Do you like raspberry flavored things??
Greybeard replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
When something like this pops up, I always wonder, "who was the first person to discover it tasted like Raspberry?" Immediately followed with, "and why?" -
They should have called the awards, the ESPN LAMP'S.

NFL Network: Top Five Bills of All Time

I like to word it as "James was Deion before Deion." Without the mouth of course. -
ESPN 30 for 30 - O.J.: Made in America

Somehow you omitted Robert James. Probably one of the top 5 cornerbacks ever. -
Bills decline to exercise 2017 option for EJ Manuel
Greybeard replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In I believe it was the first game of last year, Taylor had a play almost identical to this. Instead of the DE intercepting, the DE deflected the ball back to Taylor and Taylor batted it down. I wondered what the reaction would have been if the DE was a little more skilled and intercepted the ball. The play would have been virtually identical then. -

Patience grasshopper. Very good site. Wish I would have seen this during the season. Thanks. -
Mike Williams emerges -- (update: Signing with KC)
Greybeard replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For some reason your post triggered an old memory. My friends in the early 70's used to joke about one of the Braves players, who was described by one the Braves announcers at the time as being slow but quick. I can't remember who the player was but he was a starter and had a fair amount of success. Maybe McMillan or Heard? You don't have to be flat out fast to be successful in any sport other than track. -
Too many of our former players went to division rivals.
Greybeard replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Many don't understand the emotional commitment it takes to win in the NFL. You can bet Mario will be committed for the two games the Bills play the Fins. It will make a difference. I believe your expectations are correct. -
Ralph made a bid for the LA KIngs in the 1960's?
Greybeard replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I see Ralph gets lots of consideration for saving the Raiders. -
A Look Back at Marlin the Magician
Greybeard replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can't remember him at QB but as a receiver he was absolutely amazing. He made Dennis Shaw. Most of Shaw's passes looked like ducks. Shaw would toss it into the air and somehow Marlin would come down with it, often our leaping much taller defenders. -

Bucky Gleason: The Pegulas May Be in Over Their Heads
Greybeard replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The rich don't run franchises, they hire people to do it. The difficulty is finding the right people. What defines the right people? They win. More often than not, this is only defined by looking back in time. -
Tyrod Taylor had a quietly spectacular day
Greybeard replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Did Hogan drop that ball or did the CB hold his arms so he couldn't catch it? I don't think the NFL credited Hogan with a drop. -
Must-read for anyone who wants to draft a QB

He may have arrived by then but he would have probably have also been shipped out. -
Report: Peyton Manning linked to HGH, doping ring

He looks like the same Fitz to me. It is just now he is on the other side of the fence, and as they say "the uni's are always greener on the other side of the fence." -

Can we at least agree on this? (Tyrod)
Greybeard replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
On sports forums, this is an accurate statement. -
The ref who tried to make an out of bounds call on the Wadkins touchdown should be fired. He either did not see the play, alhtough he was standing right there, and thought Wadkins was out of bound so made that call or he saw the play and actually thought Wadkins' foot was out of bounds, even though it was 10 inches inbounds. In either case he should not be an NFL ref. I can see throwing a long pass at 2nd and 3, but I really can't see doing it a second time immediately after that at 3rd and 2.

I hate to admit it, but Taylor sucks
Greybeard replied to Doug Flutie Band's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with this over the middle comment. Note how many yards someone like Brady gets on his over the middle passes. So which of the following is the issue. Tyrod can't see over the line, or he isn't tall enough to pass over the line or Roman just doesn't have faith in him passing over the middle? Note if the play extends and there are gaps in the line do to the blocking, he does pass down the middle. But the quick hitter on a crossing pattern is non-existent. -
Colorblind fans watching had no idea what was going on...
Greybeard replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am a bit late the thread here, but I remember not too long ago I read an article of someone who developed glasses that allow the color blind to see color. It may have been in an engineering magazine. Here is a link on a web search. http://enchroma.com/ -
In the last 20 years the Bills have
Greybeard replied to Estelle Getty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Out of all these Buffalo QB's that didn't work, how many of them actually played with a GOOD offensive line? How many of the QB's that are viewed as ok, would have prospered playing in Buffalo? I think at least one of the guys we had would have worked out if they had some pass protection. -
Eliot Wolf for GM of the Buffalo Bills
Greybeard replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
One guy is decent but they are void of the type the Mets have, Although with this years roster, they had what may have been the two best starters in baseball. They didn't score many runs. I think the Giants only lost out because of injuries. Next year they will be tough. I figure they will win the west no matter what happens in the off season. -
Eliot Wolf for GM of the Buffalo Bills
Greybeard replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It usually takes years to become a MLB player. They have a lot of talent coming. Long before Friedman. Are you a Dodger fan? You don't seem to know the particulars. Friedman crapped money all over this year. His deals. What did he get for the National leagues highest batting average player? Although I hope you are correct about him. Rooting for the Dodgers has been a lot like rooting for the Bills/Sabres.
