  1. Took three quarters for Bosa to remember to set the edge. He looks like a guy who hasn’t played in a while.
  2. Your turn. So tell us which coach is going to guarantee greater success? You have to assume the whole coaching staff goes. What about Beane and the front office? Do they escape your wrath, or is that too inconvenient?
  3. The Eagles fired Reid and won a Super Bowl with his successor. - Reid was fired in 2012. You may have forgotten the Chip Kelly fiasco. The Eagles didn't win the Super Bowl until 2017. Five years. Titans fired Jeff Fisher and hired Mike Muncheck. That was a disaster. Bengals fired Marvin Lewis and the team fell apart. The good news is they were so bad they got Joe Burrow. Chargers fired Marty Shottenheimer and they have never been as good. Bears fired Lovie Smith and they haven't been good since. No doubt there are more. Continuity isn’t everything… but it’s not nothing. And the cost of guessing wrong can be wasting multiple years of a franchise QB’s prime. Your turn.
  4. I'll bite: Who do you have in mind for GM and a Coaching Staff? What if Josh doesn't want a change?
  5. Sure, we can all agree that the defense has come up short in the playoffs — especially in the biggest moments. But let’s not pretend that these losses were blowouts or coaching disasters from start to finish. Every playoff loss under McDermott, except one, came down to a handful of plays. The margins were razor-thin. A couple of missed tackles here, a coin flip there, a coverage breakdown, a failed 4th down — and suddenly we’re rewriting the whole legacy? Yes, the defense didn’t hold when it mattered most. That’s fair criticism. But what seems wildly unrealistic is the idea that firing the entire coaching staff and front office is some magic reset button that guarantees we land in the Super Bowl. That’s just not how the NFL works. Plenty of teams have chased that dream — blown it up, hired the next genius, and ended up in years of mediocrity, wasting their elite QB’s prime. We have no guarantee that a new staff would take us higher. And the chances they take us lower? Just as real, if not more. McDermott and Beane aren’t perfect, but they’ve built a perennial contender around Allen. They’ve given us consistent playoff appearances, top-tier rosters, and a chance every year. That’s not something to toss aside lightly. Yes — some teams have won it all after making bold coaching changes. But for every team that succeeded, there are three more that spiraled. We might not like hearing it, but stability and continuity still matter. If we’re going to criticize the defense (fair), let’s also acknowledge reality: this team has been inches from a Super Bowl — multiple times. Changing coaches might help… or it might set us back years. Are we willing to bet Josh Allen’s prime on that gamble?
  6. "Rumors" are rumors. None of this actually happened. That's a fact.
  7. This post is a word salad and has no relevance. You may want to giggle ChatGPT. But, and hear me out, they didn't.
  8. Josh Allen wasn’t some obvious superstar waiting to be unwrapped. He was the riskiest quarterback in the 2018 draft. Go back and read the scouting reports — they practically scream buyer beware. “He misses too many easy throws. Inaccuracy is a major concern.” – NFL.com, 2018 “Allen is a project. He could be great or be out of the league in five years.” – Bleacher Report, 2018 “Statistically the worst QB in the class.” – PFF Draft Guide, 2018 The Bills' fan base was split, at best. Some were cautiously optimistic. Most were terrified. He didn't even come that close to winning the starting job. After 2018? Plenty of fans thought we had drafted a bust. 2019 was better — but not enough to shut people up. The questions didn’t go away. Then came 2020 — and that guy? The MVP-caliber, laser-accurate, field-general version of Allen? Nobody saw that coming. Not the media. Not the fanbase. Not even the Bills, if we’re being honest. So no — we don’t get to rewrite history and act like this was all part of the plan, or it would have happened under another coach. Josh Allen and the Bills beat the odds. He worked his ass off. And the Bills’ staff pulled off one of the great modern QB development stories.
  9. See above. It's amazing how people just suppress what happened from 2018 to 2020.
  10. You can’t be serious. Some folks must have a severe case of amnesia. When Josh Allen was drafted, this board — and the fanbase — were nearly distraught. Nearly every expert highlighted his major flaws: shaky accuracy, poor decision-making, raw mechanics. He was the definition of a boom-or-bust pick. There was deep skepticism that he could ever harness his physical tools into something consistent. When Allen actually developed into a good quarterback, nearly everyone was stunned — and the Bills’ coaching staff was treated like miracle workers. Let’s not rewrite history.
  11. Man, are you fragile. Your arguments are so weak. It's as if you want to completely separate Allen's development and the team's success from Beane and McDermott. It's like arguing Allen would have become elite without any input or design from McBeane and that Josh magically puts the team on his shoulders. It's borderline pathological and makes no sense. The front office and the coaches have made plenty of mistakes, and perhaps (perhaps) some other coach and GM could have done better, but you or I have no way of knowing. All I can do is present that they have put the team on the cusp of a Super Bowl, and for that, I give them credit where credit is due.
  12. NFL history is littered with examples of good talent going to waste due to poor coaching. I think there's a lot of evidence to suggest that McDermott, Beane, and Allen were ideally suited for each other. It took a very good staff and GM to pair with a very unique player personality and traits to get where they are. I think an average coach and GM would not have been able to help Allen become the player he is, and by consequence, the Bills would not have been nearly as good. Most on this board, including myself and the vast majority of "experts," didn't want Allen as their first choice, or even the first Josh. Unless you are 14 (which is possible), you will no doubt remember that almost no one but the Bills believed that Allen would be much more than an average QB, let alone an MVP. And few would have guessed that the Bills would become a perennial playoff contender and then a Super Bowl contender. That would not have happened without excellent coaching and team building.
  13. There may be many other factors at work. For one, playoff games tend to have much more evenly matched teams. While during the regular season, bad teams tend to lose no matter where they play. I think it would be instructive to determine whether teams play BETTER at home or on the road. A bad team might get killed on the road but perhaps play better (and still lose) to the same team.
  14. That simplistic explanation comically ignores a mountain of additional variables necessary to field an elite team year after year. A Josh Allen-level QB makes that much easier, but even that took dozens of decisions to maximize his talent, let alone draft, sign, and coach the rest of the team. To suggest McDermott and Beane are "average" is troll-level posting.
  15. My God, even a hamster would know that Josh Allen didn't do all of this on his own. It's depressing how obtuse these "fans" can be.
  16. It's amazing how many fans do not appreciate McDermott. *Maybe* another coach could have won a Super Bowl over the past few years, but you have NO idea if that's true. In fact, any other coach could have led the team to worse outcomes. However, I do think there is ample evidence that this moribund franchise just so happened to turn around to become perennial playoff and Super Bowl contenders since he arrived.
  17. Now if you said Derrick Henry . . .
  18. Terrible for AVT. Great player. A major blow for a Jets Super Bowl.
  19. The Saints might not win a game all year.
  20. That might be true, but you'll need a relevant example.
  21. Philly and KC missing the playoffs seems to undermine the model just a tad.
  22. Bills could use the talent but not the drama. It must be a certified messed-up situation that Wilkins is still unsigned.
  23. I don’t think we should have traded Micah Parsons for him.
  24. Cool. He seems to have “it”: presence, likability, etc. Hope he can make a living doing it.
