  1. Yep, but for some holding this view makes one a "hater."
  2. Alright, I think making those kind of distinctions is a sign of intelligence. You think its a sign of bias. Have fun with that.
  3. No one's complaining about the win, so far as I can see. And the Chiefs are plummeting -- losing to the Giants was indicative, so one has to contextualize first in their division.
  4. I didn't say it doesn't matter. I responded to a sorta argument that made Taylor not throwing picks the singular basis for assessing his value.
  5. If not throwing picks is all that matters, just don't throw the ball. Silly, reductionist argument. It's excellent that we beat a struggling team on the road. Doesn't validate TT as anything more than the most adequate qb currently on the roster. Most folks have figured this out.
  6. I think if you are perceived to have a franchise qb, it makes it a lot easier to persuade potential free agents to join up.
  7. I think the difference is hockey drafts 18 yr olds that need years to develop. I think an NFL team can rebuild more quickly, but we are certainly starting with a roster largely bereft of talent.
  8. Most folks would be fine with TT as a bridge qb if we had a plausibe, high draft pick potential franchise qb waiting in the wings.
  9. Well, I mostly agree, but you better use some draft capital or free agency to improve the o-line as well.
  10. No one can reasonably argue with this. I am not confident this regime knows what it is doing. I did not like the Sammy trade or the Dareus trade, but you can't judge a vision before new players are brought in. Lots of new scouts; hopefully, they know what they are doing. I'm really hoping they know how to evaluate qb.
  11. I think you have more of an agenda than you admit or perhaps recognize, but that's fine with me. You bashed Tyrod's awful play against the Saints, so good for you. I don't really care who plays qb this year. I'm not interested in getting into the playoffs as a marginal wild card team in a year where the AFC is pathetically weak. If one does care about that, Taylor makes more sense. I thought Peterman might fit Dennison's offense better, but the oline is so bad you need a fella with Taylor's athleticism.
  12. Sure, and every year about this time, folks start figuring Bills' wild card odds and wondering if we will finally get a qb in the next draft that can play.
  13. They really need to fix the O-line. Tyrod is not a good qb, imo, but he makes the execrable line look better than it is, which is not to say he makes them look good. I don't think it is doing Peterman a service throwing him back out there if they can't protect him. DIfficult to have confidence in this regime, but we're stuck with it so hoping for the best.
  14. That is a nice hockey sweater -- and royal blue is simply the only color the Sabres should rock. Too bad the team is awful.
  15. I would absolutely make that trade, but I suspect Rosen will go #1 overall. I'm not really sure that's enough and if it's the Browns or Giants, I think they just take Rosen.
  16. Implicit in the argument is actually drafting a franchise qb. Obviously, there is risk, but what we have is not good enough.
  17. Don't care about the 5 yr contract. Seat will be flaming, not "a little hot." Giants are almost certain to take a qb and if the Colts aren't sold on Luck returning to health, they may be looking as well. Browns, Cards, Jets, if you go through the league, lots of teams need qb. I agree Bears and 49ers are potential trade partners; Colts, too, if they are okay with Luck.
  18. Depressing analysis going on here and it's difficult to find any room to disagree. I am largely in the both coaching and talent camp. Better hope the new scouts are really good at finding gems and the coaching staff figures out how to coach talented players that sometimes require putting up with rather than trading them off for low round draft picks.
  19. Well, he's not my first choice. I'd rather trade up and get Rosen -- probably not happening. I prefer Mayfield if he falls to us. Jackson has a chance, though, and I'd take him. If Brownies let Hue Jackson go, I think he'd make a fine OC.
  20. He'll likely be available. We should look into it.
  21. That's a solid ranking. Just find a way and get one of them.
  22. He looks like a pleasant, decent fella. As for brights, we'll see, but his Wonderlic score was fairly good and he seems able to read a defense and see the field, which will be a change for us.
  23. Thanks for clarifying.
  24. COT = Cult of Tyrod, I believe. I have consistently thought Tyrod was not a franchise qb and probably really a decent backup. Nonetheless, I was happy when he seemed to play well and prior to the last few games, he exceeded my expectations. I have enough real life problems and have no desire to become embroiled in message board silliness. I like Tyrod as a person. He's just not that good and it appears defenses have figured him out. He is also not really suited for the offense Dennison is using. Peterman fits the offense. The majority of fans are eager for a new face and the second-string qb is always popular until he actually has to play. I think Peterman has an inside straight kind of chance to surprise and I hope he does.
