  1. Another problem with Daboll's schemes is that any time there's an RB on the field, it's a run. Some pedant will point out the 15% of plays where that's not true but for the vast majority of plays where there's a RB lined up in the backfield, that's what's gonna happen. Allen & Co aren't good enough to telegraph plays and get away with them
  2. Yeah that play was definitely Daboll's Master's Thesis for his Clown College degree. The committee advanced him.
  3. As they say, we could always do worse, like we did yesterday
  4. Daboll is in love with his own cleverness. I expect there's a reason he didnt even sniff a HC job yet. Offensive production shouldn't depend on extraordinary play
  5. imma gonna go on and criticize that one play call.
  6. This is my point. When you have proven playmakers at (almost) all your skill positions, and a really good QB, why are you having a HB throw a ball to an OT, at a critical juncture in the game?
  7. Don't get me wrong, this was a team loss, like virtually all of them are. It was a tale of 2 halves. The Bills squandered their opportunities to go up by more than 10 in the first half, McD got outcoached by an order of magnitude in the second half. Insult to injury that we had a bunch of guys looking like they would rather have been anywhere but in a football game.
  8. what play do you think was called on the 4th down when we were still in the game?
  9. By your handle, i know you've been around a while. WHen you've watched enough games, you know when one team has already ceded the field. It was garbage time because Pitt didnt care if we ran the ball. The whole second half, the Bills were stuck in molasses, from getting the play in, to getting to the line, to getting the play off. The longer that game lasted, the more Pitt would have won by Opposing D Coordinators can assume henceforth that in critical situations, Daboll go to page 973 of the playbook and find the dumbest play possible. It will make their jobs easier.
  10. Most of his yards were in garbage time. I expect if we went in run heavy, Pitt would have adjusted and stopped us there. We're not a good running team, probably the best we can do there is the occasional run to keep Ds honest. We have to get faster at executing regardless of run or pass though, every play yesterday just looked lethargic. The scheme worked against us. The only good plays were a result of amazing individual effort versus good design.
  11. I think this is largely correct, if we can take a dispassionate view. The Bills left way too much on the table yesterday, between bad decisions (Daboll, if you want a crack at a HC gig, stop being too clever by half) and poor execution, this was a game they probably should have won, but ultimately got beat by a better team who were better prepared
  12. We could well still make the playoffs but will end the same way. They're going to have to figure out how to play against a good front 4, because that's what they're going to see in the playoffs. Maybe going to have to invest a high pick on the OL too? Because they're addicted to chunk plays and they dont trust the OL in run blocking. That, and no D coordinator is losing sleep over stopping Singletary
  13. You'll have to show where I said fire anyone. Playoffs would be nice, but everyone expected more this year.
  14. Agreed. I'll keep my hot take of Bills QBs on their second contracts to myself for a few more weeks
  15. We play in a division with multiple solid Ds. The Bills that showed up yesterday aren't sweeping the division. I'm not going to engage in excuse making for this team. They got beat by a better team yesterday, who were better prepared, and had better execution. Whatever halftime adjustments the coaching staff made made the team worse, not better. My fervent hope is that we're not doing excuse making next Monday 'it was hot out' or 'the refs jobbed us' are loser excuses
  16. I mean, i dont consider either team a peer of the Bills, or having been particularly hyped as SB contenders. I havent watched the Titans game so not sure what went wrong there, except that Tannehill has been playing above his station the last couple years, maybe this a regression to the mean. Regarding the Pats, they're going to be a tough game for the Bills. They have some similarity with the Steelers, and I thought Macorkle aquitted himself very well for game 1 of his NFL career.
  17. Good point, both Buffalo and Green Bay appear to be overrated
  18. Elite teams win games at home against peer opponents
  19. Yup, not every D the Bills are going to face is as strong as the Steelers, but now they have a blueprint
  20. Well he didn't throw up enough then
  21. A toxic mix of Allen sucking and terrible play calling. Where were the crossing routes? You've got Beasley, Diggs, and Davis, why not use them?
  22. Too much sniffing their own farts, not enough preparing for the Steelers. This is why i hate when they get hyped in the media, they start to believe it.
  23. Big Ben, of all the people in that organization, doesn't want this moron running his mouth. Expiration date on Ben's career gets pulled way in once some cheapshot artist on the Stillers D ends some opposing QB's season
  24. I hope Josh shoves him into a locker after the game
  25. Yeah i've never understood the tough guy routine, especially from coaches. What does this smoothbrain think is going to happen if Josh Allen gets taken out by a cheap shot? I'd expect every skill player on the Steelers to receive similar if not worse treatment the rest of the game. Who does this guy think he is? GGregggggg?
