Week 18: Jets at Bills - a W wins the AFC East!
Dr. Who replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the concern is you seem to be penalizing the winning team so that they lose a day of preparation for the next game. -

I don't know, but it sure seems like a good idea. Hopefully he's the sort that can handle both duties. -

I'm rather partial to Glenlivet, but I like your style of doctoring. -

Scots are very cautious folk . . . I believe the punter is known as the Scottish Hammer. The actual insurance element is having a punter on the practice squad in case you need to have a competent punter available should your starter suddenly become unavailable. -
Panthers Willing to Listen to Offers for McCaffrey

I like the idea of using him as a slot receiver, but because of his high cap cost, I wouldn't offer a premium pick. -

I hear he's Scottish . . . it's a Covid insurance thing. -
Dome or not, I hope this happens.

I like your posts Nanook, but it seems to me the recent home game against Pats* somehow turned out to be advantage black hats, though perhaps that was coaching. I think they held Allen back. Still think if you have an elite offense, optimum conditions favor your team. Also, the older I get, the less I like to freeze. Logic posted some designs that cut down on the wind, which is a fair compromise, though I take it you would be opposed to this as well.

Bills have underperformed this year by 2+ wins
Dr. Who replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's all about the playoffs. Bills have as good a chance as anyone and if they play their A game, they win. -
I guess there are still folks who watch the Academy Awards. Others write them off as a bunch of preening narcissists who collectively endorse the work of the like-minded. Anyway, a certain amount of subjectivity is allowed. There is a tilt point, however, after which merit wars with tribal allegiances and the whole thing becomes irrelevant except to those who are part of the clique. Objectively, I think Rodgers should get it as the success of the team is normally factored in.

Alright, Mr. Happy Thoughts, there's the hard-nosed folks who are going to respond "you are what your record says you are," but I do think this implies the Bills are stronger than their record. The Titans are annoying, because they seem to win most of the close ones. Hopefully they retreat to the mean in the post-season. -
Pretty much all you do is post Titans' propaganda. You know they have their own board.

Atlanta Flames was a great name, logo. Calgary Flames, not so much. So, white lazy thieves and Canadian to boot. -
I live near Athens, GA so I'm never going to be a season ticket holder. That said, I think Orchard Park and a Dome is the best combination. PSL's are standard nowadays, but the whole idea seems immoral to me, so I don't agree to any of it. As close to zero would be my preference.

Just because everyone does it now doesn't make it less asinine. But money justifies everything, that's our ethics and the height of intellect I guess. -

Annual Way Too Early Mock Draft '22 edition
Dr. Who replied to thunderingsquid's topic in College Football
Love the James Cook pick (but I am biased UGA fan.) He's a playmaker. Think George Pickens is a big WR with a lot of talent who may fall because of injury keeping him largely off the field. Penning is a strong choice, but we'll be picking #32 -- why not optimism, it's possible? -
More clutch plays last year, I agree, though he had three in the last drive at NE.
-
Factor in an abundance of bad weather games and oline struggles. I think he's a more mature player with room to grow.
-
Maybe he'll bring Trubisky with him. That would be ironic.
