Kaepernick basically chose another career when he carried on as he did and openly stated that he would continue and would accept the consequences. Except now he doesn't like the consequences of not being able to find a football job so he is suing. Not exactly a man of his word on that one. Also, before you call anyone a racist (including our President) you had better have your facts together even from behind the veil of a computer. That's a strong accusation. If you can't back it up (and I doubt you can) don't say it. So you're saying that the house and senate made changes after 2010 which were discriminatory to some races? Were they law changes and did Obama sign off on them?

No, those players that want to protest or otherwise make their point can call a press conference for when they are not at work and use their celebrity to spread their message at that time or at other places and times. The kneeling players are protesting while at work and in front of their employer's best customers. A lot of customers don't like it so the business owners are now asking their employees not to do that while at work. Work is generally not an appropriate place or time to wage one's personal non-work related protests.

He really is an arrogant prick. I know people like him unfortunately.

She should have retired long ago. Same can be said for many others in Washington. -

It's a shame that this had to go to the SC. Lower courts should have come to the same conclusion, but lawyers don't have to look far in the lower courts for activist judges that are in their corner. -
Agree and to that I say damn the torpedos and full speed ahead. Go through the budget with a fine tooth comb, right size the government and accept whatever are the political consequences. It's never been done. The result might surprise us. Voters might support it just as they did Trump against the opinions and prognostications of so many.

Yes and pols on the right become less interested.

It's been a tradition for decades at sporting events to honor our country with the national anthem. If the fans (customers) don't want it then the organizers can take it out. I suspect however that a significant majority of fans prefer that it's done. The anthem and patriotism help bond us as citizens and with sporting events being among the largest gatherings of Americans, it seems like an appropriate time to honor our nation and nearly every civilized nation on earth does the same thing at their events. As for Kaepernick, he chose a lousy path to further his cause, probably the worst path possible. He should have thought through the potential reaction of customers and employers in his field of work. He should have thought through whether or not it would be a good idea to vent his grievance while on camera at work. He should have educated himself better on what he feels are the issues and been better prepared to articulate the supporting facts. Instead he bit the hand the fed him and failed to move many people to his side. He did succeed in bringing attention to what he feels are issues and he paid a high personal price. He is a big reason why the NFL committed 10's of millions of dollars to social causes.

Lots of interesting opinions here. Nutrition is still a science not fully understood and nutritionists often disagree. More info is always coming forth though and those that are disciplined in their diets can definitely improve their long term health. We all have just 1 body and many of us need to take better care of it.

The media will proclaim that Session's is jumping to Trump's aid because he knows he'll be fired if he doesn't. They'll report that Sessions is violating his recusal. They'll report that the DOJ is nothing more than a bunch of people doing Trump's dirty work in a last ditch effort to save his Presidency. They'll report that only a blue wave in November can save the country from going down the drain with Trump. They'll report that they've been right all along.

Yes, he's sounded like quite the fair minded centrist ever since he announced he wouldn't run for re-election. He's probably got whatever is next for him already lined up and won't rock the boat. -
I don't know how anyone could type that and then actually hit send. Alcohol maybe.

Can we abort this thread. We should have that choice shouldn't we? -
What is better, no guns, or more guns?

Well, one small positive is that the percentage of people killed among shootings has gone down in 2018 in Chicago so far. That could be due to shooters with poorer aim or improved medical response. About 85% of those shot in Chicago are surviving. http://heyjackass.com/ -

Yes. Hate to admit it but I watched the first segment of Meet The Press this AM. They portray Trump's claims that the IC spyed on and had his campaign under surveillance as pure fantasy and then went on to mention that the media missed important stories like Don Jr. having had a meeting in Trump tower with Saudi and UAE emissaries during the campaign. -
Is there any medical research or marketing research to support that? If there is then that would be a business reason to do so.

No I'm saying that the frequency with which we see this in advertising now is due to the ad creators who view their work through the lens of race which is a liberal trait.

PC and inclusiveness. Attempts to appeal to wider audience while being socially hip. Libs dominate the ad agency industry too.
