  1. Frankly I think Zay has his work cut out just to make the team.
  2. Trump should just come out and say that stormy was a lousy lay and that's why she only got $130K.
  3. The backlash would be huge if Trump does that. The best outcome for him is to be cleared, but it would be understandable if he called Rosenstein and Mueller in and asked them to update him on their findings. If they haven't got squat, fire them both, fire the bad actors in the IC and then issue a couple dozen pardons to all involved (including Hillary and her inner circle) and move the !@#$ on.
  4. Rudy getting out in public is making villains of Mueller, Comey, Rosenstein and other bad actors, and Rudy's pretty good in this role. Mueller and Rosenstein are in a tough spot. They have to keep this thing going for their own credibility, their paychecks, to keep the original cause in motion and to protect a bunch of their cronies. This thing will go on for a long time yet. Comey is a bit of a victim here. He's been less than truthful and deserved to be canned but he got stuck carrying out orders from above regarding both Hillary and Trump and he'll continue to take the fall.
  5. Jurys and judges put people in jail.
  6. How about using punt formation for kickoffs? There are far fewer injuries on punts and it is still a return play with the opportunity for a touchback, fair catch, return or fumble. For on-side kicks, make the kicking team run a fake and gain 10 yards to keep possession.
  7. Yes and Obama ran at the end of Bush who was pretty unpopular along with his party in his 2nd term. Frankly almost any Dem could have won in 2008 IMO. Obama was fresh and charismatic and built a good brand during the primary and election to a country of voters that mostly didn't know him. For those of us in Illinois, however, we knew who he really was and what baggage he brought. He did well to hide a lot of that. Trump running as an incumbent might scare away some candidates who would rather wait until 2024 as it's always tough to beat the incumbent. Even Trump. The dems right now don't have anyone you could call a frontrunner or any nationally well known and respected candidates. Their better known party leadership is ancient. Their aren't any in the senate, house or as governors who are widely known and respected IMO, so 2020 will be someone who steps us as Obama did baggage checked.
  8. I think Booker can be very viable. He's a terrific speaker and communicator and if he stays quiet over the next year or so he can distance himself a bit from some of his hard left past statements and positions. He'll need to adopt a more centrist and rust belt friendly platform than Hillary, Obama and some others. In other words, he'll have to run a bit away from what might be some of his true core values. He's got the presentation skills though.
  9. An angry buffalo in an aggressive stance with smoke coming from its' nostrils and the 4 legs replaced by 4 wheels and tires burning out.
  10. "Experts" would then say, "See, Allen wasn't viewed as a top pick otherwise someone would have taken him way before 16".
  11. They are products of their environments and their brains. Don't know what it is but the artistic brains seem to be more liberal in thinking. Not a knock necessarily and I appreciate the work that many artists do in a variety of disciplines. Writers including journalists are just artists educated by artists. All industries have a culture. The news industry is dominated by artsy leftists and rarely do they have any experience or expertise in the matters on which they report. Much of the reporting on politics is an artist's view on the matter through the artist's lens filtered through the corporate agenda. It's not pretty and just like your local summer art fair, you won't find much you want to take home.
  12. I'm sure they have several "Trump Sucks" stories ready to launch at all times.
  13. Yes, but these are very young men who still have to learn a lot and adapt to a much tougher league. Some raise their game more than others and I would think that is one of the keys to evaluating players. How much do the player personnel people believe that Allen or any others can improve?
  14. Yes, there are a lot of inputs that go into split second decision making. Raw intelligence only goes so far.
  15. The party in power always screws up. In more recent times that is Bill Clinton, W, Obama. In each case the country wanted change at the end of their terms. 2016 was a Republican slam dunk except that the candidates kept it close with their own brands of mediocrity (and I am being kind). 2024 should be a Dem victory but Trump is very capable of shortening that cycle in 2020.
  16. You have to admit, much of fan reaction/opinion before and after the draft is pretty ridiculous. Add the media to that too.
  17. It would be a simpler process if Obama simply handed his to Trump if Trump pulls off something significant and lasting with NK.
  18. 71 pages and counting analyzing and opining about a player who hasn't been to a single NFL practice yet? Wait and see folks and hope that Nate, AJ and Josh all do very well. The Bills may be in the best QB situation since the 90's.
  19. Yes but how significant I don't know. I think that illegal immigration has fueled some animosity toward hispanics and other ethnic/racial groups. Not because they are hispanic but because they are here illegally and drawing wages and benefits often and people rightfully don't like that. Politicians who are sympathtic and after votes (from those also sympathetic) pander and it's obvious and people don't like that either. People also don't like false and exaggerated cries of racism and we've seen a lot of that in recent years and since Hillary and Dems fanned those flames, people don't like that either. That hurts the real cause of addressing racism (where it actually exists). Trump made bigoted statements if you are viewing them through that lens. And there are bigoted voters but we only complain about the white ones even though they exist in all shapes, sizes and colors.
  20. Mostly false. It was really easy to not like Hillary for President and Trump actually had policy positions on fiscal responsibility, national security, illegal immigration and the economy that were easy to support. I don't think people knew very well where Hillary stood on these things and the positions she did express were garbage. That and she was running as a continuation of Obama, not good. A really polished Republican (any gender or race) that would have opposed Hillary and ran on similar to Trump policies only better articulated would have beat Hillary by an even wider margin.
  21. Opinions are great but it'll be a couple years before this draft can be somewhat evaluated.
  22. AJ will do well and will be a great team leader.
  23. Watson probably played above expectations before he got hurt. Sample size is pretty small but very good. Mahomes, too soon to tell Allen, waaayyy too soon to tell. AJ will be the starter this year and if healthy I predict he will be hard to unseat. He'll be better than TT.
  24. He's Jay Cutler 2.0 except he's less of an athlete, less durable and with a lesser arm. He'll be the most likely bust amongst the top 10 drafted followed by shorty in Cleveland. You can take this to the bank with as much certainty as most of the other opinions expressed on this site on the QB decision.
