  1. I pretty much agree on points 2 and 4. Keep drafting DL--- eventually, you have to hit on one--- right?
  2. Need an "every down" back now. Currently have 3rd down/gadjet guys.
  3. Rodgers is pushing 40, and it looked to me like he took a step back last year. I would not rate him 2nd at this point-- probably Burrow for me.
  4. Dawson to Taylor was a great combo. Was a big fan back in the day. RIP, Otis.
  5. Davis has not shown he is a #2, but if you deal him (I would take a 2nd round pick), who do you replace him with? WR is a current need, and that would open another hole.
  6. Time for a fresh look and new perspective. Not sure if that happens , though, if McDermott just assumes the duties. Hope there is an outside hire.
  7. Neither. I've pretty much given up hope that it will happen in my lifetime.
  8. Tired of the copycat cliche. They need to draft and coach on par with the Chiefs-- that is true. Doesn't hurt that KC's run started off with Mahomes.
  9. Other than White, they were ok going into the KC game last year.
  10. If we could include firing here, obviously I would look at the defensive coaches. I would have done that last year, though.
  11. I am usually wrong about draft projections (I wanted the other Josh, originally), but I did want Mahomes in '17. Now? WR2 and the OL. Upgrade the D-Line, as well. Tired of giving up huge chunks on the ground in key spots every year with all the great defensive minds on staff.
  12. I agree with the poster who said what made the boards "toxic" was the bickering between members. Some threads get hijacked by this nonsense, and the chance for reasonable discussion is gone. Overall, most of the negativity is born of frustration. The inexplicable 13 seconds, and then the complete beat down in this year's last game (although with all the team went through during the year-- should not be all that surprising). Also, the failure to make any coaching changes. Bringing in some fresh ideas (defense, in particular) would have been a good idea, I believe. There is the concern--- based on horrible performances by the D in the playoffs -- that this group (coaches) is not going to get it done. Players are going to be lost (safety duo?-- not sure of either of them now, Edmunds?). The top end of the draft has not gone well the past few years (so many defensive picks that haven't performed to expectations) . That has to change, or the team will regress. You never know how long a SB window will stay open (in the Bills' division, the Jets have a really nice roster-- minus QB, and Miami is a threat when healthy). Bottom line, fans are just hoping to see a SB while Allen is here. There are no guarantees, and the conference has several good young QB's, while the Bills have major cap concerns and need to upgrade the roster. So many questions--- but just have to hope everything falls into place one year soon.
  13. I would hope the #2 is not currently on the roster.
  14. The Chiefs are in the Super Bowl with a couple rookies playing at a high level in the secondary--- and no Tyreek Hill. The Bills got Elam and Benford-- two question marks, who struggled more often than not (defensive scheme is an issue, but looks like nothing will change there). Elam was even a healthy scratch once.
  15. In West Seneca--- felt like three explosions, which shook the house. Thought a car hit us at first.
  16. Last year, they were on a roll (Allen was especially hot), and then 13 seconds happened. This year, they were struggling (as was the QB) heading into the playoffs, and got blown out. I am very concerned at this point that this coaching staff-- with no changes, will get the team to the SB (McDermott only defensive coach in the playoffs, and his/Frazier's D has been awful in the postseason).
  17. Lower expectations. A lot to fix, and no cap space. Really need to draft well, for a change.
  18. It's line play. Burrow was sacked five times by KC-- the Bills were utterly hapless.
  19. Too bad it ended the way it did-- was hoping for OT. Key for KC on defense was the heat they generated on Burrow-- led by Chris Jones.
  20. He is still far better than anyone the Bills have on their D-Line.
  21. Game was unwatchable after Purdy went out.
  22. Coming off an injury, he regressed in 2022. He needs competition in camp next year. We shall see.
  23. Depressing. He seems happy with Dorsey and Frazier, and there is no cap space.
  24. All those draft picks spent on D-Line, and they haven't worked out.
  25. Beane press conference was disappointing. He pretty much gave Dorsey and Frazier votes of confidence. All the picks on defense, and it never fails to disappoint. I don't see how this will change (other than 34 year-old Miller-- whenever he returns). Very little cap space for free agents, so they are in a really tough spot. -
