Week 2 Bills @ Dolphins PreGame Thread
Dr. Who replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Except that God is not a finite being writ large, so Divinity can handle sustaining the universe and anything else. Of course, this is not a forum to discuss theodicy or metaphysics and I would not normally have responded. However, calling out a fella for a brief, pious expression of prayer for the home team is pretty lame. -

I was making a loosely allusive play on Michelle Obama's recent convention speech. Naturally, there are exceptions, but to make precise judgment involves a more lengthy discourse. Pithy expression is nearly always necessarily broad. -

When a Democrat is telling you to take the moral highground, they are asking you to make a tactical mistake for the applause of the corrupt media that is, of course, a reliably leftist megaphone. When you go high, they go low. When you play smart, they go lower. When they go really low, they call it high, because the left has its own sharia law where evil is okay if it results in liberal power. -

As you know, probably, Vegas odds are not predictive. They are designed to make money for Vegas. Trump is a much more likely winner, though if one factors in the Democratic machine tactic of rampant mail fraud on steroids and the anticipated soft coup of lawyers, Facebook, and the usual media shenanigans on behalf of the fascist left, the odds in fact become harder to pin down. -

Eh, I think the really interesting thing would be seeing Amy Barrett nominated and put on the Court to replace RBG. It will be compelling to see the totalitarian left try to skewer a supremely qualified candidate as a religious zealot. Racist will be difficult since she has two adopted Hatian children, though I am sure they will try. Maybe since they are the children of a conservative, they are not really black. Barrett is in the mold of Scalia, so this for the Left makes her a Nazi, though their own juriprudence exemplified by RBG allowed and allows the murder of millions of the innocent unborn. Personally, I think they will and should push the nomination through before the election. -
Because humanity is often not very nice. I love Allen. After years of game manager qbs, we finally have a fella with a cannon, wheels, and moxy. He throws beyond the sticks on third down. He has Favre's enthusiasm for the game with more humility. He's eager to learn and so far has shown improvement every year.

Pretty much everyone thinks he needs to clean up the fumbling problem and many have suggested he talk to someone like Tiki Barber who overcame a propensity to lose the ball. Regards a prior comment you made about Josh holding the ball. Seems to me it depends on if he is holding the ball longer because he is having trouble reading the field or if he is holding the ball longer because he is waiting for something to open up and he knows he can throw late with his cannon and get it there. The latter may be somewhat reckless, but it can result in a big reward. The former is something you want to go away as your qb matures obviously.

MMQB: Why the Bills are where they are

Another way to ask it: say this team puts up 27 points every game. Is that team finishing 8-8? Not very plausible. -

As I'm sure you are aware, when folks disagree, one person's explanations are another's excuses. I don't think folks who think Allen is on the way to becoming a franchise qb ignore mistakes or the need to improve. I therefore don't agree that only rainbows, butterflies, unicorns, etc. are allowed. In my opinion, there are skeptical folks who remain insightful and in the range of rational opinion. I distinguish those folks from those who clearly have an agenda. But it's a message board. Everyone puts in their two cents and each person has to decide who is worth attending to and who is not. -

You responded in the context of an article. Other folks didn't read the article, but are responding to the message board context of a group of posters who like to scrutinize every bad pass or mistake Allen makes, often because they have embraced a narrative where Allen is not very good. You, yourself, are fine. Just let it go. In the end, you and 716 and most rational folks are on the same page. -

What do you expect out of our offense game 1?
Dr. Who replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The no second contract Josh folks are out in force with their usual insight. I expect some uneven play because of no preseason games and the strangeness of the post-Covid world. Still think there will be some explosive plays and the potential for the offense will be evident. Those who continue to paint Allen as a glorified running back will be eating crow by the end of the season if the league doesn't shut down. -
Happy Birthday!

He's sleeping with the fishes . . . actually, he was a strange fella that took umbrage one day at the lack of appreciation for Josh Rosen or the bot checks ran out or something equally obscure and just stopped posting. For a while he was hanging out on a Sabres' site, but no one cared about Josh Rosen over there, either.

United We Stand ...
Dr. Who replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Well, yes, except that the quasi rebellion was also a sanctioned covert coup attempt by the party in power to subvert the incoming President because opposition party. Call it what you like, totalitarian, banana republic, community organizer spite, it was immensely more corrupt than anything related to the hapless Nixon administration, derived from endemic partisan disdain for law or the well-being of the putative republic at the highest institutional levels. And yet, that sanctimonious ass Obama continues to lecture and brow beat, chastise and condemn traditional Americans and the actually competent President who replaced him because the virtual monopoly of leftist dim that dominates mainstream and social media, academe, and Hollywood guarantee that if you have a D after your name you are never going to be held accountable or subject to any degree of rational scrutiny for hypocrisy, criminal behavior, or the slander of people you just don't like.- 41 replies

Absolutely horrendous asset management if they let him go for nothing. It's not true that he has no value.

Gunner's roster thread.... 2020 style - UPDATED

James Coley was ineffective as OC last year for UGA. He was replaced by Todd Monken. Jim Chaney was OC Fromm's first two years when he had more success. -
