  1. I don't trust you, so I just looked it up. Ha!
  2. meh. I like the red jersey, but the red pants and red socks and shoes are too much. Plus, it's weird seeing that photo of TT in the red uni on a red field in front of fans all wearing red. RED! What do the Jests ones look like?
  3. Woo hoo!! New Zealand does it again! 2 time world rugby champions. NZ All Blacks 34 Australia 17 Great game, great tournament.
  4. Who needs a shotgun, when you can just use a rugby ball? http://www.stuff.co.nz/national/73479572/stray-ball-takes-down-drone
  5. Well, the final is tomorrow morning. (NZ time) It should be a battle for the ages. Australia vs New Zealand. Go the All Blacks!!!
  6. I wasn't really directing that comment at you, Barbarian, just towards some of the other posters who are saying that rugby is softer, just because they're NFL fans.
  7. Ouch, that's gotta be one sad hotel tonight. Are there a lot of Kiwis around? Now, those rugby fans sure know how to have a great time. Go the All Blacks!
  8. First of all, I feel that I should have a disclaimer... I thoroughly enjoy watching NZ and international rugby, (American rugby is light years behind.) but NFL Football is far and away my favorite sport. That being said, there are a couple ways to look at this argument, regarding NFL vs Rugby Union toughness. I believe that the hits in the NFL are so powerful and violent are BECAUSE they are wearing pads and not the other way around. Same goes for concussions. A couple years ago, when concussions were the big topic, I heard people agrue that a sure way to reduce the number of concussions would be to actually get rid of helmets completlely. This isn't something that I endorse, but I think it holds a lot of merit. The level of "violence" increases with the level of protection. Also, if you have never truly watched at least a couple games of international rugby, you really shouldn't talk. I thought Chris Hogan played lacrosse, not rugby.Did he play both sports?
  9. New Zealand defeats South Africa in a hard-fought, nail biter of a match to get to the finals. They will face the winner of tomorrows Austailia vs Argentine match. Let go, the All Blacks! Anyone else following the action?
  10. I just thought of a story that I thought I'd share with you. I'm sure more than a couple of you rolled your eyes, when I said that I think rugby players are "tougher" than American Football player. If you want a little proof, read this little story about Wayne "Buck" Shelford, who played for New Zealand in the 80's. The man is a legend. http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/10584457/Five-Kiwi-moments-of-playing-on-while-injured
  11. Living in New Zealand, I hear a lot of Kiwi's compare "American football" or "Gridiron" to Rugby. They are two completely different games. "Gridiron" is a lot more violent (because of the pads and helmets) but I think rugby players are generally a lot tougher. That being said, go All Blacks! (We're in the Rugby World Cup semi finals this weekend.)
  12. Be sure to cheer for the mighty All Blacks during the Rugby World Cup, that's also taking place in England.
  13. Another strange cloud formation in China. Weird http://www.stuff.co.nz/world/asia/73140078/floating-city-appears-in-clouds-over-china
  14. I'm very sad to hear about this. Bill, I wish you nothing but the very best and hope that you have a very quick recovery. Sending you positive vibes all the way from New Zealand. "Listen to the river sing sweet songs, to rock my soul."
  15. New Zealand crushes France, 62 -13!! Bring on the Springboks!
  16. Well, we're finally on to the quarterfinals with South Africa beating Wales earlier today. Argh, I would've loved for the Welsh to continue on to the Semi's. The mighty All Blacks are looking really tough against France right now, in the first half of the match. Who else is watching?
  17. I wonder how come up with those numbers. $23,152 and $8,681??
  18. Yup, he played a great game yesterday. (Far better than Gilmore's)
  19. Ugh, what a crap game to watch. Gilmore was totally being pick on in the first quarter. I know he had a better 2nd half, but that first half was brutal. Shutdown corner? Not yet. The Giants specials teams (especially on kick and punt coverage) were on fire. Marcel is a stud. Our defensive line schemes simply aren't working. Are the coaches trying to be too fancy? It was very frustrating. (I wish The Schwartz was still with us.) Our O-line still has a looooong way to go. Tyrod is awesome. I love watching that guy play. His arm motion is as smooth as silk on those long throw. Those penalties were inexcusable. Hughes and Brown need to learn how to calm the f**k down when the play ends. I'm officially worried about Carpenter. Clay had a strong 2nd half, but didn't seem to know where the first down marker was in the first half. What the heck happened to Roman's awesome play calling? Last week was a thing of beauty, but this week was a shocker. Bring on the Titans! (and let's please get our injured player back ASAP.) Let's go Buffalo!
  20. He was totally being picked on in the first quarter by Manning.
  21. Sorry, but that's not even close to being correct. (Unless you're defining "problems" differently than I am.) I live in New Zealand, where even the police don't carry guns, and a mass-shooting, or terrorism are the LAST things on anyone's minds.
  22. He's a cheat and should have been suspended. Simple as that.
  23. The mighty All Blacks didn't really impress this morning against the Pumas. I hope they're just getting it into gear now. That being said... how about the Springboks?? HaHa, I love it!!
  24. Ugh, what a game. Although the final score didn't really show it... the Bills were soundly beaten. Our offense line was a total mess today. Barely any time to throw and very few running lanes. Surprisingly, the defensive live was also a big mess today. They generated barely any pressure on Brady and the tackle was sub-par. VERY disappointing. Gilmore has shown flashes but is way overrated. Shut down corner? Not yet. The penalties just killed this game. (Not only killed it for the play on the field, but was made it bad to watch.) I still have a lot of faith in TT. The man has a good head and a helluva lot of skill. Very poor play calling after our opening score. It was good to see McCoy and Watkins have decent games. Squish the fish!! Let's go Buffalo!!
