  1. Look, the country survived 8 years of Obama. It'll survive 8 years of Trump too. It would be healthy for you to let go a little bit and stop getting so lathered up about Trump. Less than 7 years to go. Relax.
  2. Try to keep up. First it was Trump colluded, then obstruction, then a brief interlude about banging stormy, then Trump was spied on and now we're at the IC was protecting Trump and the American people from the Russians. Obstruction of justice is so 2017.
  3. The legal system even for simple matters moves at a snail's pace. Big hairy deals like what could be unfolding here will move even more slowly due to complexity and stonewalling by defendants and their lawyers. This crap will easily extend beyond Trump's first term and could die on the vine if Trump isn't re-elected. Decent chance we never get to a conclusion on much of it.
  4. Lambeau has been renovated recently with a big indoor atrium addition, museum and added seats. It's nice. For a couple hundred million the Ralph could upgraded as well. Might be a good compromise and still provide added revenue and keep the Bills affordable for the fans. The Bills can probably sell a lot more tickets (added seats?) if they can put a winning product on the field. The big stadiums aren't all what they're cracked up to be and you have to fill it with lots of non-football events to justify it. Chicago Bears tickets are very expensive, expensive PSL required for season tickets and parking is $40 and up. That stadium, redone 15 years ago or so is nothing special and it cost $700 million. I'd rather have the Lambeau solution at one-fourth the price.
  5. Run my ass. She'll be mostly in a wheelchair by then.
  6. I think the Bills will keep 3 QB's and he'll certainly be one of them. He's cheap and I don't see a more veteran QB that'll be looking for work in Buffalo after cut down day.
  7. It'll be tough for Nate to beat AJ for the starting job unless AJ gets hurt IMO, but I do think Nate will be a starter in the league at some point in his career, not likely in Buffalo though. Obviously the SD game last year will be hard to overcome in the minds of many including the coaches. He'll have to have some period of sustained improvement before people will have confidence in him and if you don't play it's hard to demonstrate that, but I think he'll get his chance somewhere at some point. Josh waiting a year is not a bad thing.
  8. That he was underutilized in SB XXV. More of #34 then might have won the game.
  9. When you view interactions with people of another race through the racism-only lens, this is what you get.
  10. So these were people engaged in peaceful protests killed by Israeli forces for no reason? Is that what happened?
  11. Prices for mowing have been artificially low due to companies employing below market rate labor and not paying all the typical employment taxes. We're just seeing the correction now. Look at it this way, the unofficial union of American mowers wants a living wage and wants their members to do the work. Does that work for you now?
  12. So that means he might have to pay more than $12 per hour and people might have to pay another $5 to get their lawn mowed. Ah the laws of supply and demand.
  13. Was this dinner somehow bad for the environment?
  14. For anyone that hasn't been to lambeau, save time Saturday to go through the Packer museum there, and brush up on the lyrics to the polka "the bears still suck" for it is played at nearby bars before every game.
  15. Zay has a long way to go especially after the off-season trouble. It wouldn't shock me if he were cut, but really hope otherwise.
  16. My Grandfather had a '64 or '65. Absolute barge of a car but unique with those doors and you'd be the coolest cat on the block with one of those now. Lincoln is likely to re-introduce suicide doors in an upcoming Continental.
  17. To say that the author is reaching a bit would be fair.
  18. Because Obama was never for a growing economy. It happened in spite of him and in spite of his real objectives.
  19. California has become a truly haves and haves-not state and with all the characteristics of that. Very high taxation and cost of living and yet still in very bad fiscal condition.
  20. Yes, $750b. Thanks for the correction.
  21. That's my question, the giant principal and the rising cost to service the debt. I haven't looked at the numbers in a couple years or so but when I last did the average rate at which our debt was financed was something like 1.6%. However, as those bonds roll off we're now financing debt at about 3% and even if those rates stay flat (which seems doubtful) we could be looking at an annual interest cost of over $750 billion in 7 or 8 years. That will likely be a larger expense than Medicaid or possibly Medicare then. It's ridiculous and potentially very problematic. How do you cut that expense? Neither party appears to have the will to make the adult decision to right-size spending (which is mostly entitlements) and keep this annual cost from becoming one of the largest in the budget.
  22. Agree that the QB position now should be an upgrade over last year. Taylor while a lovable character and a great athlete would have had the Bills moving on in the playoffs if he could have mustered any offense against the Jags. Allen should have a bit more upside compared to Joe Webb, right? Peterman as bad as he was in the first half of the SD game is better for having had that experience. McCarron doesn't have to be great to be better than Taylor IMO.
