How is the draft party at the stadium? I've never been to it before but I've got a buddy who has club seats who asked me to tag along with him if I wanted to. I'm leaning towards going

I guess you expect a lot of change when you are talking over the course of 20 years but to me the real scary thing is just how fast 20 years have gone by. I feel like life has been on fast forward ever since I graduated college. One of the cool things about being a sports fan is carrying a sense of tradition and the past with you as you move forward in life

One of the most unexpected major sports stories in years. I have a buddy in Vegas who said everybody in town is going crazy over the Knights...this is great for the sport of hockey and NHL. As a Sabres fan there is definitely a depressing spin to this too

It's become a tradition over the years now to take off Friday from work and go out to the bar with about 8-10 guys from my fantasy football league and catch the draft. Makes it fun because we hang out and socialize in between the picks coming in. I would be too bored having to sit home and watch the draft on the couch. For the next rounds I pay attention to when we are picking and see who we grab and then research on that player but I don't actually sit and watch too much of it.

Fair enough. I'm not upset or anything about it but I guess when I saw that title before I clicked on the thread my first thoughts were Wow he must've really been in a bad place(to a degree we already know whatever happened was very bad but it really could just be the result of a bad reaction to synthetic weed etc..and not related to any depressed or suicidal feelings) but once I saw the tweet itself I was like Ehh...people post that kind of stuff all the time when they are celebrating their birthday so to me the context was different than I was expecting. In any case, I just wish the best for Zay going forward. Can only live and learn, I know I sure did from a lot of things in my early 20s. Life is all about Living....and then learning from the dumb mistakes we make along the way!

His tweet is clearly related to him reflecting on it being his birthday today...maybe that part is semi-related to his incident but I think this thread title is a bit misleading

Something that has plagued the Bills far too long during the drought years were too many "good moral character guys" who don't get in trouble and know how to say the right things but lack the relentlessness the kind of players that want to be great and win championships need to have.

I just watched the 30 for 30 on the 85 Bears the other night and was thinking about how different the game was back then. I still love football but it will never be what it was in the 80s and 90s

Absolutely. I would've loved to grab us a Patrick Willis, Luke Kuechly or Khalil Mack over the years. Everybody is talking about the franchise QB which is true we do absolutely need but if we are going to become a contender we also need to land a franchise game changer on the defensive side too.

Didn't know too much about him but I'm glad he got to see the Saints finally win a Super Bowl before his time was up. RIP

It's watchable/ tolerable to listen to on the radio but I definitely think it's a couple steps backwards from the Mike and Mike show which is what I was expecting going into the change. I find myself not tuning into it as often as I did the Mike and Mike show but I still tune in somewhat frequently in the mornings. I don't think it's unbearable like some people make it out to be.
