  1. My wife saw the seafoam green suit and asked why he was wearing Miami colors - it did leave me a bit unnerved...
  2. Tua is too low. He's really a pretty solid quarterback (and he has a great receivers) - just not sure how long he'll be able to continue to play.
  3. I can't personally vouch for it, but Pat Moran of Talking Buffalo tweeted at Sonny Red's near the stadium has 50 cent wings on Thursdays - also said they were one of the best wings in the area. Wish I still lived in WNY....
  4. Colts mascot was packin'... Browns, true to their name, makes you ask, WTF is that? Is that what a Brown is? KC looks like a troll doll... Cowboys looks like Howdy Doody (second one just looks like a penis)... Niners is wearing a diaper... Bonus Buffalo is actually pretty cool if you want tough/mean rather than fun/happy like Billy Buffalo...
  5. Learn to cook and make your own meals. I'm amazed at how expensive it is to eat out, even at a place that isn't terribly expensive. I'm also stunned at how much people spend on restaurant delivery services like Door Dash - the food is marked up from normal prices, then you tack on a delivery fee and tip and even your Big Mac meal is over $15. I'm amazed how much money younger people spend eating by not buying and cooking their own food - doing this on a regular basis burns so much money!
  6. When A Stranger Calls (the original - I believe there was a remake) "Have you checked the children?" For a second Brian Dennehy was the scariest thing on the planet...
  7. Knees and sand still aren't a good match - if they were NFL: teams would have sand pits. Your foot sticks in the sand while you're running or you twist and your knee can blow up like it did for Edwards - you don't even need a volleyball or net...
  8. Not going to lie - watching Kaiir run on sand was scary - shades of Robert Edwards...
  9. It is sad when any long term relationship breaks up. We don't know what happened and we never will - while it's always easy to try and blame breakups on someone, sometimes people just decide they're no longer good together - it happens. Public folks are entitled to their privacy like anyone else on such matters. Regardless, I hope the parties get through it OK - I'd hate for this to be a distraction for Josh because in his line of work you have to be all there all the time and the demise of a long term relationship is not easily shrugged off...
  10. Ugh - I would ditch DTV and go to YouTube but they don't have some of the channels I watch all the time - History, A&E, Vice - I'd really have to think if it is worth being without those to go to YouTube TV.... I'll still get Sunday Ticket and my plan was to get rid of the dish at some point - YouTube TV seemed like a no brainer until I saw it was missing those channels...
  11. No option to buy a single team or single game...yet...it appears that YouTube is still thinking about that but hasn't made a final decision
  12. After 40+ years, the Mel Brooks sequel to History of the World Part 1 is finally out - first episodes have hit Hulu. Incredible continuity with the first movie - short irreverent sketches about historical events done in unmistakable Mel Brooks style right down to the Jewish humor and anachronistic references all over the place. Lots of good performances from Wanda Sykes, Ike Barrenholtz and Nick Kroll amongst others. If you liked the first one and/or Mel Brooks you should like this one.
  13. I would think one of he big challenges would be get togethers with friends and family that are not vegan. As previously stated, so many people are vegan today that there are usually some options of you're dining out, but if you're at a family dinner you have to rely on someone cooking vegan or bringing your own food. My mother in law surprisingly went vegan and I try as best I can to accommodate but usually the best I can do a vegetarian - I just don't have vegan ingredients in my house when I cook (dairy, egg substitutes, etc.). Luckily my MIL is cool with that - I think being flexible is key. People who are militant vegans and expect everyone to bend over backwards for them and subscribe to their philosophy on the subject give veganism a bad name - if you're cool about it I'm cool about it - to each their own.
  14. The Jets also told Derek Carr that if he came to NY he'd be a first ballot hall of famer, so the Jets do have a history of being completely insane and living in an alternate reality...
  15. I'm often on a tight schedule with little time between finishing work and having to cook dinner and get kids fed before they have to be somewhere for evening activities. I find cooking in my Instant Pot to be a real life saver - lots of quick easy recipes I can make in a short amount of time. There are endless recipes that include meat, veggies and a starch (pasta/rice/potatoes) in a single recipe that all cook at the same time and they are usually very easy to make.
  16. Boo Boo Kitty weeps... Amazing chemistry with Penny Marshall really made that show - you could put those two in all sorts of crazy situations because they worked so well together.
  17. As a metal guy I understand the diversity within the genre and Meshuggah was pushing the envelope with the incredible drummer Tomas Haake and his ridiculous polyrhythms - Bleed is amazing in the speed and complexity - sounds like an idling engine: On their latest album they have made drums/rhythm the dominant instruments in a genre always dominated by guitar which is really a landmark - checkout Ligature Marks:
  18. I'm really hoping Tre makes it back to where he was pre-injury - time will tell but to this point he's not there. I'm afraid this does not bode well for Von Miller - he's 6 years older than Tre and I question how much he'll be back next season and if he'll ever get back to where he was pre-injury.
  19. Very nervous about this game. Cincy has been playing very well and they are very good at doing some of the things Buffalo has struggled with. They have not 1, not 2 but 3 very good receivers who have all been excellent is catching passes in the open spot in zone defenses - between the linebackers and the defensive backs. Burrow is able to get rid of the ball very quickly and make these 7-12 yard throws and I can see Buffalo just getting killed by these. Losing Von was a big loss - the Bills just haven't been able to get to the quarterback that much, at least not in a hurry. With Burrow's quick release and his multiple options the Bengals are going to move the ball and put up points - they don't need to throw the deep ball. Not saying the Bills can't play well and outscore the Bengals, but unless turnovers are a factor Cincy isn't scoring less than 28 and potentially a lot more.
  20. I have a lot of respect for what Brady has done on the field - love him or hate him it's hard to argue that he's not a first ballot hall of famer. When you consider where he was drafted and the fact that his initial career trajectory was supposed to be a guy hoping to make a roster every time his contract was up and never really playing the contrast to his play on the field is even more impressive. Having lived in New England throughout the whole Brady era I never really saw him mesh with the fans or the community. He did some good charity work with an organization called Best Buddies to benefit people with intellectual disabilities, but he always seems like that guy who kept everything at arms length. He never stuck around in the offseason. He was busy jet setting with his supermodel wife. While the area is loaded with blue collar sports fans he was never close to being with them. I'm not saying he had to become a guy who would show up and drink with the regulars in Southie, but he just wasn't a fit for the community and fanbase. That is one of the reasons I'm so thrilled we have Josh Allen - not only is he a phenomenal and exciting player, but he really fits the Buffalo community. For a guy who signed a quarter billion dollar contract he really seems to be one of us - he gets Buffalo, its fans and what is important to us - he has the same values and seems like a kid who could have come from WNY.
  21. Shows how fortunate Damar was getting immediate aid as well as being young and in world class shape. 54 - very sad....
  22. Gotta say, those docs doing the press conference in Cincy are cool - love to have them at a Bills game sometime!
  23. I wish I could believe this. I have nothing against Tua and I seriously pray for his health and safety. That said, I don't think anyone is looking out for his best interests - not the team, not the league, heck - not even Tua - he's a young guy who wants to play and not have to call it quits after a short career. They'll do whatever is needed to have him playing on Sunday, optics be damned - even if that means shooting him up with meth and horse drugs...
  24. Agreed - I thought Booger really nailed it last night. It's hard being on live TV when there's nothing new to report but Booger made some great points and his perspective was really good. He was saying the things alot of people were thinking and his emotion was real.
