  1. My expectations are lower. Before 13 seconds, the SB seemed to be right there for the Bills. After that debacle, and the way last season ended--it's only natural to temper hopes until we see how they look. There is also the concern that other teams in the division/conference have caught up-- or passed them. We shall see.
  2. Thought for sure the Chargers were going to win. Frustrating result.
  3. Playing 10 yards off the receiver and then chasing him down after the catch-- that's basically White (thought he was a bit overrated pre-injury). Just watch him against Wilson. Unfortunately, I see the Bills with a mediocre group of CB's (Benford, 6th rounder, starting over Elam-- 1st round pick, and Jackson, a 7th rounder). Safeties are top-notch, but injuries and age may take their toll.
  4. Interesting how Bernard "won" the job while he was injured (McDermott said it was too close to call with Dodson-- and would like to see someone step up). My opinion-- he saw how bad Dodson was in the preseason, and Bernard was named the starter since the other contenders took themselves out based on performance. It sure would have been nice if the Bills had addressed MLB more seriously in the offseason, instead of assuming someone would step up. Having seen Bernard last year (unless he is greatly improved-- didn't sound like it, when he was in a dead-heat with Dodson), I assume he is a place-holder until Kirksey is up to speed.
  5. Keep hearing about the Bills depth on the D-Line. Unfortunately, it is all mediocre (other than Miller)--- lacking in quality.
  6. Tough to miss on so many, especially high picks on defense. Add in Oliver-- who got the big contract, which is tough to understand, and Rousseau-- who has done next to nothing when Miller is not in the lineup. Best players are Floyd and Miller-- aging vets from other teams. Two recent CB's-- Elam and Benford-- does not matter who wins the job-- neither will become elite. Defense is scary (esp when Miller is out)-- and not in a good way.
  7. ST's again. Two weeks in a row on a punt.
  8. Interesting group of RB's. Not impressed by Murray-- is he a lock?
  9. Isabella not helping his chances today.
  10. This game is deteriorating, to say the least.
  11. ST's issue, once again.
  12. Nice throw there by Allen.
  13. Nice play by Benford. MLB is a problem.
  14. Shouldn't have Allen throwing deep-- not exactly a strength.
  15. One drop. The other was a good play by the DB.
  16. After the way they looked the last two times they were on the field, it is definitely the right decision.
  17. They should have done more to address the loss of Edmunds (instead of thinking they had an answer with Bernard, or career backup, Dodson). Also, OT-- just based on play last year,i t was very clear that this was an issue. Unfortunately, they did not see the need to bring in someone who could truly compete with the starters.
  18. I know it is "just preseason," but that game reminded me too much of the Cincinnati game. Hope that's not the trend.
  19. Help Wanted: OT DL MLB CB
  20. I do. But preseason, or regular-- Dawkins and Brown are scary at OT. On defense, I still see major issues vs the run, and no pass rush. Also, none of the CB's have been at all impressive. But all of that will magically change when the season starts?
  21. You could not dream up a worse scenario. All the starters in at the beginning--- and they were awful. There is no middle linebacker, and both lines are awful. How do you fix these problems?
  22. White playing 10 yds. off. Do the Bills have one legit starting CB?
  23. Not much new-- both lines stink.
  24. At least RT isn't an issue.
