Don’t think many did. I was thinking and saying no way we have the cap space to pull this off. Cant wait to see how we did it.

“Chandler Jones money”. Don’t believe the Bills have that cap space even with restructuring. 8 million over the cap now and have a lot of holes to fill.

Beane won’t let that happen. I do want a big name player, or two if that helps get us over the hump. Probably would take more than two. Just don’t see him doing it. People ask all the time, would you rather have had the one Super Bowl, or all 4 plus the fun that went along with watching those teams? A lot of people pick longevity. I expect a competent team that will make the playoffs, Beane will sign and draft those guys. It will be a great team to watch. I just hope some of our young defenders mature and become somewhat the players we were looking at free agency for.

Nope. Would take a lot of maneuvering to get space to make a big move. Have some big ticket items coming down the pike in Knox and Poyer. Maybe Edmunds. Heck, Tarron Johnson is a cap hit of 9.25 million next year!

The problem is the cap. Don’t have the $$$ to make the big moves. Don’t see Beane mortgaging the future.

Welp. At least I don’t have to keep looking for updates. Had hope he was waiting for us to clear cap space. Guess not. Wondered how we could fit him under the cap anyways. Disappointed we didn’t land a game changer yet in FA. Need to land a few or I feel we may lose a step next season. Other teams, especially chargers seem to have improved greatly.

Seeing this stuff makes my happy knowing we landed the right guy in that draft. Josh is a generational talent and generational team guy.

Pretty sure it wouldn’t be a problem for Daboll and company if TT unseats Daniel Jones and becomes a bridge QB.

Feliciano played well until this year. Injuries this year certainly slowed him for sure. Phillips must have done something right to get the contract he did.

Gotta have both. Hope the cap allows for the couple of signings we need to push us over the top. My concern is the they can’t lose the locker room by allowing guys who have performed to get their money elsewhere. Yeah, this years free agency has shown guys just want the money. Some going from good teams to bad to follow the contract. Just feel this team is built different. Feel they are all about the team aspect and playing for each other. We will see.

There is a lot of FA signing to be done and I hope the Bills land the couple of guys they need to push them over the top. They need to gain ground to get past the other AFC powerhouses. I know the cap is a problem, but gotta figure it out. Me concern seeing what they have done so far is losing core locker room guys. Feliciano, “Horrible” Harry were considered locker room guys. Yeah, you may sign cheaper dudes that play at, or exceed, the level of play of whom they are replacing. But chemistry is a huge part of a team. From the top guy, to the last guy on the roster. Still have many of our own to tender or sign. The cap is a problem for them this year in having the ability to sign the big names. The cap will make a nice jump next few seasons, and either they use that money now or wait until the next few years.

Speculation is he was one of the guys to reportedly reach out to the Bills. Other guy was Chandler Jones. Wonder if the delay in signing of these guys is the Bills working on clearing cap space?

Players will largely take large paydays versus go with a proven winner. Ie: Fatukasi and Scherff leaving bad teams to go to Jax..a perennial loser. Would love to see a Jones or some other good player take a discount to join us. We will see.

That’s a lot of turnover if we don’t get them back. Some can go, some need to be resigned. Either way, a lot of money we don’t have just yet.

So, that frees up enough money to sign a draft class. More moves to come for sure. Need to free up big money if we have any thoughts of signing Harrison Philips, or any one of our numerous free agents. Or whoever takes their place on the roster. Let alone going after big name FA’s. Lots of big moves coming.
