He'd be a perfect complimentary #2 back to DS imo, but the knees are a concern.

Claypool or Pittman would be nice adds. -
Taking BPA Literally - Mock Draft Style
Dr. Who replied to RocCityRoller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
OP set up a criteria of choosing the putative BPA at the pick regardless of need. Results in a ridiculous draft, but the premise was not built on plausibility. -
We are looking at Melvin Gordon according to this tweet
Dr. Who replied to Buffalo03's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think that is generally true, but picking up assignments on pass blocking is often a problem for rookies. -
Wonder if Jerry Hughes is just excited or....Tweet 5m ago

Yeah, that's a need too. Need some youth at the position. -
I'm still one of those who would like to add him. I think he'd be very, very good in our D.

I agree with this. Hooper and Conklin were my top free agent targets, though I love what we've done in free agency and the trade for Diggs. I think it's very important for Josh Allen's development that we got a #1 wr who does not need time to develop. It seems evident they have more confidence in Ford than many fans. I hope they are right, of course. It would be foolish not to pick up at least one wr in this deep draft class. If Shenault falls within range, I can see a trade up. If not, I'm hoping for Pittman, Claypool, or Tyler Johnson. And just to add my mini-crusade -- Rodrigo Blankenship ought to be on our radar for a day 3 pick. -
Bills sign LB Tyler Matakevich on a 2 year deal $9m

Yes, I know. Just providing an optimistic counter to your original. Tangentially, but related, I kinda hope we draft Rodrigo Blankenship in the later rounds. -

Kicking off. -
I don't think most folks judge Diggs only marginally better than Brown. If you are correct, it's an overpay. I think he's considerably better and effectively makes everyone better by slotting them into correct roles. Brown is a very good #2, a marginal #1. I dunno, is this a shot at the get off my lawn crowd? I just defended the trade, now get off my lawn

Bills trade for Diggs - jw no discussions on a restructure

Think Diggs personality and Josh's are a perfect match. -

I dunno. Seem to be agreeing with Scott Law a lot recently. Maybe I better go get tested for the beer virus. -
Justin Jefferson should be our WR target at 22

I don't think Higgins is a bad pick, though I really hope Beane trades up for one of the top three. Don't know if opportunity and cost will make that possible. If you are picking between Jefferson or Higgins, who do you take? Also, do you think Claypool is there for our second round pick? Really like that fella. -
This is the year to trade down and pick up multiple Day 2 picks
Dr. Who replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A lot depends on if you think the top three are elite and truly distance themselves from the next rung of receivers in a deep draft. If not, wait for Jefferson, Higgins, etc. Imo, WR1 is a key to Josh Allen's continued development and significant improvement on offense. You're not getting one in FA and then it's a question of whether any of the rookies are likely to break out quickly. If Beane determines Lamb is the next Julio Jones, for example, I expect him to be aggressive to move up. I personally like the fella and am inclined to take a shot, but I'm no expert. -
Possibility of trading up to #16 (Atlanta)
Dr. Who replied to Dkollidas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Ruggs is absolutely worth trading up for. If they do, they do need to bring in a big as well. I'm hoping, though I don't know if one could plausibly do so, to nab one of the top three and Claypool. Few folks on here, Gunner is one of them I think, compare Claypool to Jimmy Graham. -

It's really a ridiculous ask. Don't see anyone coming close to offering that kind of payday. The value is better later in the draft, imo, though as an UGA fan, I'm partial to Swift. Really think we need to focus on WR1 first round even if it's a deep draft at the position. I'm hoping we make a move for one of the top three because I think they have elite potential. Ruggs and Jeudy already know Daboll's system and Lamb may be the best of the bunch. -

I'd rather add a rookie and not pay Gordon. I think you can get a good complementary back day 2 or 3. Fella like Dobbins may slip to the third round, for example. -
I am still obsessed, and will always be that way.

Boo Cynthia Freelund. Trade up for Ruggs. Find a way to add Claypool as well. FA for Edge and Oline.
