Voted for Trump because Hillary. I had my qualms because I didn't care for Trump's boorish persona. Now I actually think Trump is more substantive and decent than I gave him credit for and the opposition is flat out totalitarian awful. I am voting in person; will wear one of my Buffalo Bills masks (in Georgia.)

I argued for Mahomes and Watson his draft year. There was a fella (Jeffismagic) who got banned for crusading for Mahomes. I liked Allen and Darnold the next year. Allen was a gamble, but I had a gut feeling. No way to know what effect sitting for a year had on Mahomes. He may have been great right out of the gate. We know, however, that the route they took resulted in a stellar qb.

Yeah, I think we would have been better, too, but don't forget that Mahomes benefitted from a redshirt year as well. Allen is going to be very good, so all's well that ends well.

I think what you are talking about is actually a counter-history as it involves a non-historical narrative, the sort of thing game theory and possible worlds contemplate. Historical revisionism takes an actual event but then alters the perceived narrative by allocating motives, effects, and judgment differently. It's like turning Christopher Columbus into a villain once one has adopted a quasi-Marxist, anti-patriarchal prism as what will define what is significant. Mahomes as a Bills qb is squarely in the counter-history realm and no one knows, but I seriously doubt he would have had the same level of quick success for reasons you outlined.

Nah, Seabiscuit comes on here all the time expressing skepticism about Josh because 1) his college numbers are just abysmal and 2) he is suffering from attachments in the past and has repudiated homerism and 3) he's just plain ornery. I don't know if he's been allowed out of his paddock recently, as I don't recall his opinion in light of Josh's apparent leap into franchise qb status. Nonetheless, I vote for either Mr. Ed or Secretariat.

Folks that can say Kamala Harris is a moderate with a straight face aren't going to be impressed with evidence the polls are skewed to over represent Democratic voters.
