. Hey, maybe let's mix it up and throw a few runs in there! And not with the QB! Say, maybe something designed to check an aggressive front 4? If the D is dropping 7 guys into coverage each play, maybe let's see what we can do underneath. Here's a playbook from the Bills glory era, i want you to pay particular attention to how JK used TT out of the backfield, and maybe some curl routes too. You don't have to swing for the fences on every play! A long time consuming drive might be just what the doctor ordered! Anyway you get the idea. 3 of our next 4 opponents have good Ds with strong front 4s. Is Doublestuff going to game plan for our opponents, or for his dream playbook so he can beat his kid at Madden?
  15. You're correct on a technical level that it wasn't garbage time. However, if you were watching the game, you had to know it was over. Nothing in the 2nd half of the Bills performance gave any indication that they had it in them to take control and force the game in their own favor. Pitt was moving the ball at will, and we were busy calling plays like an 8 year old with his first copy of Madden
  16. the way the Bills were playing, both on O and D, and our inability to stop the Pitt O, 10 minutes left was garbage time. The longer that game went, the worse the outcome would have been. I can only imagine the type of zany plays Dogballs would have called if they had another quarter
  17. That's Queens, NYC has a whole extra set of rules.
  18. You're right of course. The other kind of related factor, that seems common to most of the losses during the McD era is that even (especially?) when behind they are just lethargic. Slow getting the play in, slow getting to the line, just no urgency whatsoever. When there is 10 minutes left on the clock, the game is a few first downs from over, they need to start acting like it. The only possibility i can think of is that the D is in such bad physical condition that McD is more worried about making sure they can catch their breath than he is in displaying any urgency on O Talk to a football gambler, they will tell you that almost every football game swings on 5 plays. Given that the team cant afford multiple coaching brainfarts a game. I dont even know how to classify the blocked punt, that was just a breakdown that is inexcusable for a team with pretensions to getting back to the AFCCG
  19. Or, hey, i have a nutty idea, what if we used those guys to help augment our low effort OL? Obviously we can't block 4 with 5, maybe we can block 4 with 7?
  20. He'd probably be stuck in it. you could just stand there and make fun of him
  21. throwing the ball backwards, that's what went wrong the goal is to move the ball forward, Brian
  22. Another problem with Daboll's schemes is that any time there's an RB on the field, it's a run. Some pedant will point out the 15% of plays where that's not true but for the vast majority of plays where there's a RB lined up in the backfield, that's what's gonna happen. Allen & Co aren't good enough to telegraph plays and get away with them
  23. Yeah that play was definitely Daboll's Master's Thesis for his Clown College degree. The committee advanced him.
