  1. Ok, but Chubb has all the leverage and won't be cheap for a "pretty good" player. The Bills got Von Miller and didn't give up draft picks.
  2. Dolphins got better, but I'm not sure they got first-round-pick-for-a-half-season-rental better.
  3. So, we should post random, speculative trade scenarios because they have just as good a chance to be traded to the Bills than those reported by legitimate sources? Cool. I heard Panthers might move OT Ikem Ekwonu to for mid-round picks. Get it done, Beane.
  4. Every year folks post blatantly false reports. It's easy to stick with the most reliable reporters.
  5. Perhaps the Bengals are not a playoff lock.
  6. IMO, the Jets defense is playing at a legit, playoff caliber level. However, the offense, especially after the loss of Hall and Vera-Tucker, is terrible. Wilson may be the worst starting QB in the league and seems to have regressed from a weak rookie season. Unless Wilson steps up against the Bills, I think he'll be benched for Mike White in an attempt to save the season. I believe the Bills offense could have a tough time versus the Jets defense, but it might not matter if the Bills defense creates turnovers and punts, which will allow Buffalo to wear down the Jets defense. 24-10 Bills
  7. Nope. I think the Jets have a very good, playoff caliber defense, but the offense is a mess and could spiral the team out of the running. Their saving grace is a schedule that has them at home versus Bears, Lions and Jaguars. They almost need to win this week versus the Bills to get to 9-10 wins necessary to make the playoffs. Remaining away games are at Pats, Vikings, Buffalo, Seattle and Miami.
  8. Current playoff standings: 1. Bills 2. Titans 3. Chiefs 4. Ravens 5. Jets 6. Dolphins 7. Chargers 8. Bengals 9. Patriots 10. Colts IMO, it's a good bet that the Jets will fall and the Bengals will get in. If so, we could have a VERY competitive first round. I think the Chiefs would be the heaviest favorite but it might be less than a touchdown.
  9. Yeah, looks like I erased them. Meant to have them above the Chargers as Seattle beat those two teams. They have pretty "soft" schedule and could win their the division, but I'm not yet convinced they will reach a higher tier.
  10. I don't think Minnesota is better than Cincy, and might not be as good as the Ravens and Titans. My tiers: - Bills - Chiefs - Eagles - Dallas - Cincy - San Fran - Dolphins - Minnesota - Ravens - Titans - Seahawks (Edited) - Chargers - Giants - Packers - Bucs - Rams
  11. Pats fans must be dying. They can still win but only because the Bears are terrible.
  12. How is Fields a starting QB? There is zero confidence in his arm or decision making. His throws are ridiculously bad.
  13. Anyone have a formula for the Bears to beat the Pats? Seems unlikely. Bears may be one of the worst offenses I've ever seen.
  14. Alijah Vera-Tucker will miss the rest of the season with a torn triceps. That might hurt more than Hall.
  15. Big, but not strong. Low character, doesn't work hard, and has very few football instincts. Maybe Steeler fans most disliked player.
  16. McD was "suppressing" Allen? McD switched to the run with a 1 TD lead? The "players" influenced McD? What the &**%$ are you talking about? This premise is ridiculous.
  17. Impressive. If the Broncos have a good defensive game versus the Chargers, they deserve a #1 ranking. (I don't think that happens . . .)
  18. Nance and Romo have gotten way too chatty on side issues while there's action. Romo is much better when he's concentrating on in-game developments rather than going off on hero worship.
  19. The line has certainly not regressed. They are not at all "dominant" but most likely in the Top 10. The running game has moved up to "average," which was about the same or better than all of last year. The improvement might be due to moving toward more pin and pull blocking techniques and the pressure rates have improved. This is likely due to the starting five have actually played together the past two weeks. And just as important, over the first six weeks, most if not all of the opponent DLines are probably within the Top 10 in the league.
  20. I can't even remember why Baker was a #1 pick. He had a very good college career in a QB-friendly system, but what did the scouts think he did so well? Was his comp Russell Wilson? Even as a rookie, I thought, "What skills are intriguing?"
  21. IMO - - Stevenson is fast but doesn't play fast, nor does he have good WR skills. I doubt he ever sees the field again. - When McKenzie returns, Hodgins probably goes back to the practice squad. - I think McKenzie and Shakir split time 50/50 unless one of them emerges as the guy.
