  1. Wasn't aware of that. I suppose it is timing and context. The dropped TD sticks in the mind. Anyway, I am rooting for him and don't think he's a bust as some here apparently do.
  2. So, certain kinds of religious bigotry and cynicism is frowned upon, but this kind is the sort that is applauded and declared to be a rational assertion, often by the same crowd that is offended if it goes against a protected class. The inconsistency and inopportune stone hands is still an issue, but I think he does enough for the jack-of-all trades role you are suggesting. He really needs to improve the drops though.
  3. I like this one, but I'm biased because I wrote it. Give it a look on Amazon. Sci-fi fantasy retelling of the Noah story.
  4. Well, I think that's right. So Cutler with great character and a natural leader is a pretty good recipe, no? Not proof it will work out, but I like my chances if that's what I got.
  5. Oh, I hope you're not too uncomfortable. Have you had anything to eat? Once you eat the food, you'll start thinking correctly. Then, of course, you'll have to stop hanging out with your friends and family. We only start by asking for 25% of your salary.
  6. I don't think they want to play Jauron Ball long term, do you? You do that with a limited roster and not very good qb play. Daboll is much more imaginative and Allen at least has potential to be a franchise qb. In any event, Astro seemed very high on the current group in his last notes for camp, which is what I was referring to. He appears sold on them in the same way Shaw66 is and you are one of the dark cloud skeptics by my reading. So sorry if I have mischaracterized your position. No kidding. I was indicating who I thought a better polar opposite. I didn't say you said that.
  7. Don't expect any from that fella. Really think Badolbilz is the anti-Astro. Diametrically opposed assessment of the current regime.
  8. Babs even more annoying than Serena. I'm shocked.
  9. Antonio Brown apparently didn't want to come here. Seems to me they made a pretty good effort to upgrade offensive personnel. I rather doubt it is enough, but I don't think they were ridiculously incompetent. Hopefully it's enough for Allen to grow. Next yr there are an abundance of fa wrs and top of the draft wrs to choose from.
  10. Thanks much, stevewin. You do a great job with these. Really like the direction of this team. Gore is going to make everyone better.
  11. That is a possible interpretation and it is not implausible. My take is different. I don't think Josh was third because he is more a work in progress and thus more questionable, though that may be true. I think Josh was the name that enthused him and was the first to come to mind. I think he felt obliged to mention the best young qbs from the class and that's why he quickly mentioned Darnold and Mayfield before going into the substance of his answer.
  12. This sort of thing makes a mockery of real abuse.
  13. Dude, more like 2,340. But maybe. Don't think our wr corps is quite that good, though.
  14. Ahh, personally, I'm sorta feeling the schadenfreude with the kid. I didn't want Emo-boy to hoist the Cup and win the Conn Smythe; don't want Entitled to prosper with the Hawks. He'll probably kill it now . . .
  15. Allen is smart and he works hard, so I see no reason why he can't get the processing time sped up to make the quick decision throw, but until he actually does it, it's still in question.
  16. Moses is the fella that led folks out of Egypt. Favre, Elway, and LSHMEAB's variation on Rivers are good comps.
  17. If McCabe is dealt, does this mean likelihood is Risto stays? Whether he wants to stay or not, I'm not dealing unless the return is big.
  18. Fella who posts over at the Sabres hockeybuzz site who sometimes gets a thing or two right is saying there might be a trade with Florida. He's hearing McCabe, E-rod, and a pick for Hoffman. Grain of salt and all that.
