  1. There's a lot to like but I wonder if we should temper our expectations. I'd be more comfortable if Elam and Jackson fought it out for CB2, but Elam is likely to start the first month regardless of how ready he'll be. Araiza should easily take the starting job, but it will take time to adjust to the WNY weather. No need to rush all the others.
  2. Overall, I think the Defense will be Top 5 in scoring and other metrics, but it might take a few games to gel. Tre White might not play for the first month, Dan Jackson might play against WR1, Elam is a rookie and the DLine might need a few weeks to figure out the right combinations.
  3. May as well post: "I have no understanding how this Bills regime works."
  4. It may be more likely they'll draft a QB next year.
  5. For one, the Bills by design. Two, the Panthers under McDermott. There are quite a few good defenses that don’t have top end draft picks at CB.
  6. Because they are pretty starters. However, Linemen tend to get dinged up, and right now the Bills backups have a significant talent gap.
  7. You may be aware there are six additional rounds. And what happens if Saffold (32), Bates (never started more than 4 games) or Morse lose weeks, or months? The current depth is not comforting.
  8. There’s a good chance that Zion is rated much higher than whatever CBs are on the board.
  9. OL. Not enough depth if starters miss significant time. After Jameson Williams, Zion Johnson might be my top choice amongst realistic choices.
  10. Zion Johnson, Green and Lloyd at LB are definite possibilities. Could see the Bills playing a lot of 4-3, and Johnson and Greene could play a lot if starters get hurt.
  11. I don't know one reporter who doesn't believe that the Bills LOVE Edmunds and will do everything possible to sign him longterm. I personally believe there is a much greater chance Poyer is traded for his replacement than Edmunds.
  12. I think Moore would be a nice addition. But if we've learned anything, the Bills do not leak information.
  13. This may be the most comfortable I've been with a draft. Other than the glaring hole at CB, just about every other pick allows the Bills to provide added depth. Personally, I believe the Bills will have a veteran CB on the roster by draft day, which could provide further flexibility. If the Bills took three CBs, three OL, and the punter Araiza in the 3rd, I think I'd be perfectly fine.
  14. It makes no sense. First, Bills would need to assume Gardner is a can't miss prospect. Second, that Gardner is THE key to a Super Bowl this year. Third, there are no other good options at CB (even by the third round) Fourth, the Bills have exhausted all other options to give up a 2023 first and third for other assests. On the surface, none of these can be reasonably considered true.
  15. This a creative way to start another Edmunds rant. "We need a guy like Jerry Hughes who had a lot of costly penalties." Way to sell your point.
  16. Horror stories? Like what? I grew up outside NYC and visit often. I have never had a problem.
  17. I believe Tyler Smith will play for 10 years and be a perrenial pro bowl contender. Walker will likely be a "fine" RB for a few years.
  18. I believe you could have a high degree of confidence yet worry about every down, let alone every game.
  19. Gilmore is one of a long line of maligned players that did not deserve hate from fans. One of the great CB in the league and some fans never appreciated his talent.
