Don't care about the 5 yr contract. Seat will be flaming, not "a little hot." Giants are almost certain to take a qb and if the Colts aren't sold on Luck returning to health, they may be looking as well. Browns, Cards, Jets, if you go through the league, lots of teams need qb. I agree Bears and 49ers are potential trade partners; Colts, too, if they are okay with Luck.

Depressing analysis going on here and it's difficult to find any room to disagree. I am largely in the both coaching and talent camp. Better hope the new scouts are really good at finding gems and the coaching staff figures out how to coach talented players that sometimes require putting up with rather than trading them off for low round draft picks.

Well, he's not my first choice. I'd rather trade up and get Rosen -- probably not happening. I prefer Mayfield if he falls to us. Jackson has a chance, though, and I'd take him. If Brownies let Hue Jackson go, I think he'd make a fine OC.

He looks like a pleasant, decent fella. As for brights, we'll see, but his Wonderlic score was fairly good and he seems able to read a defense and see the field, which will be a change for us.

COT = Cult of Tyrod, I believe. I have consistently thought Tyrod was not a franchise qb and probably really a decent backup. Nonetheless, I was happy when he seemed to play well and prior to the last few games, he exceeded my expectations. I have enough real life problems and have no desire to become embroiled in message board silliness. I like Tyrod as a person. He's just not that good and it appears defenses have figured him out. He is also not really suited for the offense Dennison is using. Peterman fits the offense. The majority of fans are eager for a new face and the second-string qb is always popular until he actually has to play. I think Peterman has an inside straight kind of chance to surprise and I hope he does.

Certainly, any view of a fella going by SaviorPeterman I take as 100% objective. J/k, I am hoping we found the proverbial overlooked gem. At minimum, Peterman's skill set matches WCO much better than Tyrod's.

The quality of the 2018 qb draft doesn't appear as desirable as it did before the season. Nonetheless, I like the win-win-win scenarios.

I have not watched a lot of Cousins this year. I like his leadership qualities, though I had assumed previously he benefitted from system and a nice wr corps. If he is as good as you fellas surmise, obviously you ought to make a play for him. Lot of teams looking for qb, though. Still like Luck and if Irsay was unhinged enough to unload him below market value you'd have to at least inquire. Taylor has outperformed what I anticipated, but I'd still like to upgrade at the most important position in football.

I did not say anything about trading half your draft so I don't need to defend such a hypothetical. If the cost is prohibitive, it's a non-starter. I stated as a precondition Bills' doctors determining that Luck is actually healthy. I surmise that with a decent o-line and a better defense, Luck would flourish more here than with the Colts. I'd like to see the difference between Luck's contract and what Cousins ends up getting before determining what constitutes a "franchise-crippling" contract. I bet Cousins ends up with a similar deal.
