  7. I only care about how the Bills draft--taking into account the factors I mentioned. If other teams screw up, that's actually a good thing for us....
  8. Yes, IMO, he does tend to run too upright. It's something he'll have to work on that hopefully won't hurt his vision or effectiveness. The downside of his running style is that it opens him up to more contact, which could shorten his career...
  9. The article is a tremendous indictment of Whaley. Sammy's immaturity and off-field issues should absolutely have been identified in the pre-draft process, especially when the plan was to draft him so high. It's the same thing that happened with the Mike Williams pick under Tom Donahoe. Too much focus put on physical skills, not nearly enough on mental, social and motivational attributes. Thankfully, McD and Beane "get it" in this regard. What's so hard to believe is that in a multi-billion dollar business like the NFL, so few teams seem to understand this...
  10. The Jets make the most sense as a suitor. The only saving grace (as others have pointed out) is that he'd probably like to sign with a contender. The Bills would be a very good landing spot...

  15. Define dangerous? Takeaways? Not the Bills. Sacks? Not the Bills. Most feared players? Not the Bills. Define efficient/effective/playoff calibre: The Bills have to be in the top 3 in the AFC in that discussion.
  16. Long as in looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooog. As the saying goes, he's got a million dollar body and a ten cent head. Hard to fathom how any rookie makes headway in a disrupted training camp scenario (outside of Moss and Epenesa, who play two of the easiest positions to acclimate to). Especially if he's as immature as Adams appears to be. The good news, however, is that immaturity would likely insulate him on a practice squad, which is where I see him headed, assuming he's good enough to even make it that far...
  17. Good blog post on how the virus is transmitted -- and how difficult it will be to open up certain businesses... https://www.erinbromage.com/post/the-risks-know-them-avoid-them?fbclid=IwAR30mZZKdxD2GZRzPkGD6t38qxSpVTGRVdocCkIzIeXAV5rdVtKDBXxbRyc Restaurants: Some really great shoe-leather epidemiology demonstrated clearly the effect of a single asymptomatic carrier in a restaurant environment (see below). The infected person (A1) sat at a table and had dinner with 9 friends. Dinner took about 1 to 1.5 hours. During this meal, the asymptomatic carrier released low-levels of virus into the air from their breathing. Airflow (from the restaurant's various airflow vents) was from right to left. Approximately 50% of the people at the infected person's table became sick over the next 7 days. 75% of the people on the adjacent downwind table became infected. And even 2 of the 7 people on the upwind table were infected (believed to happen by turbulent airflow). No one at tables E or F became infected, they were out of the main airflow from the air conditioner on the right to the exhaust fan on the left of the room. (Ref)

  20. At the least, given McD and staff have a whole training camp to gameplan against a well-known opponent....
